LOL, I just ordered a sign that says "Research and Development Department Storage Area" for above the shelves in my garage! 🤭🤭😂🤣🤣 There are two things I haven't unpacked yet, and I'm "this close" to buying new ones... my garment steamer and my label maker, but making these labels will be more fun! I think I'll pour another ☕ and make some!! Thanks, Anne! Hugs, MK 🤗❤🤗
oh I love these, it's nice to have a semi "mindless" project after making Christmas cards. I have lots of those label type stamps and I love your R+D day !!! thanks so much- you have such a nice happy voice.
that was a fun video! I 'haven't made DIY labels like that in a long time! Another way I've done it, besides painting the book pages before stamping them, is to do a collage on the pages with very small scraps! That is really fun, too - and you can get some very interesting colors/patterns! The only issues I've ever had with that, is that some paper -- like the slick/glossy kind, might lift up around the edges - same with some of the heavier cardstock, too. To remedy that, I've gone over the finished collage with Mod-Podge, to really seal those small bits down well! Then you can go on with stamping your label shapes! It might be fun to combine both of those -- like make a collage, then add the watercolor to it, so that you can still see some of the collage pattern through the translucent paint! YES! I think I'm going to do that! See? You just inspired me!! YAY!
What a great and fun idea - thanks so much for sharing that! I really appreciate the details, and I appreciate your watching! Here's to more creative adventures!
Love this Anne. Looks very relaxing. I think besides not buying any more stock next year. Another goal is going to set up an R&D day. 🤣. I really like just putting one day a side to create a stash of items. Yup going to do it. Thank you as always. Appreciate you. 🤗☃️
You come up with the easiest of things to do - so effective and something I would not have previously thought to do. Thank you for your R & D idea - I just know that I am going to take that up for sure.
I spent today researching those blank label stamps (Temu have some very cheaply) and painting book pages in preparation for when my stamps arrive. Was a lovely day, thank you.
Hello Anne. I love this idea! I don't have the shape variety of stamps that you do, but like you said, a Sharpie would work. I think a mosaic of these beautiful labels on the front of a journal card or page would be quite lovely, and perhaps a stamped or hand written word in each label would be nice also. Thank you for the great idea!
Hi Anne! Love this idea! I don´t have label stamps, but I have a set of plastic geometrical shapes and I think it works as markers. Beautiful color palette! It´s a very relaxing process! TFS!🩷🩷🩷🩷🌹🌹🌹🌹
Anne!!! I love these. I have book pagesthat I watercolored years ago, and didn't do anything with them,,, now, I know!! ❤heading to watch the other label video 😊😊
Your tags look great. I did some myself, but I didn't do the paint like you did. I'll have to try this. It's amazing how they look once you cut them out.
Thank you so much! And I so, so love your screen name - I've been a Neutral Nancy for so long, I'm really trying to jump in and enjoy more color - your name inspires me!
Watercolor, label stamps, color coordination, mass making, master boarding, book page usage. A win from so many aspects. 💜🐞
Check, check, and check! So glad this was a winner for you, Ila, I appreciate you! Thank you!

You're making such progress - unpacking AND crafting! Way to multi-task, dear MK! Thank you as always - keep up the good R&D efforts, too!

You're so kind, Kathy, thank you! Mindless is definitely the category for this one - but with rather spectacular results! Thank you so much!

Thanks so much! And you’re absolutely right, stamped words look fantastic, especially on those sections without background text!
