Auditioning is an actor’s ‘everyday’ work and the most common way to secure them a ‘JOB’.
In this ep we talk all things auditions and how to be best prepared for this inescapable way of securing and maintaining a career in the acting industry. It’s crucial that all actors get to establish a healthy relationship with auditions. Your livelihood may just depend on it.
Towards the end of this episode I have also included how to shoot a selftape which has become one of the most used methods for actors to audition instead of live auditions, its necessary that one masters this too.

hey Siks , i hope you are good , my question is if it’s still advisable to have a friend to help you with lines even if the production asked for a monologue ? TIA

Hi Khanya, I’m well thank you, I hope you are too.
The friend can only help in making sure you’re ready and maybe help you shoot it but there’s no need for them to read anything when it’s a monologue. You only need a friend to read(all happening off camera) when it’s a dialogue scene.
