this helped me so much, I bought my tufting gun on amazon it said it was a cut pile but it was actually loop pile and I thought it was broken lmaoo... so this video saved me thank you!!!
Been looking into this looking online at the tools I had this very question what’s the difference between the two thank you for taking the time and breaking it down and showing how each one works and how to apply the two I definitely want to try this after watching you nice work
I started because of you...I have completed 2 out of the 4 I have done ... the 1st one was trash the 2nd and 3rd were easy and I'm on my latest one. I wish I could only get as good as you. I'm still finding what material works best for me.
This sure beats latch hook and how long that takes. This is really nice. You do show such good detail.😀 Good tutorial. I do knitting loom and Loom knitting machine. This is an idea. Much success young brother.
Cool channel. inside the illustrative program, I assume you used to create the text you projected and traced by hand... in the program under styles one can select outline and set the thickness for perfect even volume.
Thanks for the shout out:) We can hear you loud and clear. I love mixing my work with the cute pile and the loops. I dont have a loop pile yet so i use punch needle in the mean time. great video
You seem to be going over twice on some places (or overlapping when you were filling the gaps) with the loop pile gun. Does that create an uneven surface on the other side? Thank you so much for showing us how you do this. It's amazing!
I see everyone using wire to thread their tufting guns, but if you don't have wire handy, you can wrap a 1/2 inch piece of tape lengthwise along the yarn and trim it, finishing with a point and then trim it off.
Hello, thank you for this video.I just bought the same gun with black button, but I don’t know how to change from cut to loop pile. Can you help me please🙏
I use double for the cut pile. The loop pile is already so impacted with just the one yarn that why I don't use 2. I also only shave the cut pile parts
@@TugsRugs Thanks for answering. I have seen many of your videos and noticed that you use the cut-pile a lot more. Do you prefer that one despite having to give more clean lines and details?
i’m trying to do cut pile & loop pile for a face rug i was going to detail the face using loop and then the hair w the loop and then fill in the face with cut pile. do you think that would look bad ?
Sweet. Thank you. I have a cut pile right now but after I saw this video I think I could do some really cool stuff with textures if I had both. Haha, by the way I want to take a class from you soon..
I do have a video that has small details in that i didn't edit or post yet. If you want to message me on Instagram @tugs_rugs maybe i can help more if you send me the design you're working on

Yes you’ll need both a loop and cut pile gun to achieve was I have going one or you can purchase a 2in1 which you still have to change out parts to make the gun a loop or cut

So what did you do to solve the problem
Beautifully done! You've inspired me to try this. Thanks for your time and efforts to make a great video. Much success to you.
Thanks for your kind words
Love it! I was wondering if I could do this with my logo. Now I know! Thank you so much!!
Yes you can create many things
Bought a loop pile as it was the standard order, I wouldve preffered the cut, thanks for the video though, ima try make it work.
Loop pile isn’t that bad

I'm glad I watch this because I didn't know it was two different guns
Yes it's actually about 5 or 6 different guns. Some do the same thing those

Yes using them both can make some unique rugs for sure
For your yarn rolls - how are they not slipping out of the gun when you're moving around? Is the gun just that nice?
I have 2 yarns in at a time and also the hole should have a part the adjust to make the hole bigger or smaller
Awesome you are a good teacher. Thanks
Thank you very much
It's like the push pin method that I do on small projects. Only difference is it's with a machine I stead if doing it manually
I subbed bro good video man 🙏🏽

You seem to be going over twice on some places (or overlapping when you were filling the gaps) with the loop pile gun. Does that create an uneven surface on the other side?
Thank you so much for showing us how you do this. It's amazing!
No it doesn’t make an uneven surface
I was thinking the same thing but you can trim it when your done
@@Dmv_Shon you cannot trim loop pile. You will cut the loops. Please don’t spread misinformation on subjects you’re not well versed in.
@@PHOEBUSDANCER you can cut loops ,the very first punch needles u had to if you wanted pile effect :) and i am very well versed :)
Very nice! Great tutorial!

I don’t use anything. I just break off the ends so they’re thin, then twist so they fit in the hole
So inspiring thank you 💯

Hope you figured out how to change it out. I never did it before so I wouldn’t know
thanks bro
No problem
Did you mirror everything
Yes you have to mirror your image if isn’t letters or numbers especially
well done!!! How do you wash this rug when dirty? A part from vacuuming it? I mean really washing it with soap and water?
I still didn’t get a chance to do a video on washing a rug. I wanted to try it in the washing machine. I never cleaned one of my rugs yet
Dope video bro! As a beginner what gun should I buy, a loop pile or cut pile? Ty great teacher btw.
Cute pile
@@TugsRugs ty sir
Where you buy the guns?
I appreciate this
You're very welcome
I love that I going to buy me a tufting gun
so the loop gun is basically to make thinner more detailed lines?
I mean no. It just make the rug not fluffy if that make since
@@TugsRugs i feel u ty
Great job
Thank you very much
Hey brother, 2 questions. 1. Is it just the finished cut pile that is shaved last or is the loop pile as well? 2. Why don't you use double yarn?
I use double for the cut pile. The loop pile is already so impacted with just the one yarn that why I don't use 2. I also only shave the cut pile parts
@@TugsRugs Thanks for answering. I have seen many of your videos and noticed that you use the cut-pile a lot more. Do you prefer that one despite having to give more clean lines and details?
I just purchased a cut pile but the yarn keep falling out of my gun. Do I need to adjust it to fix my feeding system? Did you have this problem?
If you are using 1 yarn that may be the problem. use 2 at a time
Thank you !!! I enjoy your videos a lot I’m just starting & i have a gun that does both I was wondering what the best selection was
Are you asking which do a prefer cut or loop pile?
@@TugsRugs No your video helped me ! 😁
hey man just a question which gun you use for the outline and wich u use for the filling im from amsterdam btw
Cut Pile for the while rug
Damn man thats great what type of burlap is that? I trying and it ripped and tore on me. Really admirable.
Burlap natural. If you have oyster that one isn't good. If you have the gun with the black trigger it may not work well with burlap
Man thank you for replying....I do have the gun with the black trigger. Is there a reason why that one doesn't work good? So dope all your stuff man
@@coachh9976 seems to be too powerful for burlap. My guns with the red trigger all work well with burlap and any other tufting cloth
What is a good fabric ? I keep buying fabric but have not found the one.
I use burlap. The link is in the description of this video
Exelent!
Appreciate you
So how hard you have to press with the cut pile.
Enough so the gun won't leave the cloth while tufting
How do you thread cut pile mine keeps coming off making holes
Are you feeding 2 yarns at a time?
i’m trying to do cut pile & loop pile for a face rug i was going to detail the face using loop and then the hair w the loop and then fill in the face with cut pile. do you think that would look bad ?
You don't want the small details to get over powered by the thick cut pile
Where did you get the frame from?
I built it myself
I have a video on how to build a table top frame
please bro can you fix the link of the tufting guns?

Is it better to having the guns separately or having the two in one gun?
In my opinion i like it separate
Tuft love 2 different guns. I see alot people be having issues with the 2 in 1 guns.
Could please you ad the link for the *loop pile* gun that you are using in this video? :)
Will do. I rarely use loop pile so I forgot all about putting a link to it.
Sweet. Thank you. I have a cut pile right now but after I saw this video I think I could do some really cool stuff with textures if I had both. Haha, by the way I want to take a class from you soon..
Hello Tugs! I have a question! Which one is quieter, Loop type or Cut type? I would be very grateful if you could reply!
Sorry for the late reply. Cut pile in my opinion is much faster
I hope I can get that gun
May have to try alibaba
Do you use to rolls for cut pile?
Yes I use 2 rolls of yarn at the same time
What type of fabric is this and from where?
Burlap. Links to supplies in the description of my videos
If I don’t have shears what can I use?
Hair clippers or regular sissors

Thanks for stopping by. I do not shave the loop. It's already flat and neat and don't need to be shave.

So in what is going on here is a person needs both guns to achieve that proper look that you have here. One gun just won't do. 🤔
