  • This old tool restoration is of an old wood lathe.
This old wood lathe is not a high quality piece of equipment. We have no idea when it was made or what make it is, but it has been in our family for well over 50 years. It has sat unused in a state of disrepair for many years so we thought it might be time to give it a new life. If you can give us any information on the make or actual age we would really appreciate your help. Enjoy the video and don't forget to Like and Subscribe.

Loved the new crank knob, your metallurgy skills are top notch, and you’re a decent welder! Keep the videos coming, please. I would blue the tool rest, post, banjo, and bed top to prevent rust.

Great video. I just got my hands on model 101.06242. It's a miracle that I have it. It was given to me. It came with no steady rest. Is yours after-market? If yes where did you buy it? What OD should I be looking for so a new one fits? Finding parts is impossible as you can imagine.

This was my fathers, so everything I have came with it. I think most aftermarket rests are adjustable.

I clicked to view it at 23 Seconds but someone had beat me to the first view.

I was told it was a Craftsman, sold at Sears or Montgomery Ward, in the 1940s. Thanks for watching
