- I love the 6028 wax because it combines the powerful scent throw of paraffin with the great look and usability of soy! It is also really resistant to frosting so if you'll be using dye in your pillars, votives, or wax melts, this would be a wax to try for sure! You can see more information about how the 6028 wax should look and perform but checking out the Lab Notes: www.candlescie...

Thank you for this! 😊🎉
Very happy to help!
Hi! I just bought this wax. I'm curious why there isn't much information anywhere on this type of wax? I really can only find it on candle science.
Does this make good wax melts?
Yes! The 6028 is great for melts! To see more about its properties and how you can expect it to perform, check out the Lab Notes here: www.candlescience.com/learning/lab-notes-igi-6028-paraffin-soy-pillar-wax-blend/
What's the ratio of soy and paraffin in this blend plz?
Unfortunately, the exact ratio is held as proprietary information by the manufacturer but we'd venture to say that there is more paraffin than soy in the blend.
u so pretty
Nuce! What wick was used?
For this mold and the 6028 wax, I'd start with an LX 24 wick.
Can this be used in candle containers?
I wouldn't recommend it for containers as it is a pillar wax and tends to shrink a bit as it hardens. This could cause the wax to pull away from the sides of your jar. If you're looking for a wax blend for containers though, I would try the IGI 6046 coconut/paraffin blend or the IGI 6006 soy/paraffin blend!
Ok thank you
