- Iterating faster, avoiding bugs through tools, and improved automated testing are great ideas, but in this talk Google's Paul Irish will show how to really incorporate them into a functional and realistic developer workflow. Additionally, Paul gives us an overview of Yeoman and shows how this set of tools and libraries can help developers quickly build elegant and compelling web apps.

Once again wonderful talk. Thanks Paul
I learning something productive every time i watch his talks.
Paul Irish is the best developpers advocate so far !
Paul always help me developing better a lot
Paul Irish can talk about what he want. It always sounds interesting.
When he said "This is my bash prompt, there are many like it" I was expecting him to follow that up with "but this one is mine."
Paul == inspiration
How can I use this bash_promt on windows. Just putting it in the same directory as bash_profile doesn't seem to work. Im working on a windows machine btw. Also editing the bash_promt from the cmd line also doesn't do the trick am I missing something?
Agreed, but I am glad that you didn't did a type cast here. paul === inspiration :)
Thank you paul.
I'm at 18:00 and Paul has managed to lull me to a trance for the first time. Poor guy looks sleep deprived.
Is there a collection of the links mentioned in this video anywhere?
Can we have the link of the slides?
It's 13 minutes into the video. When will the actual workflow talk start?
didn't know Daniel Tosh was a brilliant web developer.
54:40 Is that a 'rule 34' and 'rule 35' for workflow automation?
Link is not working my friend.
good for me
Web app dev workflow by yeoman creator.
Why is this a top comment? I'm already here, at the video, about to watch... why does the top comment tell me exactly what I already know? I don't get the new youtube comment system.
paul give same first two reference in many video ..
If google would make chrome-frame a requirement to use their search, or a feature of it, then at least chrome-frame might make the situation a bit better. ;)
(RUclips caveat: this is unrealistic and not meant to troll or provoke a flame war)
What? Everything he is talking about is a tool or strategy for a better (or at least more interesting) workflow.
Where did you see me write that I wished there was one device and one browser? I would never wish that. Please read closely!
Needs more unicorns.

#t=03m:30s Story of my life.
38:02 I consider it a complete failure for this industry that you have to test a document or web application on so many different devices and web browsers. Any company that refuses to cooperate with well defined standards should be treated as though they have Ebola fever and ignored into extinction.

Then you clearly have no clue what you are talking about. If there was only one device and one browser, not only would the world be a very boring place but the industry would stagnate as there would be no competition. The benefits for faster innovation that competition between different companies brings far outweighs the cost of having to develop for them, because no one is making you do that. If you have a valid reason then don't develop for a specific platform, it will either get better or die
