What DIN setting do you reccomened for freestyle skiing? I recently took a medium sized jumped and stompped the landing but one of my bindings gave out and got my face smashed it. I don't feel like my technique was bad but who knows. I was riding at a DIN of 8.
that depends on your weight, height, sole length and skiing experience. there are calculators online for that. but consult your ski tech for that stuff. also, maybe that landing was a little harsh or maybe one of your bindings is faulty or had snow in it.
If you plan on doing more than just casually skiing, and even then, i'd reconmend to strech always. I myself do it not ofthen enough but its never bad since it prevents a lot of injurys.
@@danielsoderborg well everything is possiblr if you have the skill, but i'd ask the guy in the rent shop. tell him what you plan on doing with your skis. Generally for this trick you need a longer tail ( area behind bindings) and a decent flex there
Update: I tried the first exercise (the one with the poles) and couldn’t get enough weight on the tails to bend them. I tried nose butters as well (the same exercise) and my bindings released before I had a chance to bend them. Am I doing it wrong, do I need “special” skies (longer tail/less stiff) or are they setup wrong due to them releasing early?
@@danielsoderborg the early release is due to the bindings, ask the guy in the store ( or search up some tutorials on yt) on how to tighten your bindings its really not hard but be careful as they wont release as fast in a crash
I have Line TW Pros. They seem to be plenty flexible but it absolutely kills my shins and around that area when I try to butter. Do you know why this would be? My boots are Dalbello IL Moro Mx with a 90 flex. Is that too soft or something? It hurts really bad.
I'm still a total n00b at anything tricksy but I don't seem to trust my poles to hold all my 210+ christmas pounds :D - they're all good enough to take that kind of weight I take it?
I like j8bbing ond snowboard now i switched back to skis and when i try to butter i feel like my skiboots arent holding me tight enough so my feet slip a bit. Is this normal or should i tighten my boots even more altho it is very hard to do so.
@@StompItTutorialsmaybe too late, but I heard line blends have some delam issuess if you hit the park hard and allplays are difficult to get outside US(atleast in Spain). Any other recomendation? Or are allplays easy to get in Switzerland?
last time i did this 2 years ago my bindings went off and i fell really bad since then i'm scared to butter. it's on 6.5 i'm 65kg do you think it's too lose to butter ?

Hi just wondering Where do you mount you bent chetler
Hitting season opener Tuesday, can’t wait!
I have watched this video 3 years ago, but I practice ski this winter. Great I will try this drill tomorrow. Thank you
Getting ready for this season
Yes lets get it :)
so cool
Would love to make it out to LAAX one day... Do you guys have any connections in Colorado of people doing similar freestyle lessons?

this question can only be answered by your ski tech

first, great video, going skiing tomorrow will deffo try this out
Good luck tomorrow :)
Yeah, so do I😉
Is what I need to do. Will try it these days. Thank you for the explanation!
Btw, is there any requirement about which kind of ski I should use?
Would recomend a ski with softer flex so you can "stand" on the tips and your bindings close to or mid mounted
Something with a good amount of rocker and playful
Great video i am going skking tomorrow will try this out definitly, if i may ask, do you recomend streaching befor?

And have a nice day skiing tmrw. Wish u good weather and snow!
O wanna learn this tacnic
Great video as always! Is this possible to do this with “regular twin-tip” skies that you rent or are they too stiff?
what do you mean by 'regular' twin tips?
@@lentintarantino392 like those you rent at ski shops, nothing high tech or top of the line kind of stuff.

Känns olagligt att vara såhär tidig haha ;)
Passa på och njut innan det kanske blir olagligt.
Will I able to do the same if my skis are not twin tip?
Where on the atomic bent chetler 100’s do you have your bindings this season?
Likley -3.5 from true center or true center
I think its -1.5 from true center
I am physically unable to ski anything but dead center

Loosen the top of your boots a bit more, don’t put the sock going over the liner when at the top of the boot, and do exercises

depends on the skies the most. How long they are, where the bindings are mounted and the flex of the ski
You have mentioned you ride different length skis based on tricks you are doing. Are you riding longer skis or the shorter ones here?
Shorter as they feel softer.
@@StompItTutorials what size are they and how tall are you?
@@caspar2609 he is around 176cm long and skies in the video are bent chetler 100 172cm long
Was gonna try and nail these tricks but got corona after the first day of skiing
Hej Jens!
Är HEAD oblivian en bra skida för detta?
Tänkte köpa nya
I videon kör han bent chetler 100 från atomic som är 172cm lång
Next video how to float on skis
How do you do this without absolutely hurting your calves
i try doing this but it hurts my knees so much
What if i cant bend my skis?😭😔
Buy some soft noodles of a ski like Line Blend or even more wild the J-skis All Play.
