Wow! Such absorption of the Mind that Vachaspati mishra did not have any recollection of his life for 50 years! We have to get to this stage of complete absorption of our mind in God if we want to attain Him.
Beautiful discourse. They say the ears of a dead person still continue to hear. That is why we chant Ram nam satya hai, to reinforce to the departing soul that this world is not ultimate reality, God alone is and it should proceed onward to its true destination.
The story of Vachaspati Mishra and his wife is extremely inspiring. One is the epitome of pin-pointed and unperturbed focus and the other the epitome of selfless service. Both attributes are highly adorable that every spiritual practitioner would want to inculcate in his personality.
Mind is everything in spirituality.God sees our thoughts and intentions, not body. Such a Deep absorption of Bachaspati Mishra in God continuously for fifty years is unbelievable. Deep absorption of mind is the key to achieving spiritual tranquility.
Thanks Swami Ji for explaining us that God notices our mind and thoughts during devotion not physical act. Mind has to be engaged for the work to be relevant .🙏🌹🙏
God is eternal and this fact is irreversible irrespective of whether you are experiencing joy or sorrow at the moment. The entire world will evade you but Almighty will not 🙏🏼
As Much As I Admire SwamiJi. I believe common sense is our best guide because of it's closeness to reality ! This in no way discounts what SwamiJi preaches. Thanks For Sharing.
Beautiful and motivational story for all the spiritual seekers, feeling blessed to have swami ji around and share such beautiful teachings which otherwise we would have been bereft of.
In any work , material or spiritual , involvement of the mind in the work is very important . Thank you Swamijee for your motivating discourse in your unique humorous way with the real story example of Vachashpati Mishra .
@Rajan Julka Very good observation Rajaj ji. I felt the same until I began understanding the way god operates. If you are a good surgean then you would definitely want your 100% mind on operation and then when you save so many people and come home tired, you should thank god for giving you such an ability to do such excellent deeds. Here is the catch though..if you after doing the operation begin thinking a lot about the rewards from that operation( people thanking you, getting a senior title before your name, huge bonus for the surgery, increase in your consultation fees thereafter) then you have forgotten god..it is not the work that we must abstain to do bhakti. Karmyoga asks us to be good at our work while we are young and skillful only to return back home thinking of when I will be relieved from cycle of birth and death and merge in god rather than decreasing your motivation for work or skills..We must always involve ourselves in our work as a form of duty free from ego of our titles at work to provide 100% service in the name of god rather than give 50% due to indulging in thoughts of god...I hope I make sense
Swamiji beautifully says that any task or action is relevant only when the mind is involved in it. If the mind wanders off, the actions become mechanical and thus irrelevant. Similarly, detachment from the material world should be genuine and not like shamshan vairagya that lasts for a short time and we get entangled in the world as soon as something seems important. Wow, thank you, Swamiji.
If we can practice sincerely, then definitely achieve that deep absorption or one pointed concentration to focus our mind on God and attain Him oneday. So nice explanation by Swamiji!
Best lecture in this channel. Amazing. It's a reality check to us. We actually don't have feelings for God even at the same level as we have towards the world. I needs to be corrected ASAP 🙏🙏😭😭
Swami ji I want to confess that my mind changes according to situation. When I have enough time then I do paath with full attention but when I have something urgent then I do it very fast. This shows Swami ji where I am standing.
Hare Krishna swami ji In your one discourse you said chanting of God is not enough until you don't do ramkaraj. Great message. Now today we learn mind should be equally active in god while doing meditation. Amazing swami ji, wonderful message. 🙏🙏
The essence of this video is that without using the mind in God, no devotional process is called bhakti (sadhan bhakti). The mind MUST remember God, irrespective of whether we are chanting/singing, doing japa or sitting quiet. And remembering Him means to meditate on Him (roopdhyan). When we remember someone in the world, his or her face comes to our mind. In the same way, when we remember God, the Divine form of God that we create in our mind should come to our mind. Thus, remembrance becomes easier when our practice of 'roopdhyan' solidifies.
@@lucasmorincatherine7132 ram karaj means doing good things with God grace. I heard in one episode when hanuman ji was in Lanka in search of sita. Then hanuman ji saw bhibhisen ji. He was doing chanting of ram ram. Hanuman was surprised after watching that how in Lanka of ravana anyone can worship RAM ji. Hanuman talked to bhibhisen and asked about him. Then bhibhisen said i am not getting RAM grace since I'm doing chanting a long time ago. Hanuman ji said to attain RAM grace chanting is not enough you have to do RAM kaj. It means when sita was kidnapped by ravana than you have to object. You have to defend sita but you have done nothing only chanting. If you help sita than you will definitely get RAM grace. 🙏🙏
By 'Ram ka kaj', Swamiji means serving God. There are three ways to serve God and Guru: 1. with mind (highest type); 2. with body (second); 3. with wealth (lowest). In essence, when one offers his everything in the service of God and Guru, he receives the special grace of God and progresses rapidly in sadhan bhakti towards his goal.
Story of vachaspati mishra who kept writing vedanta bhashya. One day due to wind the diya blew off and one lady lit the light. He asks who are you and she reveals that i am your wife.He realises that he was so absorbed in his work that he never realised he got married.Wife says she was doing household work and took care of livelihood and took good care of him.vachaspati ji gets astonished and says i am written bashya but his wife was real practical example of his commentary. So he named his bashya as bhamati bashya. Man hari main tan jagat main. Real sadhana is to chant and do keerthan of naam with pure devotion of engaging the mind 🙏 To engage the mind on god.Ram naam satya hain.World is not the truth god is the truth. So, its not that ram naam satya hain is not to be said simply at death but it is the most relevant word to be said always. It is important to keep our mind in hari naam and body in karma 🙏 We are doing simply ritual but we are not engaging mind 🙏

The cause root of bandage & liberation is only the mind. So the mind should be attached in devotion to God, if we want perfection. 🙏
