Hi bramble berry, I watched ur videos and tried to make beeswax candles in glass jar. I have faced an issue. After making jar candle, I leaved it to on home Temp for drying. After some time, wax has been cracked in side jar. Am not mixed any substance, oil or essential oil. How to avoid this? And one more question is about tunnelling. How to avoid this also? Waiting ur reply. Thanks from India.
Best video ever because you also showed us all of the “bad” examples too. We are going to make our first candles as a family tonight, and this video rocked!
As a second-year beekeeper, this is my first time working with a substantial block of new wax, and I couldn't have asked for a more helpful and inspiring guide. Your style and content are exactly what I needed-thank you so much
Watched this last night on mute with subtitles on for about half of the video, and still learned a ton. Today I finally felt confident enough to take the quart bag full of beeswax shards that I collected in our previous, over air-conditioned apartment (the wax was always getting blown off to the side by the vent), and make two little mason jar candles for Advent. It was so easy and not nearly as messy as expected, and it took less than an hour!!!
So glad you were comfortable enough to give candle making a shot! We are so excited for you that they turned out well and was easier to do than you expected!
I just bought 6 candle sconces, wrought iron, from 5 seperate garage sales, and 30 candle holders to fill, they look soooo naked. So i bought 4, 5 pound bricks of beeswax from our local growers market with no idea how to make candles. Just cruising through youtube i came across this video, and low and behold it's my favorite candle company!!! I have purchased your candles several times from whole foods, and i am never unsatisfied with your product!!! I think that it is wonderful that you are sharing this information with beginners. Im now ready to get the rest of the supplies i need to make candles for my sconces!! Thank you so much for providing this extremely informative video!
Im a second year beekeeper with my first big block of new wax to use. The style and content of this video has been very helpful and encouraging. Thanks!
This is awesome. I bought my first beeswax candle last year because I had done some research about the benefits and I love being able to burn it in the house during the winter with my windows closed. I have asthma and it's nice not having to worry about smoke, soot or irritation to my airways. Now I want to start making my own beeswax candles and I am thrilled I found a long time expert, plus I love everything connected to Bramble Berry.
I’m ready to start making my own supplies to live off of and candles were the first thing I wanted to learn how to make, after countless videoes this is the only one I could find that actually taught me things I didn’t already know! I can tell u have a passion for it and ur not just doing it for the sake of having a channel! I appreciate ur work entirely and I’ll be looking forward to watching more of ur videos✨
Not only did this video teach us the wick sizes, the containers, the wax temp options, and hazards, but clean up too?! BRAVO!!!! I’m sending this vid to everyone
The first video I came across on this, no need to look further. You demonstrated that so well, and your voice is so soothing! I was hesitant if I can do this but thank you for the spot on tutorial!
Second comment - I watched this and have been making my own beeswax candles as part of a new business project - it's been so much fun ordering different scents and thinking about containers and labels. I bought a candlemaking kit from Amazon and use some of the things in it, but have purchased additional beeswax from sellers online. What an amazing scent, and making the candles is very enjoyable. I'm so excited to share them with friends and family, and I want to thank you again Flower, for this tutorial. Peace be with you :)
I shared this to Facebook with the text: "I have been moving my candle-making supplies from home to home for several years and have not come close to having the time to begin this journey until now. This was the first tutorial I came across when searching for a guide that would not be all about a sales pitch and I am thoroughly impressed by Flower's technique and knowledge, and how thorough she is in identifying wrong choices & consequences, as well as the right things to do. I am excited to get started!" There is soooo much more I want to say to you about this wonderful video, but time does not allow so I'll leave it at that for now. THANK YOU!
Really excellent video! The only two things I would've liked to understand further are which wicks to choose (as others have mentioned), how to know which glass containers are heat-safe (like if thrifting them for example), how much essential oil to use, and how to use the double-boiler again (as opposed to the creme brulee torch for those who don't have one). Thanks a lot! :)
The way she explained how the bottles that narrow at the top and how they'd blacken over time reminded me of the glass chimneys on the old oil lamps and lanterns
I tried my first ever candle making few hours back, it turned out pretty amazing. Thankyou so much for the knowledge😊... The first candle i poured had a tunnel near the wick, your troubleshooting part indeed helped me. The second candle i poured turned out amazing & it has a perfect finish...
I will stick to buying the candles already made bees wax doesn’t look very easy to work with, my hats off to all of you who create these precious candles for peeps like me to enjoy!
Thanks. This is the best informative video I have seen. I am a beekeeper and have extra wax but ran into problems with wick sizes. Also, beeswax cleans the air and draws impurities to the wax. Another plus.
I made my first beeswax candles and I got those cracks and sinkholes, probably because my container was too cold, and not having a heatgun I put my candles in the oven at broil and I worked perfectly well. For those who don't have a heatgun, that could be a life saver ;)
I've found that I can use oven safe pots n containers in a warm oven to release and leftover wax then pour it into a cute little silicone molds and recycle and reuse it into other candles!!😉
Wish I'd seen this before. I wondered why the scent was faint. I poured it in while the wax was melting lol. Lesson learned as I wondered why I couldn't really smell the scent Thank you so much for a very informative video
Flower you made my day. I watched about a dozen of these How To Make Your Own Candle videos. As a beginner I just want to try it. I don't want to get too much into the technicallities of whether it has a bubble or indent or not. But watching your video was informational but fun. I hope to see more of your videos. Thanks
Nice video. I would like to see another one using flex molds instead of containers. Found this video while waiting for my beeswax candles to cool and harden.
I've watched several tutorials and yours is the best one 👌🏾, so happy I came across this video. The way you explained everything was slow, clear and easy to understand, and I felt comfortable that I could do this from home. I'm really looking forward and feeling confident that I can make my own 😊 Thank you for taking the time to make this video 🤗
Thank you Flower you’ve covered everything & yes to a novice like me who loves Candles - it’s doable! This is something I want to get into. I’ll be rewatching this over again before I order the kit cheers Trish
I have 8 beehives and started to look around what I could do withy the wax I harvested from the honey frames. You sure captured all the various steps in making beeswax candles. I enjoyed all the intricate parts you explained in every step, pointing out the good and not so good pouring...I defiantly will do some of this in a couple months. Thanks for sharing...Awesome!
Great information. I'm new to beeswax candle moulding, I use an electric hot air gun to level things out. What I have taken from this is to pay more attention to melt temperature and ambient temperature. Should save me from a load of "finessing".
My go-to is saving the glass containers from candles ive bought previously. I’ll even use the leftover wax from the old candle to scent my homemade candle and boom! Duplicated :)
I really enjoyed this video it was probably one of the more informative ones I've watched so far. I really wished you guys would show a beeswax candle making video with wood wicks! Other than that this was great and I loved the vibes.
Hi, this was SO helpful. I was just melting and pouring. No wonder I had deep cracks in the middle. No other video mentions temp…just..poke the hole with a stick and the wax will move into the air hole. Thank you so much. I use both commercial soy and natural beeswax so I will try your method with both types. I feel I will make beautiful candles from now on.
It would have been nice to show what kind of wick and what size of wick was burning in the size of glasses shown in the first five minutes - both the ones burning too hot and the ones burning just right.

Pour boiing water into the jar with wax left over. Stop when the water is about to spill over the top. Then wait. The boiling water will melt the wax, and the wax will form a hard surface on the water once the water is cooled.
Thanks Flower - this video has given me the comprehensive information I have been looking for. Others don’t mention the different temps for adding oils and pouring, so I feel when I do start my project, I will be better armed. Gotta get one of those brûlée torches!! 😃
Thanks Flower! I learned so much from you and got some great advice when I start making candles. The troubleshooting tips were especially helpful and seeing you walk through the whole thing :)
Interesting but it is fun to have a candle in a bottle , a long thin candle that drips down and coats the glass bottle, even a used wine bottle. I made candles before and a pyramid candle in multi colours was beautiful. It's so joyful. 🔱 Thank you for inspiration. . . Flow Don't follow 💓
Oh! I buy their candles all the time, how cool to see them here too :) I just get their regular no scented candles. I love the light honey smell on its own. I highly rec their candles :D
Hey Flower, Thank you for this video, It's very informative, you did it with your own graceful way & it was a great pleasure to learn from you - Thank you so much!
Love the presenter. Really great class, thank you! One little comment about the editing. Please avoid explaining dialogue boxes in the middle of screen right at the time the camera focus on the close up. It'd be nice to see what she's doing and the materials you're trying to sell, like for example wicks. Once again, really appreciate your videos and the wonderful classes. 🙏❤️😊
Wow! I love how you explain each step!! I am waiting for my pouring pot to arrive, then I will try my hand on candle making using my friends beeswax! Thank you so much! You made it look so easy and fun!! Can't wait!
What a very informative video! Thank you very much for the wonderful tips and information. I’ve rendered wax over the last 7 years from several of my beehives and I’m just now just looking into making candles with the beeswax I’ve harvested over the years. These will make great a great shower party favor gifts.🥰🐝

Can't wait!
I would have liked if she explained the wick diameters more specifically, such as the demonstrated and recommended wick with.
This is great! I would love more from her.

This is a great video! So many little details and easy tips (especially for clean up). Thank you so much!
Wow..yayyy! I majorly wanted to understand the cleanup process. But everything was explained in such details. Thank you for that.
What a very informative video! Thank you very much for the wonderful tips and information. I’ve rendered wax over the last 7 years from several of my beehives and I’m just now just looking into making candles with the beeswax I’ve harvested over the years. These will make great a great shower party favor gifts.🥰🐝
You were so detailed! This was excellent, thank you!
