    I love how you just use items that you bought 5 yrs or so ago, and don't feel the need to buy new "minimalist" things. I like how transparent you are. So inspiring!

    • @louisefroideval
      @louisefroideval  3 дня назад +2

      I’m really intentional with what I buy, I try to buy / consume only what I need. We need to slow down and realise that very often we don’t need to buy new things, we just have to use what we already have 😌 And a positive bonus is that we are able to save more money overtime 😄

    Looks perfect for a beach holiday to me! Of course, your clothing takes up very little space - I know my mom complains that her very slim friend travels with a backpack while our bras and swimsuits take up much more space than yours lol and just my husband's shoes would fill my backpack!! But I frequently travel with a 16 l Kanken backpack even though my clothing isn't tiny and it's fine, I have plenty of room for the few items I need for a week and if I'm away longer, I wash stuff.
    It's a relief to see a woman who doesn't need so much for hair and beauty, straighteners etc. as I also get by just fine with a small pouch for my essentials ;)
    Also, are any of us traveling to places where we couldn't buy whatever we might need and didn't happen to have taken?!

    Thank you for sharing your minimalist journey & adventures with us Louise! As a half French aspiring minimalist, I love hearing you use French words when you don't know the English equivalent.
    What would you say is the most challenging aspect of minimalism for you?
    Keep inspiring 🤗

    • @louisefroideval
      @louisefroideval  2 дня назад +1

      I would say the most challenging part of minimalism is to not go crazy when I go to city centers and see so many non necessary shops, and the clutter and consumption in my families houses 🥲

    Your "merino shirt" is sort of a camisole!
    In America your little bag is a "fanny pack," or a "waist pack," and you're right ... in the UK it's a "bum bag."

    Amazing! I didn't know you can use the Dr Bronner's soap in your hair, I will definitely try this! Last time I travelled, I used a tote bag a little big bigger than this, kind of like a fake longchamp bag. It was a little more than I wanted to do but I was travelling in autumn! For my next summer trip I think I will be more like you with my kånken backpack!

      Yes you can use it on hair it’s written on the bar soap 😊 I thought about taking a tote bag too for this trip ahah, convenient but I prefer to have a bag whom (not sure about this word, first time using it 🤣) I can ziplock, more secure 😌
      Yeah definitely travelling in autumn / winter you need more things 🍂

    Hello Louise! 😊 which soap for the whole body do you like better Marseilles or dr.Bronners? Need your expert opinion))

    • @louisefroideval
      @louisefroideval  3 дня назад +2

      Hey Lana! 😊 Honestly they are both great. So I would say, for environmental reasons, if you are in France, buy a local 72% green Marseille soap, or if are elsewhere, buy the Dr Bronners (my point is to avoid long shipping, it’s not eco friendly to order a Marseille soap and send it to the other side of the globe if that makes sense, so if you can buy a Dr Bronners directly at your local store, definitely go for it! 😄)

  • @alonememe
    @alonememe 3 дня назад +2

    Louise, what is your experience with using Dr Bronner's soap on you hair? It doesn't dry them out or live them greesy?

    • @hannahsnow5993
      @hannahsnow5993 3 дня назад +2

      Not Louise. But in my experience I have really sensitive skin/hair. Dr Bronners was too much for my hair. But it’s fine for my face and body.

    • @louisefroideval
      @louisefroideval  3 дня назад +2

      Yes it live them greesy but it’s normal it’s because our hair is too used to regular shampoo and the chemicals that goes with it. 😊 After a few weeks of use the hair is amazing !

    You should definitely take with you a first aid kit with medications for all occasions. Or in France you can’t just buy medicine without a prescription? We take a painkiller, an adhesive plaster, for blood pressure, a bandage, hydrogen peroxide, for nausea, an electronic thermometer, TheraFlu, paracetamol and more. Maybe you are still too young and therefore think that you will not get sick on the trip. But if this happens, then running around in a foreign country in search of a pharmacy or waiting for a doctor will take a long time and will be more expensive than taking the necessary medications with you from home.

    • @Petitefrenchie
      @Petitefrenchie 3 дня назад +5

      In France there is lots of pharmacies, you can go there and ask for médecine is necessary. They can check and help you quickly if you need something basic (sprain, medicine, spray for bites..) if doctor is needed they'll tell you 😉 or we have insurance to get to an hospital near the vacation location in case of emergency ☺️
