There is no such a thing called " luck " in it at all. It´s a mix of huge talents came along together, not even by an accident. Kylie was already a fame pro at that time with same pro agents who were searching for a follow-up for her, after she had her first No.1. She hasn't been LUCKY, she worked hard for it. There is also no LUCK to find Stock Aitken Waterman - they worked their asses off to reach their status of the most prolific producers of the late 80´s. That's how they matched. Not by luck. Her latest record Disco has great material. Kylie is not known for her spectacular "voice" but she has a quality about her that people love. Its almost as if people believed that the character she played on Neighbours was Kylie herself. The "girl next door." That was what endeared her to a lot of people. The second was the pairing of Stock Aitken, and Waterman that made excellent records that sold millions and delivered Kylie to a mass audience.
They basically humiliated Kylie and are proud of it, probably cos she already had a huge hit on her own in Australia.I have heard them all tell this story over and over again now for the last thirty years or so.
