I have one of these, using it in bridge mode to power a single 12" SA v.2 D2 (1000wrms) run in series(4 ohm) in a ported box tuned around 36hz. This amp is definitely clear and stays cool no matter how long it's playing. It is decently loud but not enough power for the sub. It would probably be a great pairing with a single 8" X-v.3 or a single 10" - 18" SA (750wrms). You do need an upgraded electrical for this amp cause it is thirsty lol
It was a bit hard to calculate efficiency with the dynamic run because the meter pegged 189 amps and went back to 0, then the dyno pulled a last moment figure of 1838. Not sure if the 189 was the draw for the highest dyno figure or not. Maybe 66% roughly at its highest pull!
Dam i love salt amps wish i could afford 1 my car got stolen with all my nice audio gear in it lost about 10k just in audio plus about 4500 bux for my car so a 14.500 loss is tough to come back from now i dont even have a car or anything it sucks i miss bassing so much. Love u guys sundown makes the best audio products.
With the new line coming out soon hows about seeing about a 2 channel ab monster that's half ohm stereo stable about 2000x2 at 1ohm stereo would be Awesome for us old school diehards there is a few around but nothing special
Brother when are you going to make your own custom soundbar with subwoofer for us to buy. We are tired of these cheap kits they sell at Walmart and Best buy. Because I paid $400 for my Klipsch soundbar from Best buy Broke faster than the Vizio one I got from Walmart. .. and some companies want like $1,200 for a decent one. All junk plz help
@Tegridynews I dont think Sundown Audio does any home audio stuff, I think they are primarily car audio. But if they did ever start doing home audio equipment, I think it would be just as good as their car audio stuff.
@@The_Establishment_Is_Satanic They do have a sound bar coming soon. One of there last live videos he showed what it looked like but I don't think it will have a sub with it hopefully soon though I want to toss my Sony one out the door, just doesn't do justice for me
I have 1 running 3 neo pros 6.5. 2 8 ohm an 1 4 ohm per channel, 6 total. Gain set at quarter way. Gets incredibly loud. I mean F'kn loud,.but question for anyone sae v3 2500 or sia3500 for sq not rms watts.i know that the sae weights a pound more than sia amp
Too be honest In my opinion the only reason to buy A Salt amp is for there brand name, possible reliabilty and build quility---Not the power they put out per watt dollar.
With a higher dollar price comes higher sound quality. I have an Apex Audio CAB45 I paid $600 for and a Salt 3k I paid $1k for. The Salt absolutely sounds better.
You have to get a salt to know why. Yes expensive but well worth it. I have a salt 3, salt 200.2 and a salt 400.2 and the sound quality is damn good, reliability and efficiency is amazing. Power of course.
Running this on 2 6.5 neo pros in my front doors until I build panels for my other 2 and it's spicy to say the least😂
Pretty bad ass. Power is good, just make sure your electrical is as well. Would’ve liked to see the 12v tests too. Maybe a bonus video for 12v?
Sundowns amp and subs seem to be amazing 🤩
They are. Salts are expensive but worth every dollar. Subs are insane and worth every bit also.
Reminds me of the old rockford fosgate amps, does way more power than the 400.2 rating.
Running this on 4 B2 Audio 10" rage p pro's and it's amazing!!!

I just got this amp to run two ds18 neo 6x9 midbass speakers.
Would been nice to see 12.5 volt tests since thats what salt amps are known for not high voltage
Seems like most amps do more power in uncertified mode but this one did 713 certified and only 690 in uncertified @ 2ohms... that's a first
How would you suggest using this amp?(seems to me it was made for subs.)
Can this amp be bridged at 2 ohms? 2.6 ohms??
Can you compare the sundown vex-8 and the apocalypse AP-M67 AN
sundown sia 2500 protection mode any help?
Hello,
I would like to clarify some points with you, how can I get in touch with you directly?
Nice
I like to see numbers it does around 12.5 volts
What hz test tone was used? 40hz or 1khz? Sorry I heard ya say 40 at 6 min or so in so this isn't a mids and highs amp then lol

@@joshprice6638 Nice!
I have a $300 LG sound bar and a $300 Samsung sound bar. Had them both for several years and they’ve both proven to be worth the money.

I know that amp can handle 2 ohm bridged dyno tests
