I hate that everyone says glossier is for “perfect skin” only, as if it implies that not all skin is perfect. I have loads of spots on my face and by not constantly trying to cover them up i find it quite empowering. If you like the full coverage look, thats great! If you like the no make up look that also great! You wouldn’t say that a full coverage make up look is only for someone with lots of blemishes, so the minimal coverage look should also be good for everyone. Just use whatever make up products make you happy :) because at the end of the day, make up gives you the power to look the way you want, not so you can look the way that you are “supposed” to look

THIS! I have scarring and hyperpigmentation but I love wearing very light coverage make up & I love glossier! I have far from perfect skin but I hate heavy skin makeup. Also my mum who is in her 50’s loves the glossier skin tint & concealer because it works well on older skin & doesn’t feel like makeup as she hates the feeling of makeup ❤

Sorry, but I think you are wrong. I love how the make-up looks on your face. You have a wonderful natural beauty look and the Glossier helped tone down your blemishes and redness perfectly without making you look like you are wearing a pound of foundation. It highlighted how beautiful you really are...those eyes! I really wish this brand would expand their choice in models to include people with blemishes and older models.

I have acne prone skin, heavy pigmentation and scars, really appreciated this video! I have the opposite preference though for the products it seems. I love the skin tint (and concealer). I feel like it’s enough coverage for me to feel comfortable. Although I wear a non-glossier powder over it. I love the colours and concept of cloud paint, but it doesn’t work for my skin. It slides off very quickly whenever I wear it unfortunately :(. I wish Glossier would use some models with acne and redness etc too.

Also! I also have oily, acne prone skin and I find that for me the skin tint works best when I put it on with a foundation brush rather than my fingers because it gives me way more coverage. Not full coverage at all, but enough that I feel comfortable leaving the house lmao. I aLso apply the concealer with my fingers but pat it in with a sponge which also helps with coverage. I love love love the natural look recently, even when my acne and scars shine through I find that looks way better on me than the full on full coverage Instagram makeup, which not only always looked odd and Cakey on me but also felt incredibly uncomfortable especially if I wore it for a few hours. But I do completely agree that they should also show people with acne, discoloration, hyperpigmentation, redness etc etc in their advertisements, lots of people with not “perfect” skin use their products and love it so... why can’t they do that?

I too battle acne. Thankfully I'm actually clear at the moment finally. But I highly suggest the Dr.Jart Cicapair color correct cream. Best applied with fingers with a patting motion. It treats but also color corrects the redness. From getting older and having acne basically my entire life I started really not liking foundation on my skin. It made my acne , scars, texture look worse and more obvious. So I usually just apply that Dr.jart and then spot conceal any areas and breakouts with the nars soft matte concealer.
Its been a journey tho because even so so many makeup items break me out SO bad. I finally in my mid 30s found the skincare routine that actually fully clears my skin after Drs completely failed and trying literally everything. But I have an issue that I'm obcessced with makeup and skincare and love trying new things. Then certain items break me out SO bad then I gotta revert to only my tried and tru routine to clear my skin back up. The most recent hell was the damn Becca under eye corrector. I thought be perfect to color correct my acne too. So wrong. Broke me out in extreme cystic acne. Taken me three weeks to finally clear my skin up fully from two days of trying that stupid Becca all over my face.
But anyway I actually do like alot of glossier products now. Only because I don't like a full coverage base.
BUT if you haven't tried the Stellar Haze powder omg you need to. Anyone with acne scars or large pores that stuff is some kinda magic. I've got backups of my backups I can't live without it. It's not a setting powder, it's a finishing powder but I use it under my setting powder or alone. I buff it over a light base ( can add coverage ontop of if with liquids and actually creates fuller coverage of whatever concealer you use over it) but this powder blurs my massive pores and scars into doll skin. I screamed in the mirror in joy the first time I used it. But I find it works best over only a light base, not full coverage .
