Very similar cleaning procedure as I do. I remove the body and wheels and toss those in the sink to rinse them last. Then I take my airbrush with air-compressor to remove any dirt from the chassis and a hairdryer to dry up all the moisture. And maybe take a paper towel and some q-tips in some of the tiny crevices to be sure. Then I grease up any mechanical bits with a white lithium grease which is water repellent. Then I just clean the body and wheels under tap with an old dish washing brush if needed.
The crawler look good and performed well. I think the area you use to test your crawlers may be as close to perfect as possible. You have amazing rocks, water and mud. I realize at different times of the year there is possible less mud and water. I enjoyed your test run and clean up tips.
I dare say that you ARE the only one that cares about interiors, definitely the only one I've heard mention it. But what do I know, I've only been in the hobby for... (counting on my fingers)... 22 years? Everybody has their gripes though.
Hey T. Here is a quick and cleaner lubricating tip. Try using spray graphite. Its an aerosol can but it sprays graphite which is a dry material. so it has fantastic lubrication qualities and its dry and easy to apply so not as messy.
@@thatcarguyldnstreets there is a graphite that is powder or spray that drys like powder. It’s not the easiest to apply but doesn’t tack and hold dirt.
So I've got some pretty small hands too, I have found sticking a wpl v3 tire on the radio wheel helps with the reach! You have to stretch it on so it stays pretty good! Just a thought
I had a 1/10 ftx texan, i loved it, i lengthened the wheelbase, and although it crawled/climbed better, it was so much fun to trail drive on tge stick short wheelbase
Fantastic video as always! I love my rc4wd short wheelbase trucks- might need to add one of these to the fleet. Just needs an interior and inner fenders!
4:02 I hate the tiny little pins as well. Have since all the way back to my very first R/C in 1980 the tamiya rough rider. I just picked up one of those little hoonigan 1/24 drift trucks and the pins on that thing are micro freaking scopic......
I own a samurai so I plan on getting one of these, I am one of the people kinda bothered by its scale but that mostly has to do with me owning a RC4WD Trail finder 2 85 4Runner as my main crawler so I like to keep everything around its scale. I used to own a 85 4runner as my daily driver before losing it in a fire last year so owning it in RC makes me happy, so I deff want to get this to match my full size sammy
The sticker of the woman is Arnies disguise in the original Total recall film when he sneaks through the mars customs checkpoint ( no clue why it’s on the sticker sheet though!).
Element is my go tocrawler brand, I own a few different brands but for some reason I have accumulated more elements, the bushido is one I still don't have, maybe that changes soon
Awesome video and pretty cool rig! I agree that manufacturers should be featuring inner fenders and clipless body mounting. It's 2023, and there's no reason for such outdated methods of body mounting.
Another great smaller scale crawler. Element certainly make great cars. And we have something in common, hating stupid body pins!! I either swap them out of the Arrma type, with the rubber straps, but they don't look great, or bend the loop part of the pin up a bit, so I can get my sausage fingers in and pull the stupid things off!! 😆
I haven't had much luck with those receivers and a splash of water. I'm assuming that box is very well sealed. Our Trailrunner was not so lucky. Always a good upgrade to a WP1080!
I just seal up the receiver box with some silicone sealant for use in aquariums just to be sure. Just put a bit around any place water could possibly get in, like holes and the edge of the lid. The sealant isn't an adhesive but will seal it up nicely so you can still easily take it apart. Just be sure to seal it up again when taking it apart. It might not look great, but it works a treat.
The one thing I'm not a fan of is getting foams dried out. I used to leave wheels sealed up, but performance suffers. Dual stage foams are way to expensive to let them go bad....however vented tires, chucked in a drill at high speed....most of the water comes out. But when I have certain wheels on, water just is not allowed. Not going to trash 50$ steel wheels and 40$ worth of dual stage foam to play in a puddle. Heck I really don't even like sticking most trucks in any mud at all, yes electronics are waterproof, but bearings get expensive after a while.
Hi, you can make a video from bushido 12, i thinck is a good scale for a rc, and can give some upgrade fir this...i want buy it, but i don't sure ....thanks
Really like your videos, you are really talking nice understandable with nice laugh, we can hear you are enjoying your hobby 100% thats why im a subber to you! - BUT for cleaning you could use a painting pensel either round or flat, just to get the hard spots clean aswell, try it out u not regret it, i use it on my pc all the time to remove dust :)
you're lucky i put my trailrunner in the snow got the esc wet and it let all the smoke out after two outings. i contacted AE and they its is water resistant not waterproof... i bought a spektrum 2in1 brushless and i have my trailrunner underwater more times then above water havent had an issue since. some get lucky i guess.
I have the RGT and I just don't think the Bushido compares. 200 bucks or less for the RGT and its really nice. It's barely more money then the micro crawlers and is way better than those too.
Cheers for showing the clean down process Phil. Looks like a great crawler dude!
Thanks mate. Appreciate it
@@TomleyRC There are scammers sending messages again fyi. (telegram etc)
Great vid, really appreciate the little cleaning tip bit.
No problem 👍
I really appreciate the definition. I’ve always considered RC as “pet like” and this is a loyal dog, little short base bulldog.
Great vid!!! The wheels are beadlocks. Just remove the six lugs and they come apart. The nice thing is they will work with SLW hexes. 🤘🤘🤘
BUSHIDO! some nice shot's in that video.
Thanks mate
Good to see your cleaning process as well!
Yes, thought I’d add it… people always ask

It’s perfect for all sorts of testing. I’m glad I found it a few years back!
@TomleyRC what's the quarry you go to near lincoln?
Bushido!!
Awesome dude... Your vids are getting better and better 🤩 cheers man 👊🏻

Love those slo-mo shots!
😎👌
Now I'm not a crawler or trail truck guy but this thing's a beast! Might have to get one of these!
Love the little tip on cleaning there at the end. Such an awesome looking truck, hopefully one day I can get a scale trail/crawler RC.
Thanks mate

Or dry lube, initially a spray and liquid it crawls into every crack and then dries. I use the one I bought for my mountainbike chain.
@@DreiviertelYou won’t get the same results, dry lube is just WD40 and it makes a mess

Nice review Phil. Element does it again.
hahahaha the link in description, brilliant
love the vid btw looks like a great lil car
To stop the body from rattling about I usually put some loom bands around the body posts for it to sit on and that stops it.
I like the clean down process. Good vid.
Omg, that pet dryer is such a great tool for cleaning cars. Why is this the first time I see somebody using that?

Gassing up just about over an hour ago, I saw a mini Suzuki!
Miss those little joints.
Tomley rc is my favourite‼️👍👍🦾🦾
Another cracking video and I shall be venturing more into the mud this year thanks to your great tips & tools. 😊
My first crawler kit was the Axial UMG10 a couple years back... Can't beat that SWB manoeuvrability on tight trails.👍 AND it has an interior!😉
Top, big like from France 🇫🇷
Merci

Brilliant looking rig but at that price point definitely should come with interior and inner wings but still a fantastic review as always 👍🏻

Nice video 👍 I use a cheap air pump (bought for my kids paddling pool) to dry off my RC, works a treat 👍
Yes. Lots of options… the Pet Dryer is a game changer for me on the winter 🤩
Great video. Thx for the content!
I recommend a brushless hairdryer to dry it. They have some serious punch.

Servo upgrades are a must for most RTR’s
@@TomleyRC Yep just replaced the servo on my Kraton 6s too, oh and shock mounts lol. Did you find fenders to fit the enduro ever? Looking myself
If you cut some pieces from a foam egg crate I think you could improvise some inner fenders.
Hi, what is the grease called that you used after cleaning
what i do is put hotglue inside the receiver case and that water proofes it
This one has a rubber seal on it… so should be good 👌

Aside from lithium grease in the sealed parts, I actually use M-Pro 7 gun oil for everything that's exposed.
Usually MTB/Bike wet oil

Put tape over the holes of your rims when going off road.
How much did the bushido it cost?
Not a big fan of the body on this one but swap that out for a VW Bug body or something and it would be amazing.
Definitely a pretty capable build.
Use little zip ties on the body pin so you can pull out easier
BUSHIDO!
Yeah at $399.99 + shipping USD it should have an interior and inner fenders for sure....it's $100 more than the sendero.
Yeah… inner fenders at the very least
Shorter chassis and greater height means it will tip over easier.
