    I love how you just use items that you bought 5 yrs or so ago, and don't feel the need to buy new "minimalist" things. I like how transparent you are. So inspiring!

      I’m really intentional with what I buy, I try to buy / consume only what I need. We need to slow down and realise that very often we don’t need to buy new things, we just have to use what we already have 😌 And a positive bonus is that we are able to save more money overtime 😄

    Looks perfect for a beach holiday to me! Of course, your clothing takes up very little space - I know my mom complains that her very slim friend travels with a backpack while our bras and swimsuits take up much more space than yours lol and just my husband's shoes would fill my backpack!! But I frequently travel with a 16 l Kanken backpack even though my clothing isn't tiny and it's fine, I have plenty of room for the few items I need for a week and if I'm away longer, I wash stuff.
    It's a relief to see a woman who doesn't need so much for hair and beauty, straighteners etc. as I also get by just fine with a small pouch for my essentials ;)
    Also, are any of us traveling to places where we couldn't buy whatever we might need and didn't happen to have taken?!

  • @est-fm9ui
    @est-fm9ui 5 месяцев назад +1

    I love how you still use your clothing even after a few years. A lower price doesn't always mean lower quality. I also have a few decathlon items and they hold up so well. I don't think it's fair to say not to buy cheap products if we're using them for years. I admire how minimalist you are able to pack. Must be so freeing!!! ❤ I hope to someday be able to pack similarly. (Maybe I'd pack more undies but they don't take up much space at all)

    • @minimalou_yt
      @minimalou_yt  5 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely if we take good care of our cheap products they can last multiple years! 😌 we should use our products until they died, and then and only then buy a new one, it would be so less wasteful for the environment and our money! 💪😌

    Amazing! I didn't know you can use the Dr Bronner's soap in your hair, I will definitely try this! Last time I travelled, I used a tote bag a little big bigger than this, kind of like a fake longchamp bag. It was a little more than I wanted to do but I was travelling in autumn! For my next summer trip I think I will be more like you with my kånken backpack!

    • @minimalou_yt
      @minimalou_yt  6 месяцев назад +2

      Hey Lana! 😊 Honestly they are both great. So I would say, for environmental reasons, if you are in France, buy a local 72% green Marseille soap, or if are elsewhere, buy the Dr Bronners (my point is to avoid long shipping, it’s not eco friendly to order a Marseille soap and send it to the other side of the globe if that makes sense, so if you can buy a Dr Bronners directly at your local store, definitely go for it! 😄)

    You should definitely take with you a first aid kit with medications for all occasions. Or in France you can’t just buy medicine without a prescription? We take a painkiller, an adhesive plaster, for blood pressure, a bandage, hydrogen peroxide, for nausea, an electronic thermometer, TheraFlu, paracetamol and more. Maybe you are still too young and therefore think that you will not get sick on the trip. But if this happens, then running around in a foreign country in search of a pharmacy or waiting for a doctor will take a long time and will be more expensive than taking the necessary medications with you from home.

    • @arianedurand3141
      @arianedurand3141 6 месяцев назад +5

      I can confirm (also French here), I think I even heard that there are more pharmacies than bakeries in France. And there are what we call "on call pharmacies" so that there's always one open near you. ;)
