Nice to see some FM love! My band used to play "Random Harvest" from FM's "Surveillance" - I think it was in F# or B. Great band, it's a shame they aren't more popular.
Remember seeing FM at Mingles in London, Ontario about 4 times in the late 70s early 80s. Martin Deller, Cameron Hawkins, Nash, and or Ben Mink. Fantastic memories. Great shows. Thanxs!!!
Well done, excellent post - I discovered 'Black Noise' on FM radio and found a copy in the record section of my local library. Almost 20 years later, I found a CD copy of 'Black Noise' in a Tower Records shop in Daegu, South Korea. It is a prized possession. Thanks again for posting!
All three members of this band are and in the case of Nash were such fantastic talented musicians. Martin Deller is one of the best drummers in rock pr pop music there was a good reason Neil Pert of Rush would often mention Martin Deller as one of his top picks for best drummers.
HAPPY CANADA DAY! Time to bust out the roto-toms, mandolin and mini-Moog to take a journey across time and space with Canada's original progressive rock band … FM! ruclips.net/video/z0b0uTBbayY/видео.html
FM were such an underrated band. "Black Noise" is one of my favourite albums of all time.
I agree, I have both the record and CD. It's always good to play that at home or in my car.👍
Black Noise freakin RULES!
it really is one of the best prog records of all time
Amazing that their live performances are done so well. Many bands cannot perform their songs live as good as the studio version.
Phasors on Stun cranked up to 11 on a really large stereo is pure heaven. One of my favorite songs.
Great memories of Toronto in the late 80s - early 90s. Thanks to whomever dug out this gem and posted.
Great to see this awesome footage of "Phasors On Stun," one of the great Prog-rock songs...
oh my God, HOLY f8ck what's going on here? Pure niceness, proud that they're Canadian!

One of the greatest concert I ever had a pleasure to see was back in July 19 80 Mapleleaf Gardens ,prism ,FM ,and the pumps.

wow Blacknoise CD in south Korea thats wild
According to Cam Hawkins, NTS's end came very peacefully. One minute, just a guy sitting on a sofa with a beer in his hand, the next minute a corpse.
RIP. Great talent
A good way to go actually.
This is the first time I’ve heard FM. It’s not bad. Been listening to Nash the Slash since the 1980s.
Thanks for this upload. FM helped us get get into space in the days of exploration!!!
RIP Nash. Just heard. Always loved this band.
A gem, classic from another time.

Looks like Martin Deller on drums, with Nash the Slash on mandolin and harmony vocals, and of course Cameron Hawkins on keyboards and lead vocals.
It is Martin Deller with Nash & Cam. I was the tour manager for this show. Cam & I go back to 1974

Martin Deller is absolutely ridiculous. He is a hybrid of Stewart Copeland and Neil Peart.
no
Outstanding
great players, insanely talented
RIP Nash the Slash
saw them in London, Ontario before Rush
Cool Cool
A great video!
fm was originally just cam and nash i think. they added drums and then nash quit because he felt having a drummer was too "commercial".(?)
Rip
Where was this performance?
Toronto. The Masonic Temple. Zeppelin played there. I remember watching this broadcast back in the day. I might still have this on VHS
