Really enjoy watching your videos and how you debate with yourself on what to do next. I do answer your questions and sometimes you hear me and sometimes you don't. 🤣🤣 I really liked the cardinal stamp with postage info and then you placed it in a window envelope you have in the journal. The belly band idea was good too. Thank you Anne and blessings. 🤗☃️
Lynda, I really wish I could get your advice in real time! Thanks as always for watching and for your always-friendly support, I really appreciate you!
Love how you stay true to the concept of real junk journaling with things that would otherwise be thrown away. Cute ideas. Thanks anne for always inspiring me to continue😊❤
Suzy, thanks so much for this observation. I do think there's something special that comes through in handmade items when each one is truly original and not mass-produced. And the transformation of trash-to-treasure is wonderful. That's my taste, anyway. Thank you so much.
I also agree with suzy and love how you stay true to the concept of real junk journaling with “ junk” . A lot of videos are of pages made from Etsy shop sheets and at this time I don’t have printer availability so like to see magazine and old book pages used in journaling. Thanks
Thanks so much, Norma! As I mentioned to Suzy, it's the transformation of useless items into something beautiful and useful that is part of the junk journal magic for me. And it becomes a huge metaphor - just like us as we age, the passage of time results in inevitable changes in appearance, but we still have so much to give! I really appreciate your watching, thank you!
My goal for 2025 is to use what I have. I love supporting the digital artists, but I Must use what I have. Last year I did a “no buy January and February”. Except for absolute necessities. It felt so good. Then I fell off the wagon the rest of the year. I’m hoping to do better in ‘25 Love all your ideas, as always. Hugs to you my friend 💙💙
It was my absolute pleasure to keep you company whilst you did this work in your mini journal. So many fun ideas for me to play with when weather is too inclement to do anything else but play with paper. I particularly like the labels from index pages - I have a few of those laying around and now they have a purpose. Thanks for sharing all your lovely ideas. big hugs.
You're so kind, thank you! To be fair, I'd already made the cover, so it was just a matter of filling it up while my friends and I were yakkity-yakking! Thanks so much, Sue, for watching!
Anne, I love your true “junk” journaling. Many videos seem like advertisements for Etsy or Tim Holz products. Although they are very beautiful, they are expensive for me. I also find it takes away from using your own imagination. I enjoy watching your videos and have used a lot of your ideas. Brings me joy. Thank you.
Eloise, YOU bring me joy with this kind comment! Thank you so very much! Yes, I'm a big believer in using what we have and what naturally seems to flow into our lives (like food labels!) and if I go out to shop, it's at thrift stores or estate sales - good bargains and no adverse environmental impact. Thank you so much for your insight, I truly appreciate it.
Thanks for watching, Heather! I just LOVE using clothing tags. Truthfully, I don't buy a ton of clothes these days (yay, retirement!) but if I do get something new, there's almost always a useful tag to go into the supply stash! You'll have fun with yours, I know!
Anne, thank yiu so much for these ideas! If coukd get to my table I would get right to work playing with your ideas. Alas, my entire craft roombis taken over by holiday related activities, primarily gift wrapping. But come January I hope to be able to start having fun in there afain. I remember when the Corner Chomper came out. It was primarily aimed at those who use heavier craft materials, such as lightweight chipboard and flexible plastics (such as the flexible cutting boards). Also, for the ability to cut cirners on several layers of paper at once. It's a wonderful tool to have in our crafting arsenal for those times when our ordinary corner punches just aren't quite strong enough for the job at hand. Anyway, ilfor those reasons I think tye "Corner Chomper" is quite aptly named.
Thanks so much! I really didn't know the original intention for the tool, so I guess "chomping" is what it does - the fussy grammarian in me always does a little eye-rolling at silly product names, but as I mentioned, I also know it's none of my business what people name their products! LOL - anyway thank you so much for the nice comment and happy holiday crafting/wrapping to you!
Such a cute yet elegant little journal. Super sweet. I am going to look back to see if you made one of these little beauties in a video. The ephemera you made is perfect. The small paper pad ? 👌 Thank you for a lovely video! M❗️CH❗️GAN hugs coming your way. ❤
Thanks, my friend! I didn't actually make the wee journal in a video - I was just messing around on my craft desk the afternoon before and made it! I have a bunch more of those covers waiting to transform, though, so I could do one. The little size is pretty dear, I agree. See you soon!!!!!
I miss you julie. Are you buried in snow. Ive been battling pneumonia since I came home on plane from Kentucky. Took my last antibiotic today. I'm on the mend but boy it kicked my behind😊❤❤
Love the little journal idea. As a beginner I am always learning stuff. In the journal you had circles put together and used as pockets of tuck spots. Do you have a video on how to do that? Many thanks. ❤
Hi, Sharon! Thanks so much, I appreciate your watching. I haven't done a video on the circle tuck spot, but here's one that is kinda-sorta related, just because it layers up circles. Hope this helps, and thank you - and welcome!
Anne to the rescue!! I made a little journal for two of the girls from church. They're mostly for writing, but they need SOME tuck-ins, right? Since I can't seem to focus on anything else this morning, I'll play along with you. Hugs, Anne, MK 🤗❤🤗
I'm a fairly new subscriber Anne. Always love your creations and love having you keep me company, while I work on my journals as well. This is an adorable little one, and you have inspired me to give it a try! Has anyone ever told you that sometimes you sound like Martha Stewart? 😅Sending much aloha❤✨️🌺🙋♀️
Sherelyn, what a lovely and kind comment, thank you so much! No, I've never heard the Martha Stewart comparison - I think she's fantastic, though! I appreciate your subscribing and watching, thank you!! Much more fun to come!
Hi Ann. I enjoyed your video. Would you mind showing how you made the little pocket at 10:28 or refer me to which video that Pam made it. You said you got the idea from Pam just the other day. Thanks so much.
@@saoneill908 Oh my, I'm so glad you mentioned the kooky little birds! Here's some insider information - they are coming back with a holiday twist! Watch for the video that will drop early Saturday. I recorded it a few days ago and it was really fun. That you so much!
Hi Ann! What a nice little journal! I probably have more teeny tiny tags than large tags made, because I really love making them! Something about mini things that I love! But you have given me a great idea that I can probably start & finish before Christmas! I recently found a calendar that I must have bought for one of my sons in 2017, for 2018, but never sent! He always loved watching the painter Bob Ross on TV with his friends, so on the back it has little 3x3” images of all the larger paintings in the calendar! How fun is that going to be as the basis for a little mini journal?! I also save fun goodies to recycle, (which my 3 children roll their eyes at, presumably because it looks like hoarding) but I don’t care & give them cards, etc anyway!! I’m going to get started right now! Thanks for a great video! It’s cold & gray here in Kansas, so it’s perfect for staying in & crafting! Take good care! Erica❤
Erica, what a great idea you have for using those small images - all so beautiful, just on a smaller scale! Super idea - and since we'll soon be retiring our 2024 calendars, what a terrific way to use them! Thank you!

Oh Anne, you have a new subbie; loved your upcycled ephemera for your mini journal tuck ins. Thank you! 🎉🤩🥰💜🤩

I agree. Tried to do that this year, but failed. Going to be stronger in 2025👍
You've got this, Sandi! And I'm glad to help. I'll be doing a video soon where I talk about some of the things you mention. Hugs back to you!

Your little journal is so cute! Love how you explain every detail... Thank your for sharing and for encouraging us to use what we have.🩷🩷🩷🩷🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thank you so much, my dear friend Marcia!
I had to chuckle when you said “ I made this journal yesterday “ While chatting !! lol. I’m so jealous !! Takes me a while to
Get one done !! 😂

Anne, such a cute little journal. Fun to use "junk" from around the house.❤
Thank you, Nadyne - it's a fun way to use the everyday things we often discard!

Thank you, Lisa! It does open up some possibilities, doesn't it? Have fun going through your stash and fussy-cutting the images! ✂️
