Yeah, tbh I would settle with them just adding in more shotguns and lmgs because the selection of them for console is pretty bare.
@@columlee6714 this game also needs more snipers and dmrs other than the mosin and the m24. Don’t get me wrong, the m110, mk14 ebr, and SVD are good, and no one that I’ve seen on pvp uses the M1 Garand or CQ Barrett. The L96, G28, scar 20, would be a refreshing change just to name a few

ISMC PVP servers are totally dead on PC if that makes you feel better, all you get is PvE aka PvBrainDead

Just need more variation period. ISMC would change the way we play coop as well. Primary reason we don't have it is because Sony doesn't allow external assets in mod programs. Therefore it would be unfair to have mod support on this game when Sony wouldn't allow PS users to actually experience them.
Well, that's one concrete wall that certainly learned it's lesson.

Wish they put in some more machine guns...the later upgraded M60s, the PKP, the HK21, MG4/5 etc. MGs are super useful in coop (unlike most sniper/DMRs/SMGs) and since this mod is mostly coop I don't know why they already haven't.
Some good news for you is that there is an M60 coming to the game really soon! I'm super happy about it

NWI should partner with ISMC and make it one company. Imagine the work they could do with the game with this. The servers and player count of vanilla Insurgency Sandstorm matched with way more content that ISMC has would be insane. That would be sick if you just played vanilla Insurgency Sandstorm and you could play with the UMP-45 and the Glock 17.

@@mrmadmax4523 while I get what you're saying.. it just won't happen. The next gen version they are supposed to be working on this year would be the only sliver of hope, and considering the flop that was our last DLC, I just don't see it ever coming to fruition for this one. 💔
Which is hella frustrating because the new consoles could easily allocate enough ram to let us inject mods for sandstorm, and ESPECIALLY because the PC version uses a mod tool that literally supports PS/Xbox lmao

something like this would be cool in the base game where you could select a certain platform and just choose whatever variant you want. like "yo could i get an ak?" "sure!..... what kind?"

While the variety is nice, my issue is that the majority of the weapons are just bland 5.56 ar style rifles or 9mm glocks. Stuff like the fn 57, sa 58, and UMP 45 could be cool unique additions and the c7 and grach(i know i just said theres two many 5.56 and 9mm but these are a bit more unique imo) would be cool additions in base game.
The Sagia and VR 80 would be very cool and id imagine balance wouldn’t be too bad with high prices and recoil especially when an SVD or SASS could do the same damage but at an even greater range

ISMC needs to add way more 1911 variants. 1911s never get enough love because everyone uses Glocks or sigs these days.

Has the dev team said anything recently about this mod coming to console? There's so little variety that 100 maps cant fix
Is the barrel on the glocks rigged to the barrel bone? I take it they're using the 1911 animation. At least it looks like the barrel isn't tilting upwards when the slide is locked back.
Was also completely taken off guard by the USP using the Glock/Sig Sauer animation, would've expected it to use the 1911 animation with it having such a large and easy to use slide release lever :D

Did they remove the block 3 m4 or what? I just got the game and immediately downloaded the mod after I saw a weapons showcase from 9mo ago in it was there. This mod was the reason I bought the game and I was a little bummed out when I didn’t see the Block 3.

They have p90 and vector in ismc bruh but they dont have desert eagle and mr 73 in ISMC

In fact the mod description says it gives AR-15 based guns for the Security side and AK based weapons for the Insurgents

Every gun in ISMC for the most part is with them having little to no recoil and they throw balance out the door its great for PVE not PVP in its current state

Open your server browser, then find a server that says ISMC MOD > Join the server - the download will start automatically. OR go to insurgencysandstorm.mod.io/ismcmod1 and subscribe to it. The Mod will download the next time you enter the game.

Something about the reload animations in this game irritates me. They aren't bad animations, but they just seem a little too lackadaisical for the atmosphere the game otherwise nails

Fairly bad without custom animations and sounds tailored for each gun. Also, many of these are just slight variations of the same platform.
