      Ron Barfield yes a slight difference. I think you really start to see a huge difference at 8 gpm. This machine worked really well for me this season. Adding an 8 gpm machine next year.

      Ron Barfield that’s been the suggestion that I’ve always heard. If you upgrade from a 4 gpm machine,...go up to 8. They always say that there’s not that big of a difference to 5.5 gpm.

    With your current setup and experience, do you still prefer batch mixing or do you recommend investing in a proportioning system?

    • @mattreno-washituppressurew6834
      @mattreno-washituppressurew6834  4 года назад +1

      I like the variability of the proportioner system. I would get a roof pump though. I like the idea of soaping & rinsing with 1 unit. With the 12v you simply can’t do that.

    Have you ever had any problems with your PW not pulling from water tank. I have a 4gpm belt drive with 130 buffer that I can’t get water from

    • @mattreno-washituppressurew6834
      @mattreno-washituppressurew6834  4 года назад

      No no problems at all. Is it brand new? If it’s brand new you need to prime the system til it starts pulling water. That’s why I have that garden hose connection attached. Serves that purpose and I could do small jobs without my booster tank strictly on customers water source granted they are giving me 5gpm .

    • @exteriorcleaning2923
      @exteriorcleaning2923 4 года назад +1

      Matt Reno- Wash it up pressure washing yea, it’s brand new, not even 20 hours runtime yet. How should I prime it

    • @mattreno-washituppressurew6834
      @mattreno-washituppressurew6834  4 года назад

      If you don’t have the garden hose connection like 1 do, disconnect your hose from your tank and shove a garden hose in there. Let it run til water comes out your pressure hose. That way all air escapes and your primed up. Reconnect your hose to your buffer and you will be good to go.

    • @exteriorcleaning2923
      @exteriorcleaning2923 4 года назад +1

      Matt Reno- Wash it up pressure washing I’m confused a little bit by the way you explained it. So, I should disconnect the hose from my tank to PW, then connect a hose from my house water faucet to my PW, turn the water on and wait until water comes out of pressure washing hose? Once the water comes from PW hose I then reconnect PW to tank and I should be set to go?

    • @mattreno-washituppressurew6834
      @mattreno-washituppressurew6834  4 года назад

      Yes. You have to prime your system by manually pushing water through your PW. You have to get all that air out of there. That’s really the only way to do it if you don’t have that connection like I do. I will get you the link for the connection I have.

    What kind of pump is it ?

  • @dalewilson7434
    @dalewilson7434 4 года назад +1

    I would get a 6' wide minimum or a 7' wide and 12' long with tandem Axel's, or you will overload the trailer. Remember, water is 8.3 pounds per gallon. A lot of people are running overloaded trailers and that's dangerous, especially if the DOT catches you. Just food for thought.

      @mattreno-washituppressurew6834  3 года назад +1

      Hey mike thanks for the comments. If I was to do it all over again first I would get a double axle trailer. I think 14’ is the right number. 12’ gets cramped with 2 machines, IBC tote, SH tank, soap tank, 12v or air pump. I think going 14’ is the way to go. Remember you only grow as a business never go backwards. I wish someone told me to get the 14’ when I started.

    • @mattreno-washituppressurew6834
      @mattreno-washituppressurew6834  3 года назад +1

      Not sure what your plan is. If you are only a one man show then the 10 or 12 is fine. If you want to operate 2-3 guys you need 2 machines which means bigger trailer.

    • @Nouri_TV
      @Nouri_TV 3 года назад

      @@mattreno-washituppressurew6834 Appreciate the answer. I would be a 1 man band for a while, and hopefully get some employees as I expand. My garage would allow for a 14' maximum if it doesn't exceed about 17.5' total length. I plan to get a 4gpm machine/soft wash system, and 8 gpm machine eventually.
      Currently I have a 3200 psi 2.5 gpm machine with 20" whisper away, 2 gallon sprayer, and a dn10 ball valve setup with swivel. So basically just getting started. Most likely opt for the 14' trailer, because I want a 2 machine setup! Any other advice??

    • @mattreno-washituppressurew6834
      @mattreno-washituppressurew6834  3 года назад +1

      I think the 14’ is a smart idea. Definitely at least 1 8gpm and go from there. Not sure if your downstreaming or not. I am not a fan of downstreaming I do not like pumping beach through my pressure lines. You have some options as an alternative. 12v cheapest but has its headaches (with changing pump) , air diagrams and gas pumps I’m not really well versed in them but a gas roof pump seems to be the way to go. My only advice is don’t cheap out . Do things the right way the first time, saves you money in the long run. Get the trailer , the 8gpm, some reels and your hood to go.

    • @Nouri_TV
      @Nouri_TV 3 года назад

      @@mattreno-washituppressurew6834 Currently I am downstreaming with plans to get a softwash system in the future not really too sure on which system yet either. As for the pressure washing unit itself yeah I was also thinking about upgrading it to a GX690 engine/setup currently (any suggestions on what machines?) The 8gpm system would be better overall, and the honda engines are awesome... have a lot of experience with small engines. Any advice on specific trailers? I was looking at some big tex ones...
      Current to do:
      14' Trailer build with Buffer tank, SH tank, Soap tank
      8gpm Machine (will use current 2.5gpm machine as backup until upgrade to 4gpm)
      *might make my own 12v system or look into a softwash setup* Currently downstreaming,
      Eventually:
      Generator
      Compressor
