    Rich never disappoints hes a real "technician " some people are "repair men" ..nothing wrong with being a regular repairman but everyone should try to get to the level of being able to teach the thing they do and get to expert level

    Well I have a GE Adora Dishwasher that want drain. So now I got a good idea about what the problem may be. I have already changed the float switch as it was bad and the drain pump. Everything else works. So, that would eliminate the door switches I think. Got to be the board I think. Any suggestions?

      That is exactly why I bought a fm transmitter for the work truck so I can hear it while driving but it's still a little hard cause it's not the clearest it could be

    Wouldn't a temp sensor or thermistor be a control for example a bimetal just a bimetal switch that controls a function? As opposed to a load like the heater it controls

    • @TMMApplianceRepair
      @TMMApplianceRepair  Год назад +2

      Well a thermistor is a resistor that changes its value based on temperature. Yes the board uses this resistance and calculates the temperature. The reason I call it a load as it does not directly turn anything off like a switch does, the control board does that. it is a fine line between the two and could be called a control but indirectly.

      @@TMMApplianceRepair ah understood..what about a defrost bi metal that will open and cut off the heater in a freezer? The resistor makes sense to me now thanks

    • @fixitfelix718
      @fixitfelix718 Год назад

      I assume bimetal is a control and thermistor going through board is.more of a load.

    • @riz65
      @riz65 Год назад +2

      @@fixitfelix718 yes, the board does usually supply 5vdc through the thermistor, very similar to a load

    Excellent Teaching!! But LOL some of these guys are going to be technicians? Don't get me wrong, I have never had any experience in this, but after sitting through the whole session all of the sub diagrams addressing the door switches, dispenser and drain motor and then teach draws a diagram circuit through the heater and thermostat and asks "What one thing you should test first?" and dude said Rinse Level Sensor with no lines anywhere near it 🤣Please don't send him to my house.
