"Honourable Judge Sir" should be used, this I believe. Here the name is taken with Respect n sounds good too.... this is my personal opinion. We say Honourable Supreme Court, High Court n All courts so Court is too as Equal to Place of Worship so this way too we Can Give Respect to Honourable Judges... 🕉️⚖️🙏
Court is not under any religion

Pranaam Sir ji bhot hi umda sir ji isi trah se hmara sadev margdarshan karte rahiye aur hmare sath bne rhe और सर जी मेरा मानना तो यह है कि किसी भी कोर्ट के न्यायधीशों को किसी भी बडे सम्मान पूर्वक शब्दों से ही संबोधित करना चाहिए मी लोर्ड या माई लोर्ड आदि शब्द ईश्वरीय शक्ति को संबोधित शब्द है सुप्रीम कोर्ट एक है मुख्य न्यायाधीश जी एक है पर अन्य न्यायधीशों की संख्या अधिक है तब इन सभी शब्दों का प्रयोग करना करना उचित नहीं यह सत्य है कि जिस तरह से संपूर्ण संसार ईश्वर के अधीन है उसी तरह से न्यायधीशों को इन शब्दों से संबोधित करने से गुलामी का भाव वास्तव में ही उत्पन्न होता है जबकि वर्तमान समय में लगभग सभी देश पृजातांत्रिक है तब इस स्थिति में इन शब्दों से संबोधित करना उचित नहीं है अन्य बहुत से शब्द है और शब्दों के साथ ही साथ आचरण से भी हाव भाव से भी सम्मान व्यक्त किया जा सकता है

Many times we have seen that Judge's have been dismissed the petition of Advocates (like: CJI Bobde ji) regarding questions from the honourable Judge's themselves that what to say in the Courts to give an honour to the Judge's.
Instead of advising the better suggestion to honour them in courts by the Judge's, they leftover such topics among the Advocates for the debates and duality and when Advocates use the same given honour like: Your honour, My loard then the honourable Judge's gets aggravated.
Also BCI should again think about such topic and mutually take decision in favour of Advocates.
"Hounarable sir" is more respectfull word for every court 🙏🙏in my view

There should be some inspiring and motivational word used to address (remind) the judges to be neutral with the best of his grasping capacity and ability as well as his or her legal knowledge and experiences with best comprehensive and justifiable decision for the trials to ensure justice at any practical and cognitive cost.
Sir, your address was really insightful. Thank you. But I have a doubt. I fail to understand that how addressing a SC judge as 'your honor' incorrect. Can you please put some light on this aspect?
The 2014 petition was rejected by the Bench consisting of SA Bobde himself. While rejecting the aforementioned petition, it was mentioned that it is ok if you address as 'your honor'. Then what changed in Aug 2020 and on 23rd Feb 2021?
How is 'your honor' an incorrect terminology?

My personal view is that courts must be addressed as " Sir" or " Madam" only.
Sycophancical addresses embarrass the Court as well as the Advovcate.

सर , हम भारत के नागरिक हैं और हमारी मातृभाषा हिंदी है हमें हिंदी को प्राथमिकता देनी चाहिए मेरा आपसे सुझाव है कि कोर्ट में जजों को माननीय न्यायालय(Honourable court) से संबोधित करना चाहिए कारण यह कि "न्यायालय" भी एक कृत्रिम व्यक्ति होता है, प्राकृत व्यक्ति न्यायाधीश होता है, इस संबोधन से कोर्ट का सम्मान करने से न्यायाधीश का भी सम्मान होता है।

There should be some respectful common phrases like Your Honour,Honourable Court,Sir, Mam and My Lord to address the honourable judges of S C, H C, District Judges.We should use the sweet sounding words of a language.
Some judges don't like "MY LORD", some don't like "MY HONOUR ".
That's why there is need to invent a new term to respect judges. Pls give your suggestions according to me it should be " RESPECTED SIR" can be used.

You have explained it nicely. Thank you very much. I personally do not find any thing wrong with this word "Your Honour". We are addressing the Court with this word, not the Judge personally. Why should Judge get angry with it? When someone orders not to address the Judge or Court by that word, it's his responsibility to tell by what name he or the Court should be addressed. Otherwise, it will keep the lawyers that too Junior Lawyers in dark. Also, it will not only demotivate the Junior Lawyers but bring down their confidence level. If "Your Honour" is the US' practice, what's Indian practice then? Judge saab jara batha do.
