I agree with your way of thinking, having tools your only using in an emergency they don't have to be expensive, plus if you loose one of them your not out a fortune.
This was a great watch. You really took your time to choose every single tool, each having a purpose. Loved the video! So much knowledge in this video.
Nice video, great content. I’d also recommend some of their ratchet straps, I have a car and they’ve still came in handy. I was at an event for my job and someone with a ford focus won a flat top grill, could not fit it in the back seat or the trunk. Luckily I had a few of those harbor freight ratchet straps in my trunk I was able to help them anchor it hanging outside of the trunk from the latch and back of trunk door. Only like $4 loss for me and a big help for them to make it home. Well worth it 👌🏼
A good time to buy these tools, is when you are part of ITC and they offer 30% off of everything under $20. That would go well with what you purchased here. Also I think right now you can get a free combo wrench set with any purchase if you are an ITC member, just make two separate purchases and you can pick up the metric and SAE sets. Just a thought.
Live the kit. Some of the items are known by frequent flyers to not last but like you said it's for getting you out of tight spots. Having something is better than nothing. On top that with sales you can up upgrade easily! To Breman, Quinn and even Doyle.
@15:12 -- for the price of a Snap-On ratchet and a pair of Snap-On pliers you got a pretty decent and inexpensive tool kit to take out on the trails and not worry about losing a socket or a wrench - or even lending tools to a stranger out on the trail. Hell, considering basically everything is under Twenty Bucks i'd just tell the guy borrowing it to keep it and pay it forward next time he meets someone in need on the trail.
Hahaha, like my wife and I, her raptor bronco got into an accident after overland expo, we ended up swapping a 5.0 into it haha…I have a stock 392 rubi hehe. She has a Honda acty and I have a hijet, she has a 3500 ram reg cab I have a f550 crew, I have a s15 Silvia spec r I bought new she has a 34 get she bought new when we were both stationed in japan, but I also have family there and a beef ranch, so she kept her car there when she came stateside. She has an older d250 I have a c10, she has a 65 mustang convertible, I have a rusted to hell Camaro vert haha…. But I just got another hijet, an lc79, and a champ for my ranch property and adj farm. She’s waiting for a Jinny and a champ of her own too. Lots of stuff changing. Tiny house under right port of new shop building on new property out in az. But I’ve been building kits out of icon and Quinn and Milwaukee power tools for our key vans and trucks hehe, wife is building a shipping container ofc unit into her new armory and smithing area and will put it on other side of her upcoming shop building for her growing collection of cars. She’s starting a 55 bel, will be awd and 6.4 jeep based. She will be teaching our grand daughter how to make a frame. Grand daughter just bought her own purple cart, and white boxes her icon stuff is slowly coming together. She scored a mech job alt set from Lowe’s for 51 dollars clearances just this past week too
