Greetings from London Hannah! A great video and I’m so glad you enjoyed your layover here! New to the channel but it’s great! Look forward to your adventures back this side of the pond! X
London is the best. I actually went on a mission trip there a decade ago, actually right before the 2012 Olympics and it was really fun. It's really cool to see all the buildings and even try some of the food. The Fish and Chips are my favorite in England. Glad you had an amazing trip.
I have still yet to try fish and chips when I’ve been. But I’m not the biggest fish person, so idk if id like it or not. But at the same time, it’s London so I feel like I at least need to try it haha.
The walk to the London Tower was and nice. The Harrods Retail Shopping Center is nice to go too as well as Selfridge Store is very cool. I have walked along the Thames River passing the Parliament Building along with Big Ben standing there as well.😊😊

Hannah, how fortunate to have those senior Moms and Dads there to support and uplift you. Have been to the Tower too and think that is where we saw the jewels AND the ultra security that goes with it. That Borough Market was nice and that crumble with the hot vanilla sauce REALLY made my mouth water. And great colleague Lauren for sure to provide you with a warm coat. Wonderful trip. Herman
Yes, I did take a walk through the jewels. That was neat. There were so many different places in the borough market that looked so good! I would love to go back and try some more!
How to get your lunch for free at Borough Market. A colleague and I walked around Borough Market, tasting all the free samples. We both are good eaters and will eat most things. 😋 yum yum 😋.
Must be a memorable milestone for any FA to fly to London for the very first time. I can still remember being carried by a National Airlines FA up the spiral staircase to the cockpit for a visit. I must have been 4 years old. The flight was from MIA-LHR in 1972, If I close my eyes I can still picture the FA's tan uniform.

Greetings from London. Glad you enjoyed your visit, but try to come in the summer next time - dusk is at 9.30pm in June but there's residual light up to after 10. Borough Market is expensive - there are lots of places round there to eat more cheaply and have a seat too! If you walk from there down to the river bank (Bankside) you can go all the way down to Westminster Bridge and Big Ben and take in the sights (The replica of Shakespeare's Globe theatre is very near to where you filmed). It was -7 degrees Celsius in my garden when I went outside this morning, so you had a lucky escape with the weather!
How cool that you got to do an international trip and business class. Do you guys have PJ’s when you guys rest in the crew rest area. What plane did you fly on and where is the crew rest room?
Hi Hannah. Great video, but very eye-opening about the 'black book' held by security staff in London. A quick question though - I fly BA and American very regularly to and from London and Philly. Why do AA flight attendants get so angry with me when I try to do stretches at the back of the plane next to the toilets (I have a back problem and can't sit for hours at a time)? The BA staff never ever seem bothered as long as I don't get in their way, but AA staff always tell me that I'm not allowed to 'linger' back there and I either have to use the toilet or go back to my seat.
You should see London and other cities in England in the warm summer months. The country is beautiful and the people are friendly. I love seeing a great play is fun in London. Just stumbled across your channel. Looks good. Not flown through London in a while. Do they really now have American TSA security staff in the UK? Seems strange. They never used to. I assume only for American flights. I thought our UK security was strict enough.
OMG you seem such a friendly crew member for AA. I flew with them from JFK to LHR a couple of years ago this particular crew was one of them that’s been there since forever and was so miserable and rude I thought why work there and be rude and miserable if you don’t like it
Let your flight attendants know when you get on board that you get a little anxious when you fly. Most will come and check on you throughout the flight to make sure you’re doing okay! If turbulence is part of your uneasiness pick a seat toward the front of the aircraft. It’s usually a lot less bumpy in the front than the back.
Can't believe you don't get at least one day off after a longhaul flight. Crew working for various UK airlines get at least 2 days off after a flight back from the US (east coast) and 3 days off for west coast. Also you'll be pleased to know that the liquid rule will soon be a thing of the past at UK airports. London City Airport passengers and crew can now take any size liquids in their hand luggage without them needing to be in a plastic bag thanks to new technology in the scanners which will be rolled out to other UK airports in the near future!
I had heard about the liquid policy changing there! That’s exciting! We used to get transatlantic trips with multiple day layovers but since Covid I haven’t seen any in Charlotte. Hopefully they will make their way back into the mix soon!
Glad you enjoyed your trip to the UK, yes, unfortunately British airports are run by sadists who get a thrill from treating their paying customers in a poor manner so don’t expect any better for the workers. Maybe on another trip you’ll have time to get out of London. England, Wales and Scotland have lots of stunningly beautiful places to see but I guess it’s tricky when you’re on a flying stopover.
I got confused when I was doing my voice over lol. I used my debit card for all my purchases and just misspoke about the currency. I remembered seeing the different currency sign and forgot it wasn’t the euro. My bad!

So...yeah. And second, your mom and dad will be so proud of this new trip. It's exciting, fun and the adventure with a smile on your face. So, good luck, godspeed, and I love you very, very much.😊😀😙💙💙💙💙💙💙🇺🇸🛫🇬🇧🌷💖💖💖💖💖💖🛫💖💖😊🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇👍. And one more thing, the London Bridge 6:28, that's where the Spice Girls movie was filmed there. Fun and wonderful!😊😍😍😍😍😍😍👍
It was a cool layover for sure!
@@hannahsims3799 Yeah!😊😀😀😍👍. Did you enjoy watching the London Bridge? It's big and beautiful!😍💙💙💙💙💙💙💙👍
Hannah, how comfy are those rest break capsules that I've heard about for you guys?
Confortable enough to take a nap. They are a little hard, but we usually put extra blankets on them to soften them up a little.
I just found you. Loved your London video. I look forward to seeing more of your videos and finding previous ones. I used to work for AA. Thank you. 🌹
Thank you!
nice one
Is there no longer a requirement for hair to be pulled up or can fa's wear it done while in service?
I live 10mins drive from Heathrow Airport glad you saw. Tower of London my brother was in the welsh guards nd oftern was on guard for over 7hrs just standing there I don't talk much cos he died in Iraq war when I was 12 but got so many photos of him trooping the colour for th royal family
Im sorry to hear that. But what a neat thing your brother was able to do!
@hannahsims3799 Thanks my lovely
Why dont you just say you work for American Airlines, its on your name badge? Nice video glad you enjoyed my home city. ;o)
Glad you had a good trip. Now you need to go to Munich to make up for the disaster the last time you tried to go 😅
I know! That one I’ve been keeping my eye out for but it’s a little harder to get. Hopefully soon!
Just stumbled across your channel. Looks good. Not flown through London in a while. Do they really now have American TSA security staff in the UK? Seems strange. They never used to. I assume only for American flights. I thought our UK security was strict enough.
No, not TSA! They are LHR security staff… But Hannah probably thinks all security staff are TSA… 😊
I was just referring to the workers that would be like tsa at an airport. I didn’t realize there were different names for them lol
@@hannahsims3799 Yeah, that’s what I thought! I get it. 👀👍
Oh the joys of being a Long haul Stewardess………..hope you got some decent sleep and enjoyed your trip in london ! ❤
PUSHING YOUR HEART RHYTHMS FOR HOURS LIKE THIS EVEN THOUGH YOU SAY YOU HAVE ALOT OF ENERGY IS NOT GOOD FOR YOU HEART
Im sure it’s not, but at least I had a good time!
Looking to join AA, prior B6 FA. I am out of GSO. How long did it take to hold CLT?
Hannahs gorgeous!! 🥰
Thank you!
OMG you seem such a friendly crew member for AA. I flew with them from JFK to LHR a couple of years ago this particular crew was one of them that’s been there since forever and was so miserable and rude I thought why work there and be rude and miserable if you don’t like it
Loved this video ❤ there's no way that black book thing is legal. It needs looked into.
Great video! Any tips for flight anxiety?
Let your flight attendants know when you get on board that you get a little anxious when you fly. Most will come and check on you throughout the flight to make sure you’re doing okay! If turbulence is part of your uneasiness pick a seat toward the front of the aircraft. It’s usually a lot less bumpy in the front than the back.
@@hannahsims3799 awesome thank you so much! I’m going to take Dramamine too lol
Looks like a BA uniform?
Yes I would love to be able to do that! Any suggestions of things to do there?
Being a Brit I was surprised that you were using Euros as our currency is Pounds Sterling. Perhaps its a facility for European tourists ?
How did you get the trip-crew meals ?
They are provided for us on transatlantic flights with catering.
You didn't pay 35Euros to get into the Tower. We don't use Euro currency in the UK
I got confused when I was doing my voice over lol. I used my debit card for all my purchases and just misspoke about the currency. I remembered seeing the different currency sign and forgot it wasn’t the euro. My bad!
We used pounds not euros 👀
