@GarageNoise I noticed the same issues you did with my gun.
I had gotten this gun free and at work we have PPS 2.0 cups, so it was a no brainer for me to try and do my over all with this system.
I had a couple of user errors at first, for example I got a 2k "hi build" primer that the TDS calls out for a 1.3.... No idea why but I used that and it does work.
First issue was it warmed up in Florida and I had regular (medium speed) activator and my reducer was also medium. I def need slow or x slow with the temp change.
I found the primer woukd literally kick in the gun when I triggered off!! it was crazy but now I will be at least reducing the 4:1 to 4:1:1 for the primer with slow reducer.
Now, that being said, I noticed that same problem with the fan... Even on basecoat (which is probably the bestthing it sprays IMHO), the fan would be awesome, like Iwata LPH400 awesome, and then it would get small (just like your video) for no reason. Im wondering if thats the tip going bad (Ive used the 1.3 about 4-6 times).
I clean the gun very well and the tips too so I dunno.
Lastly, I found it very difficult to spray clear. I had to hold the gun really close to the panel even with full fluid and fan. I might try your 2.5 turns next time.
I do spray clear with 1.2, as the clear I have is quite "thin" and likes to run.
Lastly, I think my pressure is too high as I've been spraying about 24-29 PSI trigger pulled. 3M sheet actually lists different values for each tip (cant recall at the top of my head).
What pressures would you recomend for primer, b/c (1:1), and value clear (4:1 w/1.2)?
    Any other suggestions?
    thanks

Got mine for 189 ebay. Those days are gone. See them for 300 plus now. Got some new tips and going to get back into using this for all the primer/touch up/small panel work. I can use cheap harbor freight pps cups. The cleanup is just too easy to ignore and saves me time. It does a nice job on small repairs. At 13 cfm maybe not for the small compressor guys. I would not have got the system at 300$$$. The price I paid made it affordable. If I someday paint a car that I don't care much about, I may see if a full paint job is practical with the 1.3 for base. 1.2 for clear. I am quite curious about the results of such sn attempt. Not finding much for paint videos on the subject.
3m Performance is a superior gun I will not buy because of the high cost of 3 m pps 2.0 cups. And no alternate manufacturers of matching cups. 1.0 system has many options. Last comment is I feel the amount of control is very good for a full size paint gun. At 20 psi you can really dial this down to do precise paint repairs.
Last of my rambling on the Accuspray until I make a video working with it. Will be this month priming a 65 Corvair.

It's pretty good versatile gun, I don't use it enough. purchased the performance gun shortly after buying this. I did however get some good results painting with it. Appreciate the comment and support!

Ended up ordering the Accuspray from Ebay. They sent the 2.0 updated version instead of the original I ordered. Bonus, I guess.
My intent was for primers, which I'm doing, but also found another good use....
Small smart repairs, blow-in repairs, where the entire panel is not painted. Used about 12 psi, small round pattern, cranked the fluid down, used it like an airbrush(kinda). 1.3 tip.
I would never paint a full car with it, but I appreciate the super-easy cleaning, light weight.
It will get used often for specific tasks. Full paint I stick with my Iwattas and an ANI Gun I like.

Used the 3M 2.0 for the first time today to spray some epxy primer. Worked okay due to my lack of ecperience. I did have a problem getting the gun to us all the pint in the cup. It didn't seem to want to "crush" the liner as I had seen in all the videos. I was at 20-23 psi,. Sprayed well enough, but, just couldn't figure ahy I could not use up all the paint in the liner.

The simplicity is great. Cleaning, ect. I see the original w 1.0 version cups(which is what I have already) can be found less than 200 dollars. I'm wondering if at that price it would make a good primer, sealer, polyester primer gun? I keep buying and tossing cheap primer guns anyway. Hate cleaning primers😬

I have that gun as well, it works great for primer. it's a totally different gun than the 3m performance tho.

When you was pouring the clear, the tip or the funnel or extension on the metal can, did you add that? I've seen it now in a few videos. I keep making messes, cause the clear i can get around here doesn't have that....

You can use this consistently, the tips will eventually need to be replaced but their cheep and last months if properly kept clean.

I've used over 100 liners in mine over the past 3~4 years through mine and I actually reuse most of my cups several times. I really like it even though the needle has worn a groove in it😅. I just broke the housing where it holds the tip on 😢. I'm looking for another but not sure I want to pay 300. Definitely got my $200 worth from it. Mine was the 1st gen.

Turn up pressure more even if it is over the 3-m red line. The worst that could happen is the gun blows up ))

@@carlofiguracion849 If you like this style of spray gun with the intchangeable tips. I would recommend the updated version of this gun. Its called 3m performance gun . Its a bit more expensive like 350.00 for the kit of tips and cups. If your a beginner I would say start with the astro pneumatic evot13. A $100 gun that performs great! Here is a video I did that will tell you more about it.
