Glad to see you featuring another used xeon build! This is a great build for the price range! Like you mentioned in the video, the second kit of ram would be a solid addition to this build. For those interested in these builds, most of these Chinese motherboards do not allow you to modify your ram speed/timings and will run all ddr4 ram at just 1866MHz (those that do will only allow you to increase speed to the max supported by the cpu, which is 2133MHz for v3 and 2400MHz for v4), regardless of rated speeds, and running the ram in quad channel will double the bandwidth, putting the ram performance roughly on par with a 3600MHz kit running at the same timings and significantly reducing any memory bottleneck you would have. Also, the cpu you received in the bundle is actually a bit more powerful than the one you showed on the intel ark site! It's a special oem variant (which doesn't have an ark page) that can boost up to a max 3.5GHz rather than 3.3GHz and is one of the weird xeons that supports both ddr4 and ddr3 ram, assuming you get a board that has ddr3 slots on it. The ddr3 support isn't something I'd say most people should look into, but it definitely has its uses. The higher boost speed, on the other hand, is pretty nice if you want to go the route of the v3 turbo boost unlock at some point, as it would give you about a 400MHz boost compared to what the overlay showed you sitting at most of the time during the benchmarks, which could give you a bit of a performance boost in games at the cost of higher temps and power draw. All in all, another great video! Love seeing ways to help get people on a tight budget into pc gaming!
May I ask a silly question: 5:22 is that MSI SSD just a Kingston NV2 with a different sticker? Very similar specs (maybe exactly the same), same color, and close to the same price.
The console argument many love to make is a bad one. A Playstation can only play Playstation games. An Xbox can only play Xbox games. Also, many console people don't seem to understand that you can connect virtually any controller to a PC. They seem to think they have to learn how to game on a keyboard and mouse.
You can still mod old consoles to run VMs, like I found a cheap Wii for $50 and runs everything made by Sega/Nintendo(except for Switch). Great for kids just learning to game or old game nostalgia.

Hello, im new. Just found this on RUclips and thought i would have a look. Ive seen some other channels do cheap builds. So i was pleasantly surprised to see you are using AliExpress xeon & mobo. I have seen builds do this idea but not much in resent times. Last time i seen one of these builds they were using older xeons and it was questionable if the nvme slot on the motherboard worked. Personally i would save up enough for the extra ram. Quad channel is the way to go. Then there's the GPU. 5700xt is one of the best price to performance used GPUs available on the AliExpress website imo. So much better than a rx 580 for this price point.
Frames per second (FPS) can also be influenced by your monitor's specifications. Simply assuming you'll achieve a certain FPS without considering your monitor's capabilities can lead to disappointment. For instance, if your monitor's refresh rate is only 60Hz and you're aiming for 200 FPS, you'll likely face limitations. 🖥 Reflecting on my own experience, during times when budget was tight, I resorted to using my Samsung TV from 2015, which had a 1920x1080 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. Even with a setup featuring 32GB RAM and an i7-4790 CPU, playing Fortnite on low settings with performance mode enabled, and relying on an AMD 450 LP 4GB GPU from a Dell Optiplex 7020 SFF, I managed around 120 FPS. The game heavily relies on GPU performance, hence the discrepancy. 🎮 Rocket League, on the other hand, is more CPU-dependent. Despite reducing all settings to their lowest, I could only achieve 60 FPS. However, experimenting with a slightly lower resolution in windowed mode, such as 1907 x 1080, increased the FPS to 40. Reverting to 1920x1080 resolution with higher settings, except for motion blur, brought the FPS down to 30 without movement, with power-saving settings activated, and around 50 FPS in motion. 🚗⚽ Understanding the fundamental hardware requirements for different games is crucial. Rocket League, for example, can run smoothly even with just 2GB of RAM. On the other hand, GTA 5 utilizes both CPU and GPU resources, allowing for the utilization of integrated and dedicated graphics processing units. 🕹 If you're noticing your PC's fans ramping up while playing Fortnite on a starter PC, it's likely due to the game's demands on your GPU or CPU, emphasizing the importance of knowing your system's capabilities and the requirements of the games you play. 🔥
You could do Turbo Unlock for the xeon and undervolting, that gives extra performance. Also HT disabled will give you better 1% low FPS and overalll better stability and more FPS. But generally great video !!!

This machine is technically quad channel, but it comes with 2 sticks as part of the bundle. feel free to grab 2 more, but im not sure how much more performance youd get
Bro you say the 580 got dethrowned but it is a third of the Price of the 5700xt
He can support Minecraft with a faithful 32 and complementary shaders reimagined? :)
idk thats really good for a 350$ gaming pc but there is no upgread path if i was u id rather get a ryzen 5 3600 + mobo for around120$ + 2*8 ddr4 ram for 35$ + same ssd and case and psu for 110$ we d spend around 265 wed have around 85$ left either get a used gtx 1660 or rx5500xt yes the gpu is weaker but its got a bigger upgread path
You could have gotten a better cooler instead of those cable extensions
The gpu in my country is on sale for like 60 % That is pretty crazy but the full price I coulda got a 3060 or even a 4060
would an rx 570 work in thid build
Absolutely
Will this config support win11?
Im wondering if i there are other options for the motherboard combo i dont like buying from Alixpress
You can try to buy them separately from eBay, but it will be way more expensive
Lemonade is good
Hi is it possible to change or upgrade the cpu to a maybe better xeon type of cpu?
Most likely yes, just search x99 motherboard bundles on aliexpress
@@JasonWitmerYT Alr Thanks 👍
Can I use rx6700 xt or rtx 3070 instead ?
You could, but the cpu might be a bit underpowered.
i dont know much about computers but if i wanted to use all the parts in this video but wanted to change the case to an darkflash dlm21(due to looks) would everything still be compatible
Yep should work fine
Hello, I’m a console player but I’m looking to build a budget PC that I can stream from as well as edit video. It might be cool to play some games on it but it’s not a priority Do you think this would be a good solution for me? Could I get away with a cheaper option?
Thanks!
It depends on the games you’re playing; but yes this would certainly be able to do all those things just fine at 1080p :)
@@JasonWitmerYT thank you!
Breh, of course its on xeon.
The AliExpress link doesn't work
They all work for me - try another browser
gpu not available
must have sold out - ill drop an alternative!
is a $500 PC with a used 6700XT + I3 12100F possible?
Only if you get an insane deal on the GPU
@@JasonWitmerYT i can find it for $200-$220 rather often, is that considered a good deal? the entire build with it would only cost $550
I would have done this but i bought a gaming pc for WAY to mutch money
Remember everyone, you need $1,000+ to build a half decent PC...unless you actually do your research and look for good deals and look at the used market.
Not everyone has 1000$ to spend nowadays, especially in a pc
Hi, its the first time seeing one of your videos but could you try also benchmarking BeamNG Drive with this pc? thanks
can someone help me lol. i’ve been looking for all these pieces and the cpu/motherboard/ram combo has me stuck the one in the description is out of stock and i don’t know what’s another alternative im new to this so i don’t want to buy one and it not be compatible or something.
I got you :) s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DFEWASj
I’m still rocking an Xbox 1 💀
That’s ok! Great games on there 👍
@@JasonWitmerYTyeah except I miss out on a lot of features cause of it being old gen but I’m not complaining it’s better than nothing
@@DingDongProdz Stupid question, but do you mean the Xbox 1 from 2001 or (I'm assuming) Xbox One from 2013?
@@charliesretrocomputing the one from 2013
@@DingDongProdz good 😅
It’s really not that bad! Don’t worry, just save up some money for a Series S or a budget pc if you want an upgrade.
5700 xt is not good long term as it doesn't support mesh shaders. Better get a rx 6600 xt or a rtx 2070 super
did any mid tower office case of an office PC has the ability to change the PSU and add a GPU i talk about the thinkstation M800 mid tower
i found a i7 6700 16gb ram 120gb ssd 500gb HDD for 210$ and add a used PSU for 30$ and the beast that never die the most powerfull GPU in the world RX 580 8gb for 70-100$ its a 6th gen intel CPU and i have the upfradibility max to a i9 9900k that is super powerfull TI
nvm I build this one lol
that whole ‘budget builds are useless’ take is pretty delusional. I would take a lower spec’d pc over a buggy proprietary heap of garbage any day. my experience with my series x was so frustrating I sold it and quit gaming for a while.
After watching This Video: My Conclusion - buy A Steam Deck Oled for $489 and Save up some money to build A $279 PC with A Gtx 1660 ti for $80 And Ryzen 7 3700X for $80 on Fb market place.
Not a bad idea haha
You should warn your viewers that this motherboard/cpu will not support Windows 11 and Windows 10 becomes obsolete in 1 1/2 years
Use Linux since Windows 11 is worse than 8
@@Hypnotically_Caucasian someone can certainly do that but fewer than 5% of users use Linux in all flavors. I have used Ubuntu but struggled with drivers and software. It's probably better now, but very few people actually use it.
Bring the parts list!
please I want help i live in a country that have bad prices but it's my first PC and I want a very very good deal is this PC one
ryzen 5 2600
16×1 ram Tforce RGB 3000MHz
MSI A320 a pro
gt 1030
CORSAIR 550w PSU
mars case with 1fan
256gb SSD
with a Dell display 1080p 60hz
all that for 250$
i will add a RX 580 8gb 2048sp from aliexpress for 73$ and 500gb sata SSD from express too for 25$ or an M.2 one for 28.5$ and i will add 8×1gb ram 3200MHz CL16 for the dual channel for 15-20$
total with display: 370$ is it a good deal ?? and when I wanted to upgrade to a Ryzen 5 3600 did I have to change the motherboard ?? and I can sell the GT 1030 for around 40-70$ in the marketplace
Its okay, although u should maybe try getting used instead of ali for the gpu. No need to change the mobo by the way and u dont really need to upgrade to the 3600 with the rx 580
@@Seniken the used in my country is so bad the rx 580 2048sp is 90$ and in aliexpres is around 70$ and when i upgrade to the ryzen 5 3600 i will upgrade the GPU too to a RX 5700 non xt from aliexpress for 145$
@@khalilmansouri-oj8nl its 100 for me too
Buying anything that doesn't support win11 is a disaster. So you want your PC to be done in one year?
Linux?
you all was find impossible to make pc for the price you get
I have pc better then this but i hope to have this pc idk what😂
The fans don’t seem spinning at all…
They are turned off for filming
😅 Ali express catchy half the stuff isn't what it is advertised as
you are a good PC builder but not a good benchmarked you now benchmark the CPU not the PC you run all the games at lowest possible whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy but still good bro keep going
Still prefer PC gaming.
Hi
i dont give a shit for compuiter the only reason gaming pc is making money for me is roblox that it everthing else xbox switch for me all the way and firestick
That cpu is a huge bottleneck, x99 should not be a consideration in 2024 with the plethora of cheap older Ryzen options. Even a overclocked e5 v3 Xeon won’t match older Ryzen.
Please show me where I can buy a ryzen motherboard, cpu, and 16 gbs of ram for $80
Buy me a PC?? Mine doesn’t even have a graphics card and can’t run anything
😂😂😂
Ew
I respect what youre doing. Thanks for showing that it doesnt take thousands of dollars to build a pc. Not everyone needs this type of budget build but theres tons of kid who wish they had a machine like this. 👌🫡
Lol who even plays valorant anymore
5 million people played it yesterday
Why would you turn settings all the way down for singleplayer games? lol you literally don't need 100fps on Red Dead Redemption 2 or Cyberpunk or Mafia 3. You can play 1080p ultra on that machine with Cyberpunk, which is crazy good performance for a sub-$500 PC. That's amazing. I can't believe it's already the point you can get 1080ti performance for under 500 USD.
Don’t those codes for windows u get from scdkeys stop working after like a month
Incorrect. You’re thinking of marketplace cd key websites
