Thank you so much for the vide, Grant. I am looking to do this drive soon!
i was born and still live in Finland but Vancouver Island is probably the place i want to move to some fine day. i don't know what it is about the Pacific Northwest that calls to me but it's something i know i can't ignore for the rest of my life.
From the island
Its great environment wise, but the small towns do gossip and each town has its own personality.
However if that doesn't bother you, its almost mythical. The sunsets during the winter are my favorite because they can be a deep purple.
Funnily enough, I've thought about living in Finland.
Oh!
And the food. We may be northern, but we a southern heart when it comes to food on this island.
It is the wild salmon waiting to be hooked
Just go and ignore all the bullshit and gossip that you don't know about in the small towns
Port Alice is my home. All I have to do to remind myself of how lucky I am to live where I do, is walk out the front door. It is the access point to some of the most incredible unknown, unnamed beaches on the west coast of the north island. A quiet little piece of heaven on earth. Welcome, and thanks for stopping by.
Do you know my son Mike?
I spent two weeks in Port Alice in Jan this year. It had a rugged quiet beauty. So glad I got to experience it.
I don't know which towns I'm looking at exactly, but can guess the first larger one is sayward..will have to go exploring and find out ! Thanks.
Nice video! New sub here😄
Friggon Islands. Yes they are really called that!
A Friggon is a type of sea bird, as we know the word is often used as a substitute to soften another word. 😁
The 2 cars that had to pass on a double line due to your car and the drone . not cool considering how dangerous our highway is
Yeeah, that pretty reckless
cool shot tho
@@camerondowney273 true just hope next time they do something different so everyone is safe
only one passed on the double. The first one was well into the overtake when the double arrived. If you are going to criticize at least get the basic facts correct.
The problem is he was doing half the speed limit and vision is limited on that highway I know it well you'd have little warning coming up on someone going so slow. The first guy passed on a double the next guy had to hammer his brakes on because they were into a curve by then. Yeah, not cool at all hopefully a learning experience. @@bubba5174
beaaaauuutttyyyyyy
Your title should read: Northern Vancouver Island, not North Vancouver Island.
Drone shots are just so misleading. These shots are irrelevant unless you are a bird 😂
I'm from there, those shots are not misleading
I live there. It looks better from the ground.
