Just got mine today and pumped 10 sots. every shot the weight was spot on and very clean! love the magnetic spout, removed and checked, zero retention! Coming from a Breville Grinder this is a game changer! Money well spent!
great video thanks. Question for this grinder, if the hopper is full, or has beans in it - would i need to empty it before making and adjustments to the grinder (finer or coarser)? - or can i make adjustments with beans in the hopper/shoot without worrying about any damage?
I've had this perfect grinder for three months and the biggest issues I've encountered is that IT DOESN'T KEEP THE GRIND SETTING 😐 And believe it's very frustrating. Thinking of replacing the grinder soon.
This is a lovely grinder, but it does have a few niggly issues (IMHO). I think Fiorenzato should have put more effort into the portafilter holder! It's pretty basic sledgehammer stuff and doesn't work with smaller portafilters and looking at the other comment, presumably naked PFs? Given that one of the USPs for this grinder is jumping from one brew method to another, why isn't the dial better legended - okay, that's not even a word, but a load of dots seem a bit lame to me. The hopper itself seems to rock about a bit, again, it is not a deal breaker and makes no difference to performance, but it doesn't fill the consumer with confidence that Fiorenzato have put their skills into every last part of the grinder. I'm also not sure what the need is for the beautifully designed switch, which has a lovely tactile feel to it, why doesn't the grinder just time out and go to sleep so we can leave it turned on? Positives. It grinds beautifully and fluffy and is super accurate. It has absolutely speeded up my workflow; no pre-weighing beans and less puck prep down the flow. It's a good-looking beast and a beast it is - bigger than many grinders. The hopper seal is plenty adequate to be able to keep a few days worth of beans in the hopper without worrying about them going stale. A smaller better hopper (that doesn't wobble about) would be welcome. I don't find it noisy, I said I DON'T FIND IT NOISY, in fact, I find it actually has a pleasant tone of grinding compared to some grinders and it gets the job done in good time. The dial is not stepless, but so far I haven't had any issues dialling in.
Im not sure what you mean by not working with naked pf, i have one and it works flawlessly. However I do find that its a bit finicky when using a dosing cup. I havent found the right dosing cup height that fits the holder.
@@mediumroast2k I said judging by other comments. But I guess we all agree that the scale forks don't lend themselves to holding anything but a standard pf. And at this price and for this market, it would be nice to have some options?
I am liking the grinder so far however I have not figured out how to properly grind for filter coffee because it makes an absurd mess. The small dosing cup that they give you is too far from the grind spout so coffee and static just flies everywhere. You also cannot grind directly into a bag because the grinder will not start unless it recognizes weight being put on the grinder forks. Has anyone Solved this?
If I am grinding for drip coffee, and I want a nice big pot (8-10 cups), what do I use as a receptacle to catch the grinds that’s also compatible with the built-in scale?
That problem solving technique of "opening the chute" is truly revolutionary :)

it's not step-less so have you found you wish it was a stepless grinder instead? thx
@g Golden Brown would you buy this over the LM pico?

It'll work with a naked PF, but it is not working with linea micra's naked PF due the mechanism of sprout attachment on micra.
Good sharing ❤

what if you're using a dosing ring, is the machine still able to weigh?
