    • @r-mur

      @Gundumb_guy Look, I'll be honest... I was a little surprised to see the affection at the beginning of the film (mind you, I've grown up in, and still live in a rather conservative town). But I think I was more surprised because it's not something we see often in mainstream media. For the film, it was perfect, and it made sense (without spoiling it) because it made the stakes so much more poignant and carried so much more weight. By the end of the film it all feels so much more deserved and so much deeper. I also just absolutely loved the whole film and it had the same sort of vibe as all of my childhood films (like Lilo and Stitch). It was such a joy to watch and a bit of a tear-jerker in parts too. We need more films like this and I only wish this one got more attention and hype, because... wow! What a masterpiece! And such a stunning art style!

    There's a lot more to Nimona that I wish you guys could see/react to. There were a few scenes that blew my mind in the detail they added. One scene was when one of the characters flipped a chess piece with his finger and how perfect the physics looked. The other is a bit blurry at the moment, but I think it's the scene where the post-it notes get ripped away from the wall or something similar. The cartoon is cool, except for the emphasis on homosexuality. History would not have suffered at all without this "agenda".

    • @DarthRayj
      @DarthRayj 10 месяцев назад

      If by "emphasis" you mean, "the main character happens to be in a relationship and they kiss once" then I guess we have different meanings of the word. I've seen endless numbers of children's movies that are much more explicit and aggressive about pushing heterosexuality; it's often a major plot point even in Disney movies. @@artulyanoff
