    Going to meet my partner in April in Nepal. I am Kiwi, he is Kashmiri and we met in Dubai. Super excited about our first visit there. Really loved learning your tips for Nepal and I've learnt a lot and totally taking your tips on board. Plan on visiting Kathmandu and Chitwan National Park plus I'd really like to see the Himalayas. I've been reading the comments for other ideas. Thanks for your video - absolutely awesome advice.

    Hi Amreen, awesome video and tips :)
    I'm traveling to Nepal in 10 days from Dubai as well and I need your advice for two things; as I only book my flight tickets only and I'm not sure yet which towns I'm going to visit and program etc.. Shall I precisely book everything before landing there or just the hotel in Kathmandu and then see tours and packages over there as I had done in Thailand it was so easy to plan there...
    My second question in term of cash, shall I go with dollars only or AED can also be converted into Nepalese Rupees? Many thanks and keep it up Amreen!

    • @JustGoWithAmreen
      @JustGoWithAmreen  2 года назад

      Don’t book anything and everything prior to the trip. There is a lot you’ll want to do once you get there and realize what’s there to do? About where to go and what places to visit? It really depends on how many days you’re going for. I wouldn’t recommend spending more than 2 days in Kathmandu. Then head out. Pokhara is also quite pricey. But it’s where most activities take place. Trekking, adventure activities etc.
      but if you don’t care about the activities, you’ll get the mountains in nagarkot and DHULIKHEL as well. As for the cash, take dollars and exchange it there all at once. Don’t take aed. It may not get exchanged easily.

Depending on what you’re planning to do you might run out of 30k in 3-4 days. If you’re planning go out, enjoy nightlife, drink etc. yea you’ll run out of 30k pretty soon. You need double of that to be comfortable for a week.

      Hey Manu, I’m glad you found my vlog helpful. When are you going? Well for cash I advice to either carry all the cash you’ll need or use card but you have to inform your bank prior to flying. My husbands bank is emirates nbd and his credit card worked. Debit didn’t. Although his debit card worked to withdraw cash from atms. I’m with Rakbank and I only have a debit card. Mine didn’t work at all. Not even for withdrawals. Plus withdrawals take transaction fee. Over all we ended paying NPR 4500-5000 in only traction fee. Collectively that seems like a lot. It’s a equivalent to 1 night’s outing.
