As someone relatively new to this realm who's still devouring every tutorial I can get my hands on, I must say no one else that I've come across has yet to say what you did about heavy/light brush-loads and its relation to a more pointy tip. Thank you, thank you for this beautiful tutorial, and thanks for what you do! I can't wait to get up and try 1st thing tomorrow.

I love how you draw out the shapes/details before painting. Your tips on how to handle watercolors are very useful but by helping us understand the 'shapes of things' and what to consider for composition .... I can use many different mediums to draw. I was just playing with some brush markers on my desk as your video played and I did one of your owls with colored pencils a few years ago. I honestly think you offer a very distinct type of tutorial that I haven't seen from anyone else. Thanks for your generosity.
The last flower was a bit harder to do then the others for me.

So glad you enjoyed the tutorial! Yes, there is an option of adding more water, but a lot of times I felt like the consistency of paint can be abit hard to control since its watery, and sometimes the pastel colour is also not as vibrant for me compared to adding white to a hue. The white adds more body or thickness to the paint while keeping the colour pastel 😊

Hello 👋 I'm a beginner and this tutorial was very hard because of watercolors. My flowers don't have a nice gradient, more like a full one color 😢 without smooth passthrough effect. Do you have an advice for me, please? I tried for an hour or more making blue flowers
You have to use a light consistency which means more water so the blue is light for the petals. Then while they're still wet, add a thick consistency blue at the ends of the petals. If the petals are still damp the dark blue should travel across to the light wet area. You have to find the right dampness so the dark blue doesn't travel too fast. Hope this helps 😊
