I have a question about the Installer setup when using the NFC mode.
I just noticed that on two-stage furnaces, the low heat mode has an off-on switch. If using a single-stage thermostat, does the low heat need to be turned or does the board automatically control the staging, even if the switch says "off"?
The manual doesn't really explain any of that.

This video was specific to entry level models, which are single stage. In the case of 2-stage units, the settings you are seeing on the app are basically the same as the old settings on dip switches. You can configure Bryant 2-stage furnaces to run off of a single stage stat and just a W1 wire. There is an algorithm in the furnace circuit boards (old style and new NFC style) that will bring on second stage. However, the algorithm is basically a glorified time delay so if you have the ability to use a W2 wire from your thermostat that is much preferred.

Keeps saying error connecting to the chip and the furnace is off but it keeps saying that

If you are unable to read the chip it generally a function of knowing where the chip is located in your phone and what angle to hold your phone at. For example, an iPhone has the chip up at the top and it works best holding it from corner to corner on the square printed on the circuit board and then angling it at 30-45 degree angle to the board. There is a learning curve. We have helped dealers with hundreds of phones since the summer so we have gotten good at figuring each phone out when it is in our hands.

Where are you reading that the furnace is "off?'
