    ingredients:
    - onion, shallot, ginger
    - carrots, celery, daikon (optional for stock)
    - beef bones/meat of your choice to use for broth (chicken, beef neck bone, short rib bone, oxtail, tendon, etc.)
    - Quoc Viet beef flavored pho soup base
    - grandma chicken seasoning powder
    - pho spice packet
    - rock sugar
    - thinly sliced beef/meatballs (protein of your choice)
    - rice noodles
    - garnishes: green onion, cilantro, lime, onions, chili, chili oil
you can find ingredients on my amazon storefront if you have no local asian grocery store:
    www.amazon.com...
    chili oil used:
    / saapsabaimarket
    recipe:
    1) parboil beef bones (~15 min) to remove impurities
    2) roast/char veggies (onions, shallots & ginger) optional to roast the carrots, celery & daikon
    3) clean beef bones and add the above ingredients into pot of clean water
    4) cook pho broth on med high for 2 hours (depends on choice of meat, if I have oxtail and tendon I will cook for 4-6 hours, whole chicken is 1 hour)
    5) roast pho spice packet on low (~10 min) until fragrant, add to pot during last 15-20 min of cooking
    6) after ~2 hours of cooking, remove veggies and beef bones from pot
    7) add additional water if needed
    8) season broth w/ beef flavored soup base, chicken powder and rock sugar (adjust to taste)
    9) garnish and serve :)

I've been trying to make a damn good bowl of pho for the past 10 years. I've tried dozens of authentic "mother's" recipes. I've tried using high priced ingredients like ox tail and Red Boat fish sauce. Salt, MSG, short cooking times, overnight, etc. This is the first time I tried my broth and said WOW!!!! 😮Baby girl knocked it out of the park with this video, thank you for this, and making sure I'll never be satisfied with restaurant pho ever again 😅. Thank you for the killer recipe!!! ❤

to fix that one gas stove, just use a toothpick and clear out the gunk where the ignitor is. Over time gunk build up and clogged up, so you will need to clean it time to time.

Great cooking! That's exactly how I make my pho except I low boil for 4 hours at least and add a couple slices of ginger. When you full on boil, the broth gets foggy looking. You low heat boil to get the clear broth. 👍

    • @kimboslice1185
      @kimboslice1185 Год назад +6

I agree. Everything I do is pretty much the same except I also simmer or boil my pot for at LEAST 4 hours. If you can wait 24+ hours for more flavor, power to you. But a brother's gotta eat, and at 4 hours the soup taste just as good, the meat is falling off the bone, and all the seasoning and spices has been expunged.

Plus cook low heat instead of 2 hour make it 4 hour it tastes alot better. Like they say second is always the best😂.

Yes I’m as white as Casper, the friendly ghost, but my first boyfriend was half Japanese half American, and his mother, who was full-blooded Japanese would cook, authentic Japanese dishes for me, and it changed my life forever. Cut to… I moved to LA and introduce to new Asian culture and I fell in love with PHO! I also love how you use real raw ingredients in your recipe. I am suffering from the amount of chemicals that the US puts in our food and I have found that shopping at my local Asian market cuts a lot of that out. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 God bless y’all’s culture….
