People often think that there is so much bad going around and feel why does God just sit and do nothing about it? People see suffering in this world, and then wonder if there is a God why doesn't he finish the suffering that exists? Pragyan Vaidya an advocate from Ahmadabad, Gujarat asks this question to Swami Mukundananda in this final episode of the question & answer session.
Swamiji answers him and says that time and again people come to him and tells him the same. He gives an example of the 2013's flooding of Uttarakhand and says that the natural calamity has shaken many out of their belief on God, many have turned atheist.
We can make lot of expectations from God. Forget about finishing sufferings, why does not God make one fully knowledgeable? Why does not God release me from the realm of material energy? Why does not he make me a God realized saint? It's within His ability to do so. Swami Mukundananda asks back, "Are these demands that we put on God actually reasonable? Take God out of the picture for a while and consider the government of the country. We have prisoner, now if a prisoner says that it is within purview of the powers of the government to release me, why is the government not releasing me? The government will say it is within our purview and jurisdiction but the question is you take a look at what you deserve. You are in the prison house because that is what you deserve. Similarly God's purview and jurisdiction is infinite. But we should look at what we deserve. It is said that the law of God is- you do not get what you desire but you get what your deserve. We are here in this material realm which is ultimately a place of suffering and here because that is what we deserve. Out of our free choice we made a decision that I wish to turn my back towards God and that choice of ours to turn away from God brought us here in the material realm."
The world is ultimately a place of suffering. It is being created like the prison house of God. It is for souls who have not chosen God but have chosen to go away from God in our consciousness. For eg; if we go to a hospital and say why there is so much a suffering here? Why are people so sick out here, why doesn't the manager do something? The manager will say this hospital is built with the purpose of housing sick and suffering people. Similarly when we look in this material world where materially conditioned souls resides, it is natural that we find suffering. Do not blame God for it. If you want better, you deserve better. How? By turning around towards God, by becoming God conscious. This world is not God's only abode there are many other Divine abodes. Once a soul becomes God conscious and surrenders to Him, God will take the soul out of this material world and transcend him to His other Divine abodes.
Swami Mukundananda who is a foremost disciple of Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharah quotes from The Bhagavad Gita and says that Lord Krishna told Arjun that having gone there once the soul never returns to this place of suffering again that is my (God's) Divine abode. Swamiji further says, "So if we want to see God's creation free from suffering, full of knowledge, full of love, full of bliss; He has His Divine abodes refered as Golok, Saket Lok, Vaikunth Lok, Shiv Lok, Devi Lok, Param Vyom Lok, etc."
Swamiji at the end gives a new twist to the suffering and says that the suffering has purpose. What is the purpose of the suffering? Watch the full answer.

In a hospital we will always find sick people. In this material world, there is always suffering, sorrow, and misery. The purpose of this suffering is to teach us that we are on a wrong path - to correct ourselves, then we will find happiness. The duality of joy and sorrow, victory and defeat is to help us evolve into better human beings!

"We don't get what we desire, we get what we deserve" God's creation is perfect and complete, the problem is in us. We've glaring defects which are to be removed Swamiji beautifully explains "If we wish to see abodes free from suffering and distress, and full of Bliss, we need to perfect our surrender to God and Guru" Christ said " I am the path and I am the way". Thus He stressed the importance of selfless surrender at the feet of Guru and God.

God gives us not what we want, rather what we deserve. The world is God's creation and is perfect therefore. Endeavour to put in your best effort to understand your position in the world and strive to rise above to a state of servitude. Surrender and serve God, and you'll find the world is perfect!

Like Swamiji said, this is a very common question that occurs in the mind of majority of people. Swamiji gave a terrific answer to this question. His answer immediately sinks in my intellect and I develop faith in his answer. What was telling to me, was - we get, in life, what we deserve, not what we desire. We desire things, but we get results according to our actions. Plus, we must remember that this material world is meant to be a place of suffering, so that we can desire the love of God and eventually go to his abode.

Krishna says in the gita, " The living entities in this conditioned world are my eternal fragmental parts " being not of matter but of God we are naturally not going to be happy with our association with this world so your suffering is inevitable but when we develop our Krishna consciousness through the process of devotional service we come to the understanding of our true nature and we come to realize that we suffer because we are like a fish out of water while we are in material world but once we connect with God through devotion we come to realize what our true source is ( God )

Exhaustion of samskaras in this life is what we deserve not what we desire...we try and make as many righteous choices and turn to God in this life to purify the soul and diminish all filth and no tragedy should burden us later on although challenges will still be faced in order to grow, continued efforts to learn, patience and perseverance. Ommm🙏🏻 , Yourself, think and do as if you’d want your own child to be. Don’t live a life of ignorance and intellectual blasphemy. The only good that comes from that is that it teaches how not to be. God has created us perfectly but we make bad choices and allow our urges to take the best of ourselves and now we have to suffer because of our own choices, our conditions....But sufferings are not punishment though, they are things that teach you a lesson so that you grow from them ... Sufferings has to happen so you understand the meaning and feeling...So you become enlightened by it and you gonna be the best version of yourself....For example, let's say you are a poor person, you will suffer by being poor but you will know and realise at the same time, how it feels like to be hungry and not having money to buy food...
You will understand that pain and that suffering...Therefore, one day you get out from that poor life, and you become rich, you will still carry that knowledge with you...If you will walk around and you find some other person who is poor and suffering, that would remind you of your own past...How you used to lead a poor life and you also suffered from hunger....So you will help the person who is suffering in front of your eyes...
But let's say you are a spoiled child...You always lived a life full of comfort and whatever you ask your parents, they give you and you also came from a rich family...You will not care about how others feel...Nor will you understand the suffering of hard work, pain and how poor people feel...
You will mistreat them instead and be arrogant and show off about yourself...because you never have been there to know how it feels like...You never went through hard times and sufferings to know these things...So it makes you prideful and arrogant...And you will not be able to appreciate anything in life but you will tend to take everyone and everything for granted...because you have lived a life far away from sufferings....
Same as Gautama Buddha...When he was a prince, hid father tried his best to keep him away from sufferings...He didn't know what death means, what it means to fall sick etc...He had a life full of comfort, spent his time with beautiful ladies, having fun, living a stress free life...but the day he realises the meaning of sufferings, the meaning of death, he becomes enlightened...His life changes and took a huge turn....From Prince Siddhartha, he became Buddha....A preacher....He chose the path of spirituality....instead of a becoming a King...All this only because of sufferings...
Imagine what would have happened if Gautama Buddha never knew anything about suffering...How would he have been enlightened? How would he have known the true meaning of life? Without sufferings, you would be just like Siddhartha Gautama (when he was still an ignorant prince and knew nothing about the real meaning of life)....

    • @donicamcarthur2500
      @donicamcarthur2500 2 года назад

Why can’t we know the real meaning of life as a realized being without the suffering? Why isn’t that grace given to us? Why does it have to include suffering? I know we say, think and believe this is the only way it it can be, but I believe it isn’t. This is a nice answer and it appeases but I think there can be more. I think if Buddha even in his castle had decided that he wanted to observe his mind and experiment through curiosity and not suffering he could have still reached enlightenment and realized that our minds create our realities. He was creating his reality beforehand of living in a castle and enjoying all of the fine things and then he also created or attracted the reality to him where he saw death and all of this. We are always attracting our reality to us but we can be unaware. Enlightenment does not only have to come from suffering. This is just a story we believe. We decide to label something as suffering, what is labeling this and classifying things? The mind. What is believing them? The mind.

Swamiji explains so beautifully that when we are unable to find solutions to life’s
challenging situations, we feel overwhelmed and tend to blame God for our
suffering. We wonder why God does not eliminate the suffering even though he has the power to do so. Swamiji says that God throws such circumstances in our way to teach us mental austerities and in the long run, such challenges are
responsible for our growth and thus should be perceived as a blessing.

Swamiji, great explanation, agreed, but still why create in the first place? If there is no creation then there is no suffering or happiness and no question of whether a soul deserves or does not deserve good or bad.

It is to help us souls achieve true happiness that we have been searching for since eternity. If there was no world, there will be no means for us to understand the way to go beyond the darkness (Maya or material energy) that has engulfed us since eternity and attain Eternal Bliss that we so dearly want.

God loves us all equally yet he makes his love known In those devotees who love him. We must have firm faith to feel the bliss. They will love us as much as we love them. God reciprocates. He loves the humble and innocent. He does not like cunning and deceit. Surrender your intellect to Him. Use your intellect for the world. Relish his divine pastimes and drown In the nectar of their love. Srimad Sadguru Sarkar Ki Jai!

Definitely this life is not meant for happiness but meant for learning from experiences, and the experience of being alive. You reap what you sow. I just wonder why we keep forgetting God in the first place and continue to be reborn? Great video, shared on fb! Thank you, Swami Mukudananda, thanks a lot!

I agree to the point that, people get what they deserve as per their karma in the past & present life.
What i couldn't able to convince my self is that-
There are many cases where people got through extreme pain & brutality that we can't even imagine.
Why almighty GOD didn't come to rescue them or even send his messanger for their help.
If GOD has given us free will to do our own karma where we dont have much hint of our past karma & where maya is all powerfull playing with us with all her weapon..it could be assume that, a child has given with a loaded gun in his/her hand, where mishap could have happen any moment of time.
Isn't there be some threshold to the pain must set by GOD ,once that threshold reached GOD should intervene to stop the evil & save the victim as well as the offender to not damaging his karmic account further.

Very true, everytime I face a tough situation, I will remember this lesson. We should strive to see God's grace in these situations as it puts us on the right track towards God consciousness. Thanks, Swamiji Radhe Radhe.

Yes Swamiji so true. Past life karma accounts are the reason for so much disparity in lives. God made fair neutral laws of karma. However Swamiji you mentioned that we are vimukh, leading to our suffering. However aren't we vibhina ansh eternally vimukh by design?

    • @yevodee4024

      + Prachi R
Since god is supposedly the creator of the universe and every thing in it, what gave god the right to create the universe in the first place?
What gave god the right to create and put souls (i.e., living things) in that universe, then create the laws of karma, and then subject those souls (i.e., living things) to those laws of karma (all of this, of course, *WITHOUT* taking the approval of those souls?
god (of every god-advocating religion) seems to be an arbitrary authoritarian who does things for his/her/its own pleasure and entertainment.

What a nice explanation about why we are suffering in this world.
We should make ourselves better rather than blaming to God and others and situation.
