I used to ride dirt when I was a kid, quit for 7-8 years. Started riding transition maybe a month ago. My town has a pretty small park, super tight bowl that zigzags downhill, but in the past month I’ve learned to drop in, fly out, 180, fakie(somewhat, can’t turn out), and last night I decided to send it on the 12ft vert wall when I’ve only been able to carve in the bowl not 180 on transition. I got it down now. Thanks for the help dude, doin stuff I never imagined when I was a kid
Best “How To Air Out” video I’ve seen. Like the fact you cover casing in your videos as it makes it seem less worrying! Next how to suggestion: How to 180 off of grinds! Could cover both hard way and easy!
Best how to air video i have seen by far great work spencer. I hope for more how to vids in the future as you explain in good detail of what can happen and also how to avoid as well.
I like to how your progression went from little 180 hops under the coping to fully airing out. That's the bit I need to figure out! Useful video tho, I'll get there eventually. Cased yesterday for the first time and flew off the bars on a 5 ft. I'm currently just about able to bonk the front tire
I have watched this video many times, but I just can't get the courage to believe I will be able to do it. I can do a bunnyhop in the transition and get around, but I am so unsure. I sometimes have success with the pump, but it often overwhelms me.
I want to clarify what you want to do when you case. If you are going to case try to keep your legs straight, so once you hit the top of the ramp compress your legs to stop yourself from being bucked over the bike.
Spencer you are the best! I can air out of a quarter and jump box jumps and stuff but going back into a ramp is hard. You should do how to transfer a hip, do you just shove your nose down into the other side after you air out?
hips are easy (at least for me), if they are mellow that is though.. You really have to nose into the hips as if not you could land with your back wheel and loop out. It just a matter of adjust your bike to the landing spot.
Thank you for the video I'll let you know when I eventually get it. I didn't realize you could only hit the coping with one tire that will help a lot! Keep making videos! Also get Adam to ride! He has a park in his back yard and just lets it sit
Wish I had little quarters like that when I learned... I had to learn on a 8 foot and 10 foot, I guess that's kinda good to learn bigger but I got them two broken arms later. I learned trucks before learning to air quarters
Should use captions when ur to far away from the camera, but wish this video was around 4 yrs ago when I was ridin. Was at Ross norton doin the half pipe, my sending skills in the air were gettin better started leavin the cooping, doin alrite w that then started goin alil bigger an found my landing skills were nose heavy to the cooping an head first 3 separate times to the ground. Even when wearing a helmet I think I had a concussion idk I just know me an Ramps r not best friends lol. Ur videos r awesome keep up the how tos, I'm goin back to basics on the bmx.
Damn this is the first time I’ve ever seen you be serious because you’re always joking around and making everyone laugh bro haha hell yeah quality video
How to crash without dying! It seems like you crash more in one session than most do in a year and still you just get back up on the horse. Spread your wisdom master!
I really like your how to videos, they helped learn to fakie very fast, but my skatepark only has an 8 foot quarter, I nearly nosedived on my first drop-in and I am generally afraid to do anything on that beast :/
I did the casing the peddle on the couping trying to air a 3ft quarter pipe, it throu me straight down on my face lol! Put me off doing it a bit but I can 180 flat now so screw the ramp 😂
I know terminology has changed since I rode in the 80's and 90's but that small ramp wouldn't have been called a quarter pipe but rather a trick ramp. We called a quarter pipe something that was the shape of quarter of a pipe.
Now curved ramps that are about a quarter of a pipe are quarter pipes, curved ramps that are far less than a quarter are kickers, and flat ramps are banks
When my broken elbow heals I'll give this a go. Btw anyone with a matte black frame should buy Spencer's gold Fuckin Lemonade stickers. I can confirm they look like factory decals when applied right lol
at my local, we got a 9' that i have been learning on. I get about 2' out of the coping with both tires, but I am having a hard time figuring out how to make my back tire bonk off the coping. Feels like I am pulling up 2 early, but when i try 2 delay it I get a really weird air nad still miss my back tire by like a few inches? idk. any tips from any1 would b chill
I wanna see that how to fall video!
David Williams I "NEED" to see it
I realize it is pretty randomly asking but do anybody know of a good place to watch newly released series online?
