Dry wall & mudding are the worst jobs that being said I am so.. happy for you both that you were able to hire this out to professionals. Seeing the smiles on your faces is PRICELESS! Please be sure your humidity isn’t over 50% because mold will produce at higher rates. Many people are sick from mold toxicity in USA. Change the air is a nonprofit on utube that will give you info. for free🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s

My aunt built her house on the side of a mountain and the driveway had a 130° turn half way up with a 25 foot rise from bottom to top. It was a challenge to get her utility vehicle up the driveway when it snowed, which at a ski resort is pretty much a given. In terms of utilities and digging trenches, its better to do a great job the first time than an ok job more than once. Good choice on your part!

Those guys doing the plaster boarding/plastering are so fast that I nearly checked my download speed to see if I had accidentally changed it. That's an amazing team of workers.

Would you ever consider a long zip line (foofy slide in South Africa) from the top terrace to the bottom of your front garden? You could use a winch like motor to take the seat or stand back up.Well done you guys, your house is staring to take amazing shape!
Holy cow, that dry wall crew meant business...they just cranked it out! The drywall does help to vision the house quite a bit. Love how you all deal with the challenges....just put a smile on and get on with it. I absolutely cannot wait to see the finished product! Inching closer and closer every day!! 😊
Regarding stone walls on the interior of your home, it's possible to clad drywall with stone or brick. It just requires the stone or brick to be sliced into thinner pieces. You then apply those pieces like tiles and grout them with mortar.
About paint. I think you might agree that the best pay possible for the kind of materials you’re going to be painting is called Kai MKEIM made in Austria and the buildings that they paint generally don’t ever have to be repainted again. I’ve used it in several places in our houses and it’s just amazing stuff. It’s really good on cement or plaster but anyway, they’ll tell you how to use it.
In Sweden we put play wood or osb behind the drywall it’s easier if you want to hang something have on the wall 😄 Impressive work ethic you and your family have, 👍👍

First I want to say that I like your show very much. I had one thought, even though I’m not an expert. If possible it’s a good idea to put the sewage pipe below the freshwater pipe in case of a leak. That way you don’t contaminate the freshwater. Good luck! Karin from Sweden

Your analogy about using the grid as a battery is spot on... It just removes your ability to use power when your solar isn't producing electricity like an onsite battery bank and inverter would. If power is reliable there, it shouldn't be an issue, or rarely will be an issue.

Please remember to seal the wells well with cement to prevent them from filling up with mud.
