I have yet to try hop dipping on the homebrew scale. I’ve had this same idea as you did in this video and now I know it’ll work. I might have to try this method on a commercial scale. I think I figured out how to do it too. Cheers 🍻
My All Rounder Amigo! Great video and excellent tip for dip hopping with the all rounder, something I’ll definitely have to check out! Also, glad I’m not the only one digging a nice pumpkin hand soap lol. Cheers 🍻
Interesting, I was discussing this video with Small Batch before I saw it and could wrap my head round what you where doing. I make a Hop Tea and add it to my Raw Ales in a similar fashion but I basically add mine as mash out due to not boiling. Nice video! Cheers!
Как всегда отличный контент!Я несколько раз использовал кипяток для заваривания хмеля и тоже хорошо получалось.Обязательно использовать температуру воды 80С ?Хмель по идее раскисает в закрытом пространстве и ничего не улетает.
What about diphopping for 15min @ 75c then adding straight into the serving keg, purge the keg and pressure transfer the fermented beer to the serving keg? Does fermenting the diphopped liquor actually add ‘value’ ?
That would be something to try for sure! I do think there is a benefit to having them in the fermenter during fermentation though. There’s probably some biotransformation that happens during fermentation. Cheers 🍻
@@GR333NZ0 you could still whirlpool or just take those whirlpool hops and add as a flameout addition instead and save a bit of time. Just depends on how hoppy you want it really. The last Cold ipa I made had a ton of hops in it and it turned out really good so I’d say try all of it 🤣
I used Imperial Yeast flagship at around 68F in the garage. I let it go for 2 days without pressure then added a spunding valve to start carbonating. Cheers 🍻
I don’t think it would hurt, but I’d have to try it out to see. I think you’re supposed to get as much of the hops in the beer to ferment so as long as it doesn’t interfere with that I think you’d be good! Cheers 🍻
You totally should, I’ve got great results every time I’ve done it! I used Imperial Yeast Flagship and fermented in the garage which was around 68F. Cheers 🍻
Just hop forward styles. If I’m drinking a light lager that’s supposed to be clean and crisp with very little hop flavor then yeah it wouldn’t be necessary. Cheers 🍻
Good stuff Brian, as usual 😉 Having the hops sitting on the yeast/trub for a week+ doesn't affect the beer or give it a bit of grassy/green off flavours?!
Nice! I actually do root for the Gaurdians as well!!! I’ve been collecting Steven Kwan cards! That dude is an on base machine! I’ve been using it as a replacement for dry hopping, but that doesn’t mean you can’t dry hop and dip hop. You totally can! Cheers 🍻
Nice! He’s a fav of mine. Sucks that Bieber is out now. Elbow issues are an epidemic across MLB right now. Good to see the Angels start strong as well. I just brewed an IPA yesterday and definitely would’ve tried dip hopping had this video come out a day earlier.
Well, kind of, I’d have to do a side by side to know for sure but the difference is with dip hopping all the hop matter makes it into the fermenter. When whirlpooling I’ve always found that most of the hop matter stays behind in the kettle. So if you can get all those hops in the fermenter from whirlpool then yes it would be the same thing.
🤣 I was glad to see the Rangers win it last year! I just love baseball!!! There’s only 1 team I’m rooting for to lose right now…but I’ll just keep that to myself 🤣 don’t want to start a fight in the comments 😂
I have a 1lb bag of hops with damaged label and I do not know what they are. But now I know how/what to brew with them 🙂 Thank you and cheers
Mystery hop beer for the win!!! Cheers 🍻
did I miss the dip hop amounts, went and played back a lot of it but might have skipped over it. thanks!
Never heard of this before! Thx for the tip
Not much info out there but it is an actual thing and it does bring out a bunch of hop flavor and aroma! Cheers 🍻

Thanks dude!!! It was on clearance 🤣 nothing fancy outside 🤣
My attempt at Dip hopping in my conical didn't end well lol, I think I'll take this approach and dump them into the fermentor.
Good looking out!
There he is!!! Cheers Braj! Hope you’re doing well!!!
Love a good hoppy session. Cheers Brian!
I’m all about the less than 5%ers!!!

Nice video! Cheers!
Nice! I feel like it adds a different layer than just a dry hop but I’d need to do a comparison to really be able to tell.
@@ElementaryBrewingCo It's a very interesting concept, I look forward to trying one day!

I may have to do this with a cold IPA I've got planned!
Totally! It adds a ton of juicy hop flavors and aromas! And if you really want to hop it up you can even also do a dry hop addition!
Cheers 🍻
@@ElementaryBrewingCo thanks, definitely will do! Should I skip the whirlpool if I dip hop and dry hop you think? Cheers!

Did u pressure ferment? Did you use Voss Kveik? Great video

Brilliant!! Any benefit to using a small Muslim bag for this method ??

I make most of my brews around 4%, keeps them very drinkable. Cheers 😀 👍 🍻
I’d say most of my beers are between the 4-5% range as well. Makes it easy to enjoy more than 1! Cheers 🍻
I’m totally going to try this! BTW I didn’t catch which yeast you used or ferm temp.

Have you brewed a mango new england hazy ipa at about 5-6 abv
I have not yet! There’s a local place that has a mango ipa that’s really good! I should give it a try! Cheers 🍻
Would you say this is good for any beer? Or just hop forward beers like IPAs?
Just hop forward styles. If I’m drinking a light lager that’s supposed to be clean and crisp with very little hop flavor then yeah it wouldn’t be necessary. Cheers 🍻
I do my hop dips at 170 degree so I dont get any AA conversion. I like to do mine in a half gallon mason jar if Im using a plastic fermenter.
That works as well!!! Cheers 🍻
Good stuff Brian, as usual 😉
Having the hops sitting on the yeast/trub for a week+ doesn't affect the beer or give it a bit of grassy/green off flavours?!
Haven’t had any issues yet but that would be a good experiment! Just let them sit in the all rounder and not transfer to a keg for like a month!
@@ElementaryBrewingCo don't waste any good beer tho 😂
Go Guardians! And does dip hopping replace dry hopping in a way? Or is it more of a whirlpool equivalent?

Let's go Bucos! 🏴☠
Why use loads of ice? Why not pour three liters of wort into the pot, that should be cool enough!
So, basically the whirlpool hops, without the whirpool.
