Majesty of the Seas | Day 3 Vlog | Perfect Day at CocoCay, Thrill Water Park Updates, & Slide Fun!

- What another perfect day!…As in Perfect Day at Cococay! This is our third day onboard Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas and we are back for our second crack at Perfect Day at Cococay! We went to Perfect Day at CocoCay upon its reopening after completing a massive renovation in May 2019! In that video, we completely toured all the new areas of the island in detail, and we will link that video below! For today, we focused on having fun at Thrill Waterpark and giving important updates regarding the price, crowd level, wait times, sign improvements, and weight/height restrictions! Despite there being two ships in port and experiencing much longer wait times than our previous visit, we still had a blast and were able to ride all the slides (and some more than once)! We were happy to see that some of the smaller slides were sped up a little bit and that there was much more directional signage available to refer to! We also paid a quick visit to the Harbor Lagoon and had a delicious lunch at the Snack Shack! Despite a slight hiccup with dress code regulations on the slides, we truly had a perfect day! And…SUPER EXCITING: we met two of the nicest young men who are viewers of the channel! All around a wonderful day! Once back onboard Majesty we ate dinner in our favorite area of the ship, Sorrento's/Compass Deli/Windjammers! What a great vid!! We’re booked for next year and I CANT WAIT. I’m nervous about the ship. I’ve seen some terrible reviews on it but I’m trying to stay positive. It’s GREAT to know that the snack shack food or free with water park admission!!!!! Game changer!

Subscribed and liked! Thanks for all the info! We're going on the same ship and coco cay April 11th 2020. It shows that both ships will be there also on the date that we will be there. We're getting kind of bummed on all the lines though. :-(

Yes, lines are obviously never fun. However, we were very happy to see that even with the increased lines, we were able to do every slide, and even repeat several of them! You can still definitely have an amazing time there!

Somebody must have got stuck via their shirt and tried to sue or made a scene about it. A few people are always on hand to try and spoil the fun.

That’s a possibility. There’s a lot of unknown, because there was no consistency between the different lifeguards. Some required it, some suggested it, and some said nothing at all. It was odd, but hopefully they provide some clarity and uniformity soon! :)

That shirt was bought at Bealls, which we believe is only or mostly in Florida. It’s Reel Legends brand, which is exclusive to Bealls. Hopefully you can find it or a similar one online if you’re not in Florida or near a Bealls! :)

On your sea pass card does it say your age if you are 21+? Or if you have a drink package do you need to bring your ID on the island or is your sea pass card enough? And to buy merch on the island can you charge to the room or bring cash?
You can definitely buy merchandise on the island with your Sea Pass card! And the Sea Pass card is definitely used to identify your drink package but I am not certain if you still need your ID. I would guess not since that info can be retrieved on your Sea Pass card but I would just ask a crew member before exiting the ship. 😊
Interesting that men wearing shirts would get stuck on easier slides, never heard of that one. I was planning to buy swim shirt for my visit there in November. I've seen on Norwegian Bliss vlogs that women who wear one-piece suits get stuck on waterslide, but not women in bikinis.
When l go, the Mariner & Rhapsody will be there. As to the rest of the island, how crowded did it feel?

In our personal experience, if there is an appropriate amount of water flowing through the slide (which Royal increased since our last visit), sliding position has more to do with getting stuck than clothing (sitting straight up vs laying flat). I’ve always worn a shirt, and at many different parks/ships slides, and I’ve never had an issue until now. But we are obviously not experts, haha! So, we have to follow what Royal dictates, I suppose!
As for the crowds, it was definitely more than in May when we were the only ones there on Navigator. However, we were still able to eat, ride all of the slides we wanted (some multiple times), and swim in the lagoon for a while. Unfortunately, we really didn’t venture out to the rest of the island, so we can’t speak for the crowds out there.

How do you secure your belongings, like your camera, while you are doing the slides?

Personally, we just left them in our bag on our chair inside the water park, as we weren’t concerned with theft on a private island and in a separately-ticketed area. However, there are lockers available for rent inside the water park and on other parts of the island.

So is cococay not included in the 7 night bahamas & perfect day cruise package?

CoCoCay is included if your cruise is set to stop there! However, certain features on the island, like the water park, zip lining, and balloon ride are an extra cost. The beaches, snorkeling, large freshwater pool, kids splash park, certain food areas, and more are included with the cost of your cruise!

Maybe the shirt on or off has something to do with the fit? His looks like loose-fitting cotton T-shirt. Hers looks like a spandex-nylon rash guard type, tight-fit, which I assume, would not impede the speed as much. Love your vlogs. You have a new hooked subscriber. I'll be at Coco Cay in October. In regard to the shirts, mine was actually the athletic, quick-dry material as well. According to the lifeguard, if a woman is wearing a swimsuit under their swim shirt, they are supposed to take their shirt off just like the men. Apparently, the material doesn’t matter, they don’t won’t them at all. But it was implied (not directly stated) that they wouldn’t ask women if they could remove their shirts, but they knew the men could, so they would enforce it with them. We’re planning on following up with Royal about this just to get some clarity, and we’ll be sure to pass along anything we find out!

We obviously agree, and we were very surprised to hear something like that from Royal Caribbean, who is usually at the top of their game! It was very unusual, but we hope that was just a fluke incident, and it won’t be like that when we return. :)

Unfortunately, we’ve never been on Empress, so we cannot make a direct comparison. Majesty definitely wasn’t our favorite ship personally, but we still had a great time, and we’ve heard from MANY people who absolutely love it!
