Man I want a mk1 soo bad. I just don’t have the space to do things like this, since I live in a apartment building. A couple years ago I almost bought a mk1 but the issue was some rust on the passenger floor pan with a small hole going through. Also it would have needed a passenger side door since it had a decent size rust hole going through. The guy was only asking 750 but I wasn’t sure about the rust and want to learn how to do it myself and not pay a shop. Hopefully one day I can get a mk1, spray it Atlantis blue, and a turbo vr6, and if I’m rich 4motion that sucker!😉😉 I can’t wait to see the end product of your car!
Hahaha ya available space is definitely an asset ! Well hopefully you get your dream to come true sooner than later, these cars are AWESOME!! And you wont regret it for a second! And that Atlantis Blue Dream car sounds pretty amazing!! Thanks so much for watching and really appreciate the comments!! Cheers!!

What undercoating did you use? I just picked up a mk2 jetta gtx and was going to do the exact thing you did here in this video as the interior was dismantled before I bought it so it's the perfect opportunity to do it. And then I saw your video, what better timing

Man the body is going to outlast mankind
Awesome job!!! I'll be doing the same process on my 84 rabbit. Hiw did you get rid off all the wax..aka gorilla snot? Or did you fo over it?
I fortunately didn't have any wax in the interior, just in the inners and liners of the hidden panels. However, if you mean that crappy seem sealer mud, some of it i cleaned up first other areas i just left since i was coating over it anyways. Helps for sound deadening! Thank you very much for the comments and appreciate you watching! Good luck on your project, thats awesome!! Cheers
