I really like Joe's collaboration with young pilots and students, as an experienced pilot who passes on his knowledge to young people. I watched Joe and Pascal's interview on Pascal's RUclips channel. Very good videos! Joe, these videos make me happy, I smile! 😊🦋 A lot of kind and positive energy! 💯 Welcome to the Sky, young pilots! 🙏💙✈️🌈🛩️☀️🚁💙
Great video as always! I feel like airlines should release more information in relation to their interviews so future pilots could know what to expect 👍
Middle of my IR training, this is really helpful in crushing some of the anxiety i had regarding job interviews!
Great interview with Pascal! Thank you Joey 🥰
Great content as always Cap. Joe!
Thank you - great discussion and I’m so glad you talked about being honest and yourself. You both have such a great personality.
Thanks Doc :)
Captain Joe,
can feel even more confident knowing what you have to be skilled in to be a commercial pilot...Wow!
Next step Astronaut training:)
Cheers,
Rik
Got called to the first stage of the EW assessment last July, came across this video and I agree with everything! 3 stages of assessment later I got offered the position in December and I start Type Rating in a few weeks! Thanks for the advice Joe + Pascal!
Ganz ehrlich gesagt und deutlich. Danke euch!
I love these guys, they inspire me alot
Thanks very much for the video Joe! This will help me a lot in the future!
Captain Joe and Pascal, this was wonderful!! Great collab and informative!! Subbed to Pascal's YT also. . .looking forward to more fun and educational videos from BOTH of you!! Cheers!! 💕✈✈💕
Thanks Diane!
damn, he is back with another banger vid👍🏼
Great vid! Weirdly have an airline interview coming up, thanks C. Joe!!!
Perfect!
Ive been waiting for this Video
Let's go. Haven't seen Joe for a while
best video for airline preparation ever!
Happy to see this good video, telling about the subject and experience during learning is very enjoyable. very cool and interesting video. 🔥✈️
Thanks a lot!!! I have just got a message about my successful completing the selection process for my Airline pilot training program thanks to your videos🥳
Captain Joe has always topics from a practical point of view... I really like that... thank you Pascal for the interview and Captain Joe for sharing again a nice topic!
Thanks Marc!
Amazing how one day your favourite aviation and life mentour and the airline you work for collab together 🤩❣️ life is full of wonderful surprises
Amazing to think Pascal is flying long hauled already with only 1300 hrs. I’m at similar time and still flying Cherokees looking to get my 1500 for my ATP so I can join the regionals here in the US
That was a superb video - thank you both! I'm not going to be a pilot (I'd be a terrible pilot - I'm afraid of flying! 😄), but this is such an invaluable resource for those wanting to train as a pilot. As with many of your videos!
As a passenger, I really appreciate how calmly you explain things. Thanks for the great videos!
Thanks for the lovely feedback!
@@flywithcaptainjoe tudo bem captain joe ?
Muy bien video capitán Joe.very well video captain joe.mis saludos cordiales.
Grandmother came to USA at 12 years old didn’t speak English ( she came by boat as there were no flights in 1912). She spoke perfect English with no accent. After watching many movies from the 1930s I realized that is where she learned English. She spoke like they did in the old movies. She also said that adding sound to the movies was the greatest technological marvel of her life. She was accepted to UC Berkeley at 17 but had to support her mother ( no English) and baby brother as her dad died in 1917 flu epidemic. I loved hearing Pascal saying it is a good way to brush up on English.
Nice intro..and definitely best aviation content
Super Video und sehr gute Zusammenarbeit
Love this video!!
Captain Joe, back when COVID first hit and airlines were basically grounded for passenger flights, you did a video showing that most of the time, bad times for airlines usually means when things are better in the economy, or in this case COVID, they tend to do even better on the rebound? Can you update us on this, as it appears they are back to hiring, as in the news they are talking about struggling to get back up to speed, and demand is so high now. Would like to hear how the airline industry is going now? And thanks to Pascalklr for the info and Subscribed to his channel.
Captain, I used to be extremely nervous on and before flights. To the point I had to go to the doctor for diazepam but even that did not help. Since watching your videos right from the start it has made me much more at ease. Sometimes I don’t understand what you are talking about in terms of the mathematics but it’s absolutely fascinating to listen to. Because of you I no longer need diazepam. I just wish you posted more often because it’s very enjoyable. Thank you captain.
Indeed! :-)
If the company rules and his personal life permit... Joe ji wikipedia.org/wiki/-ji , Petter ji, Juan ji and others can think of locally holding tours or workshops with aspiring future colleagues/ youngsters or general people ...like you/me who have been profoundly impacted by these productions.👌🏽🤍💙
that is so cool! there are other channels that might help you like mentour pilot
Good luck dear captain! 😍🥰❤️ I very like you and I hope I can be a pilot like you! 😍🥰❤️
Now I know what to except In an airline Interview splendid video yet again Captain!
My pleasure! Thanks!
Does Pascal have an Instagram account?
Oh yeah, what is the difference between the Boeing 747-8 and the 747-8i?
@@mainafamily3518747-8i is the passenger version of the dash 8
This was a great video, thank you Captain Joe for interviewing Pascal!
Great initiative Captain Joe , your will to help and motivate people is just priceless . But how do you feel about the « exageration « on physics and maths , is this really how they should scan people for an operational and dynamic task like flying ? After all those ATPLs … A Captain with years of experience joining those airlines will be denoted as unsuitable for the job ?? If he doesn’t remember how to work the cosine and sine ??
Terrific video, excellent in all respects. Little wonder why I have never voted a thumbs down on your videos. Brilliant...
Funny, I've just flown RSW FRA with EW Discover, and I'll fly FRA ANC in two or three weeks :)
A video about FMC/MCDU would also be appreciated , thanks.
Thanks, I'm preparing for this challenge 🙈
Great questions!
Haha Pascal, You and Me only had to do the CQ comming from Tui ;) still good to know for everyone else what to expect at the BQ and screening.
Captain Joe I have followed you my entire life
Very interesting. thanks
Invaluable.
Thanks Lewis! One word says it all ;)
Hi,
Thank you for this amazing video, really helpful. He named a website to practice English. Could we know what that was. The word he said was a bit not clear.
I’m not a pilot, just someone who likes Joe’s videos - but at first I thought I was watching an interview to get into flight school and it scared me to death. It got better once I realised this was a test for already qualified pilots, but the maths would be something I’d struggle with right at the start. Reading that list at the bottom of the screen makes me realise that it’s probably best to have a degree in the subject before starting flight school 🙁.
Covid destroyed many jobs! Best of luck, Pascal and Aloha from Brazil 🙋🏼♀️✈️✨
Every time I see a new video I enjoy it very much. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn and understand things a better way.
Please, would it be possible to write down the exact name of the preparation software for the english language? I am getting ready for those exams and searching for all material to improve my english knowledge, I would also appreciate some suggestion on what books are appropriate to improve the synonyms. I have sky test but the English by EW Europe was completely different than it is in the sky test, therefore I would be really very thankful for more material to be able to improve my English.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Andie
Hi, did you foundthe name already? Searching as well :-)
Could you please do videos of "physics, chemistry, mathematics" as series
You’re a good guy Captain my Captain. 😄
From one thing to another.
Do you think Rolls Royce Ultrafan engine could be a solution for the 4 engine issue?
That will say the future of 747 and a380 series. To possibly make them into a 2 engine aircraft.
Currently they can't be retro fitted as far as i know. But would love your input on it since you currently fly the queen of the sky.
As a passenger, should I get worried that my holiday flights may get cancelled due to lack of aviation personnel?
I like how they give advice as if the subscribers were pilots
I hope most of them are ;)
@@flywithcaptainjoe I will be a pilot and these are very helpful videos
Boa noite captain joe sucesso
How are you doing Captain? Long time since i watched one of your videos, how is life goin?
As a fan of yours and 74 gears channels I would love for you two at some point to get together and do a video! Anyways keep up the good work Joe!
Yes that is the plan! Kelsey’s channel is great! I would love to put a video out with him!
May I know what is the software that Pascal used for his English practices? Anyone that answer it will totally appreciate 🙏
Lucky guys, wish I could get a proper flying job ✈️👨✈️
Captain Joe can you explain why FedEx installed anti-Missile systems on its aircrafts.
I think it’s so funny that even into the airlines holding will forever haunt us
I’m applying to AirBaltic’s piloting academy. There’s no previous experience needed. They will train you up.
I’m mostly worried about the maths and physics. Physics less so. I did well in my college class. But I hope that they can help me out. I’m a slow learner of maths.
However with enough repetition I can grasp the stuff. Proof? I did relatively hard math in my laboratory group. Slow to start, but by the end of it I could conduct an experiment by my own volition.
I think I have the English requirement down though lol.
how convenient, I have the sim check in 2 weeks at interpersonal
As if we knew :)
Hello captain Joe
Can u pls make a video on how to put an aircraft in cold and dark mode and back in active mode. If u have already made a video on this then pls share link.
Thank u 😊
Online in three weeks!
Can you make the video on student pilot aptitude test?
Great video. Just a quick question : how do you prepare for psychometric tests for a specific company ?
Skytest is a good one!
Ahh thanks Joe!
Amigo Joe deberías poner las traducciones al español la comunidad española y latinoamericana está viendo sus videos son muy interesantes 💪
Captain will they any questions from physics chapter light, reflection and refraction ? 😅
I propose a video of how to survive type rating. Cheers
Hey Pascal, may i ask in which Sim you prepared for the Screening?
I usually pass the screenings successfully. For me the last part of an airline assessment is always the worst part, the interview, even when well prepared. I always find myself struggling with this but unfortunately airlines never tell you the reason why they decline you.
May i ask on which airline you did your assesment and how the fq went? We have the same lastname btw lol
I would want to be a pilot in the future one day.
i am 14 and aspire to bcom a pilot. Love ur vids Joe ! pls guide me on how to develop my skills at this level of grade 9
First of all learn how to write decent English, you will need it!
I had to give up on being a pilot as it requires so much money 😔
I believe I can fly after good schooling n preps
I'm getting some Max Headroom vibes from Joe
1.300 hours and already flying an a330, damn europe is on fire
I know what you're saying ;)
Im your fan from India...Im a private pilot license holder..
Very useful video
Thanks :)
I have no experience flying stuff, but needing to know roots by heart feels...not very useful. Can any pilot shed some light?
When I failed my psychological in the assessment at LH back in 2011, I left the building, kicked a trash can and was fined a 10 € Verwarnungsgeld due to Beschädigung öffentlichen Eigentums.
I guess you are not going there again!
😂😂😂😂bester Mann
Great Video! What was the software that he said for the English exam, thanks!
For English I would recommend vimana ✈️✌️
Aviation Exam for the ATPL theory, and Skytest for the apitude tests
@@Pascalklr den normalen testtrainer dlr oder welches Programm ?
I am definitely considering becoming an airline pilot and wondered if I need to study A level maths/physics if I want to fly for British Airways? Thanks
No all you need is money too Pay for the classe🙂
what about Paksitan where they got unlicensed pilots to fly?
Hi there ...can u please tell me the softs name for english preparations?Thanks...Got icao 5 but i dont think thats enough
Hi, just text u for ur suggestion, Aeronautical, Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical, which Engineering is best and mostly hiring in the Aircraft field?
Which course is best for girl and this field is suitable for girls?
Super video 👍❤️, but if you add the subtitles it will be more useful for the people like me who can't understand your accent completely, so please do it👍
I turned on closed-captioning and while there were transcription errors, most of the text was accurate.
4:35 what did he say ? Kobimana?
I LOVE TO BE PILOT AND I GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL
BUT I DONT HAVE ANY CHANCE FOR IT
I AM FROM SOMALIA☹️☹️☹️☹️
Captain, u don't age omg 😱
What about the flaps video of the 747?
Will continue! Such videos need long approvals
👍👍

Is there a website that lets you practice the kind of mental math they expect from you?
To me it's quite baffling that we have to learn square roots by heart just because,is there even a situation where square roots come in handy during flight?
I would say youtube is your friend here to find training exercises for head calculations
Hello
Interesting, do I need physical science to become a pilot in South Africa because when I google it it says no and I am not sure now?
Not a requirement for flight school but highly advantageous career wise
@@marklopez7799 Oh great stuff, thanks so much man!!!
Which English learning app did he say in the video?
Just a question: Will the UK tour be online?
Sadly no
@@flywithcaptainjoe Thats fine
Captain Joe what airlines do you recommend in the U.S because I'm trying to find a good career as a pilot
Google "the Big 5 in the US"
Ok thanks
The BIG BIG airlines are: American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines. Normal sized airlines are: Jet Blue, Alaska Airlines, Southwest, Spirit, Frontier, Allegiant, Breeze, Northern Pacific (New airline fleet of 757s based in Alaska)
You will have to get your R-ATPL (1000 hr at specific Part 141 Universities) or 1500 hrs for your full ATPL. Air Wisconsin, Envoy, Republic Airways, Mesa, Sky West are your regional airlines. Each regional airline has a feeder route to specific big carriers. For example, if you go to Envoy, you will most likely go to American. Air Wisconsin, United and so on. You will start at ERJ 135-145-175-190-195, CRJ 200-550-700-900, possibly A319-320. Very long and expensive process.
Envoy, Skywest, and Republic are good airlines to start with.
🤙
can you do a video as to how to pay for flight school
1.loan
2.loan
3.loan 😂or work for several years and pay the 75k. But in this case you will probably be to old to be attractive for the airlines
Have money.
@@mrwasgehtsiedasan8651 75k is not enough to become a pilot nowadays you need at least 200k
@@mikhailg4500 no…not here in Germany. I know it exactly. You have to pay 72k for your License and after that MAYBE 30k for type. It depends on the airline. So in conclusion it’s possible to become a pilot with 72k. (Privat school)
@@mrwasgehtsiedasan8651 I live in the uk so its quite different here
