I would recommend buying a lenovo S30 and just caseswapping it. Most of the time they are 4c/8t and are much faster than the usual 4c/4t haswell era processors. Also can find them for around 100 bucks for a complete system.
I got Acer aspire TC885 and upgrade the psu. And got a 5700xt. 310$ for a I5 8400 and 5700xt

i made a xeon e5 2670 v3 + rx 580 2048sp + 16go ddr4 for around the same price, works great, but the second hand pc market is tough here...

That issue with the black screen and full fan blast happened to me on my old RX 580 4GB. I didnt find a solution, but i just upgraded to a 3070 OC

I love this video and this build, but I think you could squeeze A LOT more performance out of this build by allocating just a few more $$(10-20) to get a better GPU like the 1660 Super, especially as the 1660 Super can be found for about $60-70 and the GTX 970 was $50.
Edit: As a quick follow-up I checked out my local marketplace and found a GTX 1070 8Gb for $70. Massive improvement in performance over the GTC 970 4Gb for just $20 (if one didn't haggle the price down and paid the full $70)
I understand that adding to a budget always opens up the door to better performance, but I suggested a slightly better GPU because that i5 4690K is still a workhorse and offers a lot of price to performance value already as long as one can keep it cool.
yea 900 series isnt cuttin it anymore.. only 80 and 80ti which are hard to find for a good price. longevity on these isnt much longer either. 10-20 for a 1660s/ 1070, yea i agree. would have to drop another 10-20 on a better psu (which he should have done in the first place) but all in all this would bring the building cost closer to $250 so i do get it from his perspective. i was also happy seeing him score a sick price on that mobo tho, optiplex builds are really hard to rec cuz they ugly internals.
@@bradgarpner6777 no need to upgrade the PSU , 1660s and 4690k , even at peaks, won't run more than 275-325 watts in gaming.
@@PrimedTales It's not that the Thermaltake Smart 430W can't supply the watts needed for this build...it's just a terrible quality PSU overall. Generally it's better to stay away from the Thermal Smart PSUs. Their Toughpower line is B tier though
Are talking strictly Marketplace? Cause the 1660 Super hasnt been in that price range for a hot minute on ebay. I've been campnig the website for the past 3 weeks and it hasn't been below $90 outside of a few auction winners in the 80s

I have the exact same issue you described (for the RX480) on my 2070 super, i put an FPS limit on it, that worked for a few games (like fortnite, doom eternal, overwatch2, and minecraft)but not all of them, so i still cant play cs2 or pc building simulator 2 and a few others. if you have any idea on how to fix it, please tell me, bc a new GPU would be pretty expensive, especially where i live.
P.S. its definitely not any other part making it do that, ive tried putting it in another PC

An i5 8400 or R5 x600 would have been a reasonable choice..

yesterday i got a gtx 1050ti and put on my pc for fun and it got better fps than my 1650 gtx and when i changed back to 1650 gtx it got 100 fps cap on minecraft and fortnite and fortnite was lagging so hard 30 fps . why is that is it fixable

Not really. Considering it was only a 105$ profit and 8 hours of my time building/testing/benchmarking it. Fortnite and roblox are the main games for this customer. He's getting 122 fps on fortnite at medium settings based on my benchmarking. Good deal for what it was. Furmark stress test was 80fps as well@@imac5834

It’s laggy because it’s recording the game which was running under 30 fps so it’s choppy (I use a capture card doesn’t use the pc)

@@pinakmiku4999 prebuilts can have issues too and dealing with customer service is bad and slow. Not to mention that prebuilts are more over priced than paying someone to build it. Also, there is peace of mind in buying from someone you know isn’t going to scam you.

bruh ddr3 and a 4th generation intel i5?? thats hella old. an i3-12400 with a gtx 980 and 8gb of ddr4 with a 500gb ssd will be better in my opinion.
It’s perfectly fine for lighter titles. For a newer system, the GTX 980 is a horrendous choice, as it is very likely to lose driver support soon. If you want real value, the Lenovo P520 with the W-2135 and an RX 5700XT is best. The processor is equivalent to the R5 3600, and it comes equipped with a solid 900W PSU. DDR4 ECC is also dirt cheap, as you can easily get 32GB for around $25. For around $300-$350 total, it is nearly unrivaled value, and is super simple to build.

Might be a difficult question but I'm EU based (Netherlands) and the prices for pc parts even second hand are a lot higher. Could you maybe make a vid about a budget pc for around the same price for Eu costumers?
It would have made more sense to spend $15 more for a i7 4790 or 4770 with 4cores/8threads and gotten almost double performance that i5 is so bottlenecked.

i5 4690k just too weak to handle any recent title. Too much CPU bottleneck by the 10 years old weak i5 4690k. Not pairing with a Z series board to squeeze as much performance from this little old chip is a bad decision.
No, it doesn't has much room for upgrade, since the cpu is the bottleneck. Given the price of i7 4790k, it is also not worth upgrade to i7 4790k, getting a r5 1600 is better deal
This $200 HP Victus Ryzen 5 5600G RX 6400 is much better, even the GTX970 is a better card than RX6400.

This pc can do 45ps on Cyberpunk 1080p low. If the fair ebay price of the i5 4690k is $270, the performance per dollar doesnt worth it.
