@@Amanda_kingxxIf I become a cabin crew, will all my coworkers be as charming and beautiful as you? I was seriously depressed for days when I saw your vlog with your partner/bf
It's not easy to get in, I tried 3 times and got rejected 3 times as well. You have nothing to lose just give it a shot, maybe you'll have better luck than I did...
Heathrow Express is a tourist trap! Elizabeth Line or Undergound. The Elizbaeth Line goes directly to Paddington too, just 10 minutes slower but a quarter of the price.
@@alexsokolov5407 As a british citizen, you are right indeed. Taxis are too expensive here, and comparing the size and time, Elizabeth line is worth the price.
Now this is the first ever cabin crew vlog I have watched & it was awesome!!! While watching and listening to your commentary I realised just how hectic the hours must be. On top of that filming for various social media platforms just makes me appreciate the effort even more. Not mundane neither too flashy just the perfect harmony Great job!!! 🍔👍🏻
I appreciate this so much!! I think a lot of people don’t take into account how much time and energy it takes to manage social media content on top of flying full time! ❤
If you show your ID pass to the bus driver it's £1.20 each way on the bus, from the hotel to the terminal. If you approach a member of the Heathrow Express staff in T5, they will sell you a return journey on the Heathrow express at 75% discount. This is airline staff rate discount applicable to all airline staff. You can get from the hotel to Paddington (Central London) for less than £14.00
I think cabin crews are awesome Amanda they're some of my most favourite people on the planet I've had amazing experiences with them because of my autism they've treated me really nice I view them as superheroes thank you for everything you do
Dear Amanda, I‘ve never watched a vlog like yours before. It was so interesting! You seem like such a kind and down to earth person (when you are not up in the air). Thank you for sharing your life with us. And I love that you tasted all these vegan foods. Stay safe on your trips and take care!

If you want to go to a Christmas market in Germany I have some tips for you: 1) wait until it is dark. At daylight the mood is not right 2) if you can, Pick a day where it is cold. Glühwein does not Taste right, when it is too warm. If you like the cup in which the Glühwein is served, you can take it home 3) wear some REALLY WARM clothes (hat, gloves, scharf, warm trousers, shoes with warm Inlays, warm jacket) and maybe take a warm footbath or shower afterwards. It is really easy to catch a cold there 4) do not go at the weekend if you like being able to move freely 5) Pick one in the old part of town. For instance the Christmas market in Frankfurt at the Römer is pretty nice. The market in Munich at the Marienplatz is pretty big (and really easy to reach with public transport) but to me something was missing there 6) take Cash. Most vendors do not accept debit or Credit cards for smaller purchases 7) imo some of the smaller Christmas markets are actually better, but they are difficult to reach without a car
As an Indian last year I’ve been to London to its an EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! your so lucky you’ve been there I’m back here and I miss it now 😢 and happy journey amanda!😊
Top tip for next time - avoid wasting money on the Heathrow express. It’s the biggest con ever! Just use a contactless card to get the Elizabeth line (and it will go towards your daily travel cap)!
Ahhhh see some of the other crew did the Elizabeth line, but I swear it said it took soo much longer so I wanted to really try and make the most of my time 😭
In New Zealand we refer to those bath / shower setups a shub (a mix of the words ‘shower’ and ‘tub’) and yes, they are so silly! I think maybe in the 70’s and 80’s they were a thing, but we’d never put one in in 2024! 😆
Common in the US, and something I never questioned. But after a year of challenges with my balance, I totally agree that taking a shower on a flat floor makes much more sense.
I truly love your channel. Keep doing the best work. I’ve never witnessed such awesome editing as this one. I love your channel. You are my favourite flight attendant of all time.Wishing to meet you oneday 😊
Tips from a crew to another crew. You can take Elizabeth line from Hayes& harlington straight to city center. Much cheaper and fast also. But if you going to use Heathrow express again. Tell the heathrow express staff that you are crew/airport staff. They ll asked you to show the ID, and they ll let you buy ticket with a huge discount.
If you're staying on the Bath Road, you can also get the "normal" red double decker bus to the airport, its cheaper than the direct shuttle buses but doesnt really take much longer. And the Elizabeth line is definitely better than the heathrow express - direct to central london, not much slower to paddington than the heathrow express but far far cheaper
I came across your channel looking for information for my upcoming London trip, but I subscribed because I really like the way you vlog. You are informative and I enjoyed your content in this, so I am off to look at what else you have!
Trust me i enjoyed this whole vlog. U are a pro vlogger. I had zero minute to watch cz i was so sleeply but you made me watch the whole video. Keep it up girl. And BTW welcome to England😍🫶🏼
4:33 I understand your point, but as a touring musician for over 35 years, I enjoy a shower/bath. The reason being is that I love baths and will even take my own Ajax cleanser and scouring pad with me, to do so. I’d certainly never take a bath in a tub I myself haven’t scrubbed clean to perfection!
If you ever go to London again a much cheaper option is to just get the underground - there's usually always a public bus that will take you to the nearest one for £1.75, and also the Elizabeth line is much cheaper than heathrow express and takes about 5-10 minutes more. The underground also takes you directly to central london - leicester square etc!
Thank you!! I would actually go back in a heart beat! I think it’s mostly disliked because of how tough the flight time is and where the hotel is to be able to go into the city to explore after being so exhausted 😥
Showers in baths are pretty common in UK, due to the size of the houses, where space is limited. It's a cultural thing but silly for new hotels to do. Don't use the Heathrow Express, just use Elizabeth Line, faster than Piccadilly Line, but cheaper than HEX. Although as crew, time is critical so can't blame you for using it. 9:47 - that's Buckingham Palace, not Kensington Palace ;) Kensington is at the Western end of Hyde Park. The King & Queen actually live in Clarence House, which is 1/4 of the way down The Mall (the famous road with flags leading up to Buckingham Palace). It's also right next to St James' Palace - which is where the Accession Council announced King Charles. There are LOADS of FREE viewing platforms around London, especially further to the east. The Shard, Horizon 22 (which despite the building being a little bit shorter than the Shard, the viewing platform is higher). Something to think about when you come back next time!
Thanks so much for such a detailed comment 😍 this is so awesome! I’ve heard it’s common for shower baths in the UK, I actually have one in my apartment in Dubai! I think that’s why I’m sick of them 😂 I’ll be changing my travel plans for next time I’m in London and using the Elizabeth line and checking out these platforms! Thanks again for all the insight and tips 🫶
Wow ! You did so much in London in such a short time ! Well done Amanda. I have flown to the UK twice with Emirates from NZ. I loved the professional Crew, but the Long flight from AKL to DBX was so tiring in Economy. But I would definitely do it all again ❤UAE !
Next time you are in the UK Amanda, look for anything called Quorn in the supermarkets. This is a range of vegan and vegetarian foods, which you can use in the same way as eg minced beef and diced chicken. They do burgers and sausages etc as well. I always buy the Quorn Roast for my Christmas dinner. Also Linda McCartney does some great options. I love their sausages, although some people are not keen and they can go a bit hard if you don't cook them in the right way. You can find all this in the freezer and chilled cabinets. The bigger the supermarket, the better the choice.
Love the ending!! ❤❤ you're so cute, and your content is honestly the best I've seen, so professionally done and interesting to watch , you are really talented!
I’m a Brit and whilst I like a swift shower in the morning, there is nothing like a long soak in a warm bath in the evening if your muscles are aching, or you feel a chill/ cold/ flu coming on - so I like both. But do agree, separate bath and shower is best due to the slip hazard in the bath.
New here. Enjoy flight attendant videos. When I graduated high school, my options were becoming a registered nurse or be a flight attendant (United Airlines tried to recruit me during my senior year), but for my parents sake (they were worried), I chose the medical field. While I don't regret it, I envy those traveling the world. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe ✈️ ❤
I agree with you Amanda- I too dislike bath showers in a hotel room it's a bit old fashion! And I also like a mini fridge in my hotel room! Keep posting your videos I am a big fan!
G’Day Amanda 🎉 This is the best Emirates cabin crew I’ve ever seen in my life. Well done, sweetie. I’m really happy to see such a positive person flying the world. Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I appreciate this so much! Where ever my future may lead, I’ll keep the same positivity and love for what I do and this amazing thing we get to call life ❤
G'day mate. Yeah good stuff! Use an Oyster card or your phone on the tube. Oyster daily cap charge is £8.10 in zones 1 and 2. That was 'Buck House', (as we Aussies call it) aka Buckingham Palace. Kensington Palace is a different one. Enjoy the cold weather we have here in Pommie Land!😄
Oh man I wish I knew all this stuff before my expensive trip! But next time! Also thank you for picking up on it, I honestly can’t believe I messed that up 😂 I totally knew it was Buckingham palace but voice over Amanda was having a moment 😅
Hi. First time viewer. You say how expensive London travel is but I notice you took the Heathrow express train to paddington. This is one of the world most expensive trains per mile. Better options include the tube or elizabeth line from heathrow terminals. Also should be noted that taking the tube would have capped your daily costs. You also took the airport shuttle. Again the most expensive option. I presume your hotel was located on bath road. In which case there's red bus stops there that cost £1.75 to Heathrow Airport. Just some tips if you are on a budget.
Hello, great video love it! I‘m also Cabin Crew and I have a little hint for you about the Heathrow Express: Before you get to the train there is a stand where they sell the tickets. If you show them your Crew ID a ticket only costs 10 dollar. :)
I searched for emirates pilot day in the life can't find it but now watching your video. Love it! I dream to be a pilot at emirates, and I don't know if my father would allow me to study for it because I am an Indian and in India Kerala there is no university that provides the studies for Boeing and airbus.
New sub here, I have used Emirates before but never understood what flight attendant goes through. When i was younger i wanted to be a flight attendant but by the time i was done with highschool priorities changed and I decided to join the military and ended. in healthcare. Thanks for sharing
Looks like you really enjoyed London, for sure a place i'd like to see. Really nice video to be honest. Everything was put together really well to make this video. When I see crew vlogs, It inspires me.
Great video. London is winter is pretty grim but if you can visit in summer, on a nice day its one of the best cities in the world. Why don't Emirates crew like flying to London??
I will definitely be coming back in the summer! Heat is more my style! 💪🏼 I think it’s mostly because the flights are always full and at crazy times, and then the hotel is so far out of the city it’s hard to be motivated to go out on the layover 🥲
The Emirates cabin crew have their own great unique style - Pristine, Very Smart, Very Elegant. Did your London tour live up to all expectations ? Central London is far to busy and far to expensive for my liking, that said .. my partner and myself have had some great days and Weekends in London. Thank you for giving a brief insight of the Emirates cabin crew. 🇬🇧
I lived in the UK for 10 years & majority of the houses have the shower over a bath-mainly due to not much room-also a lot of the older houses only have hand set showers
It’s really great honestly! Here’s the link 😍 (screenshot and copy and paste if you can’t click on it) www.amazon.com/shop/amandaking/list/1YFJR4VJHA99M?ref_=cm_sw_r_mwn_aipsflist_aipsfamandaking_27YK7H211RB18KCJP55Y&language=en_US
tub shower combos are quite common here in the states. I did almost break my arm throwing myself out of one as a child but there was a spider. Otherwise they're fine.
Bravo👍! The editing, music, nitty gritty details and honest opinions. Wonderful vlog. Thanks Amanda! …….. 👉Advice from a London tourist, pay contactless for the tube using the same device (like Apple Pay), or Oyster card to benefit from daily caps. From Heathrow’s Liz line to central London will be enough to cap the rest of your travel for the day on the tube🤘 (excluding that ripoff express, which doesn’t add to the cap).
Thanks so much for the love on the video! I do put a lot of effort in to every part of it 🥺❤ I’ve actually heard this! I guess these are the trials and errors of travelling! Next time I’m in London I’ll be using this advice for sure 🫶
Next time you visit London be sure to try Neat Burgers (they don’t only do burgers, the salads are good too) and Mildred’s is great for vegan food too! ❤
a really great vlog amanda and i’m glad you’ve came to my country 🇬🇧! I work at one of emirates’ route’s ‘Birmingham (BHX)’ and i always love working with the emirates flights. I can’t lie whenever i speak to emirates crew i do always ask about you and if you’re on the flight.
This is so sweet! I’ve never been to Birmingham! Maybe someday in the future! Appreciate the love and supported all the way from your awesome country! 🇬🇧
Shower baths very common in Uk, always spent childhood and growing up with them! I never knew any different until I went to Dubai and saw they're separate. Also first time seeing a lavatory with a shower head to the side. Many bathroom differences In the UAE.
You know what’s crazy! I actually have a shower bath in my apartment here in Dubai 😅 maybe that’s why I don’t like them! I feel like I’m gonna slip every time I shower 🥲
I’m so confused about how you manage not to get lost! How do you search for places and plan your travels? You seem so confident traveling to other countries even if you’re not familiar with them. How do you do all that?
I live and work in Manchester England and quite regularly I see staff of one of your rival airlines from the same part of the world as I walk across the city... "Enjoying" the Manchester weather while waiting for the bus back to the airport, I always feel so bad for them, because heavy coat withstanding... and they all look quite lovely in them... They really don't seem to be enjoying the experience much!!
The tube is 20 mins slower but only costs 5.50 each way. Taking you exactly where you need to be in Central London. Heathrow Express is very expensive as expected.
Dublin is not in the UK. It’s a different country. Showers over baths are very common in both hotels and homes. It’s perfectly normal to have a bath in a bath with a shower over.
If you ever end up in Seattle, Washington in the United States, there’s a really good vegan donut place called dough joy that’s really popular among the locals!
How do you know everything when you go to every country?? I’m 20 years old and my dream is to work for emirates. It just scares me the idea of getting lost or not knowing what to do or having social anxiety. How do you know what buses to take, what trains to use, the roads, the ways, the places, how to get back?? I have so many questions. That’s the only thing that scares me. Do you use the country’s currency in cash every time or your card? Do you make calls or have wifi when in another country? How do you know what you’re going to do in such a short period of time? Do you use a credit or debit card? Do you pay for making international calls? I know my questions are very detailed but it’s the little things that I usually overthink about that scare me, do you drive sometimes and how do you rent a car in such a short period of time? I’m sorry if this is long but it just makes me so anxious as I’ve never traveled by myself before, non the less as a cabin crew with responsibilities and time responsibilities. I would love if you dedicate a whole video on those little things as you don’t find much videos of flight attendants on these things. Please if you can I would appreciate it:)
Unless you are travelling around Paddington absokutekey ni need for the Heathrow Express. Lizzie Line much cheaper and goes through London you can be at Bond Street Tottenham Court Road quicker than you woukd in the HExpress then tubing.
The just natural and spontaneous way she promotes being vegan is the icing of the cake of such great personality. I love 😍

These are great tips! Thanks so much! I definitely made it an expensive trip by not doing my research 🥲
this video is gorgeous!! Thank you very much for sharing all moments and such great explanations
Thank you so much for the love and support! So glad you loved it all ❤
As crew, you can get discount on Heathrow Express, just carry your ID. And it’s 9.xx GBP round trip.
Hello, great video love it! I‘m also Cabin Crew and I have a little hint for you about the Heathrow Express: Before you get to the train there is a stand where they sell the tickets. If you show them your Crew ID a ticket only costs 10 dollar. :)
Thank you so much for the love and the tips! I’ll be using this next time I’m in London ❤
Well-crafted video, Amanda. Surprised that London isn't a more popular layover with the Emirates crews.
Use your staff ID, then you have 75% discount on Heathrow Express. Greetings from Polish Airlines crew 😉
This is crazy stuff! Literally how do anyone of us not know this 😭
You have to have ID with you and buy ticket by app (not by machine on terminal)😅
We know 😅😂 @@Amanda_kingxx

I’m so glad you liked it! London was very cool and would definitely recommend 🫶 thank you for the support! I hope you follow those aspirations 😍
Next time you come to the UK, if you have time, come to Cambridge or Birmingham for more crowds - but you must try Greggs' vegan sausage roll!!
Shower baths are perfect in my opinion (I'm from uk) I love showers and my OH loves baths. We get the best of both lol x
I do agree that they are a genius invention when you think about it! 🫶
Luckily I found the best flight attendant you tube channel😍honestly the video was 10/10
Thanks so much for the love and support 😍
Tip: next time take the tube /underground from Heathrow rather than Heathrow express, much cheaper and quicker.
🇬🇧
In Canada we have shower baths. That wasn't Kensington Palace that was Buckingham Palace.. In London I had fish and chips.
WOW what a great video. First time viewer but I'm subscribed now. Thanks for taking us along on this wonderful journey! Travel safe my friend
Thanks so much for the kind words and support! 🫶
I lived in the UK for 10 years & majority of the houses have the shower over a bath-mainly due to not much room-also a lot of the older houses only have hand set showers
Amanda can you please give link for the makeup pouch that you use? I’m in love I swear!! I’d love to get one for myself, it’s looks so convenient
It’s really great honestly! Here’s the link 😍 (screenshot and copy and paste if you can’t click on it)

Superb video..ur very well organized ,neat & efficient!! Keep up the smooth vlogs!
I used to work as a ticketing staff in Lahore and Ajman in Emirates. You reminded me of my beautiful Emirates Airlines uniform. Means how we Care.
Glad I could bring back such lovely memories! 🫶 thank you for the love and support as well!
U SO LUCKY. LOVE PILOTS IN UNIFORM :)) THEY LOOK SOOOO YUMMMYYYY
Next time your in London, Go to Michael Rose Jewelers. Very fancy but I’m sure you’d love it! I go every time. ❤
An exciting vlog darling! 🤩❤️❤️ Waiting for the latest ones! 🥰🧡💛💜️
Interesting 🤨 honestly you did a good video on your layover .. you make me miss London 😘😘😘😘😘
Thanks so much! It was a fun first time in London! I’m sure I’ll be going back
tub shower combos are quite common here in the states. I did almost break my arm throwing myself out of one as a child but there was a spider. Otherwise they're fine.
Heyy amanda! Love to see ur vlogs please can u make a video on ur skincare and what products do u used for it..❤️
Absolutely I can! I’ll get one out soon ❤
It’s not about what your saying,it’s soooooo much more about what your NOT saying
I do put a lot of effort in to every part of it 🥺❤
I’ve actually heard this! I guess these are the trials and errors of travelling! Next time I’m in London I’ll be using this advice for sure 🫶
Subscribed after this video, I love your content!
Such a fun video! So happy to have discovered your channel.
Next time you visit London be sure to try Neat Burgers (they don’t only do burgers, the salads are good too) and Mildred’s is great for vegan food too! ❤
I actually just tried this in Dubai!!! It’s amazing!!!
@@Amanda_kingxx So pleased you liked it! 💕
a really great vlog amanda and i’m glad you’ve came to my country 🇬🇧!
Why did you get the Heathrow Express? you could have just got the London Underground for a fraction of the price!!
Learnt from this mistake! Next time for sure 💪🏼
Out of curiosity, why is London hated so much? I thought it was a flagship route that crew would want to bid for?
Yeah I wonder too as it's a city most folk want to visit.
It’s because it’s a very busy flight. People get drunk quite easily and won’t stop asking for G&T
Im going to be a pilot for emirates, so see you soon 😂🫡
You’re so so beautiful !Thanks for your video! I also want to become a cabin crew! I will keep going!
Thank you so much for the love and support 🥺 keep chasing those dreams! I’ll see you in the sky’s soon ✈️
Love ur videos !!
Providing interesting and wanted info
I look forward for ur vlogs!!
Keep it up 👍👌⭐️
I love your vlogs sm ❤❤❤
Thanks so much ❤
Shower baths very common in Uk, always spent childhood and growing up with them!
Great video vlog, dear. Hopefully you will hit 100K immediately ❤
Thank you so much 🥺
One of a kind video..Enjoyed every second.🙂
Thanks so much for the support! 🫶
Well done. Great little showcase for your 1st time to London.
You gain a new subscriber here !!!! Love it ❤
Thanks so much 😍
You said your next stop was Kensington Palace but showed Buckingham Palace. Did you get them mixed up?
Next time I’ll be a lot smarter for sure 😂
Dublin is not in the UK. It’s a different country. Showers over baths are very common in both hotels and homes. It’s perfectly normal to have a bath in a bath with a shower over.
If you ever end up in Seattle, Washington in the United States, there’s a really good vegan donut place called dough joy that’s really popular among the locals!
Pinning this on my Google maps as we speak 😍
Pro tip - get the elizabeth line into central london, it is cheaper, yet takes roughly the same time.
Ahhh some of the other crew took this one! But I heard it took way longer so I didn’t wanna waste time 😭
How do you know everything when you go to every country??
Next time consider Elisabeth Line and get to Bond Street tube station, central London , cheaper providing it’s running,
From working in a hotel, families would sometimes want the shower baths because their young kids take baths !
Your vlog is very fabulous ❤
Thanks so much Reman! 🫶
This is the best ever, you did a great job. I hope to fly Emirates A380 one day soon. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much! Keep chasing and I’ll see you in the sky’s soon 🫶
if you don’t like london, can’t you transfer to triple 7 crew. Surely Gatwick is a decent layover. you have brighton nearby.
We all fly on the 777 and a380, it’s just luck of the draw which airport/destination you get! And sadly all the layovers in the UK are 24 hours 😅
Fantastic and most interesting vlog. Thanks so much. What a lovely person. I wish you every happiness.
Thanks so much for the love and support! Wishing you the same happiness 🫶
Unless you are travelling around Paddington absokutekey ni need for the Heathrow Express. Lizzie Line much cheaper and goes through London you can be at Bond Street Tottenham Court Road quicker than you woukd in the HExpress then tubing.
Love you travel vlogs !! ❤
