This is great, however I'm curious if it bypasses the SSE 4.2/ POPCNT requirement on older CPU's that forces older hardware to bootloop on initial restart into 24H2. I haven't seen anything that covers that issue. I know that the old registry changes and the RUFUS method will not work if your CPU does not have SSE 4.2. My current CPU only supports SSE 4.0, identified through CPU-Z or HWiNFO, and no matter what I've tried the results are all the same, gets through the loading process, on 24H2 desktop startup, restarts again, and reverts back to 23H2 current build.

I own a computer Microsoft does not like, even though it has most of the bells and whistles required (but the wrong cpu!) If I was to upgrade using any of the available methods, what could I expect down the road. There will be ongoing updates to Win11 just as there have been for Win10. Would these regular updates proceed normally and, then, what would the major updates do? I bought this computer hoping it would last without major rebuilding on my part (as I am getting rather up in age). I have tried several Linux versions and am comfortable with their use, except that several pieces of software I use do not run in exactly the same way as they do under Windows. I could make work-arounds for most issues, but that would be a task best avoided. I would like to install Win11 (and hope that eventually MS will give me their blessing). So, what will the future bring for unsupported upgrades. I am sure there are many hundreds of folk with similar worries. I would really like to get your educated opinion realizing that MS ultimately holds the key that will make me switch to Linux.

This pc doesn't currently meet windows 11 system requirements 🙂🥲 what to do now sir
The Windows, computers and Technology channel made a video today on this.👍
Hey Britech09, could you please create a detailed video explaining how to create a custom Windows 11 24H2 ISO? I've been having trouble getting the MSMG tool to work with 24H2.And also thanks for this video
I see what I can do
My Windows language version is Eng-US and if I choose Eng-International when I upgrade will I lose files or other? Thanks!
I tried the Rufus method earlier and all it wanted to do was clean install it would not upgrade my system from 23H2 to 24H2
Another banger Brian. Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it
Clean install best!😊
The Rufus method worked for me although I did boot off the installation media and do a clean install
The new Rufus Beta works fine on 24h2 upgrade / install.
I'm having a tough time with this. The app looks different for me. Instead of the patch option, it says start. I have extra options and the process isn't the same. Ultimately, I get the message that says my Laptop can't be upgraded. It has a pentium n3710 @ 1.6 ghz. and 4gb of ram. I get a pop up about POPCNT, but not sure I fully understand.
OK. Fixed that. Now it won't let me keep my apps because I'm running a one language version of windows 10 in English (united kingdom), but there isn't an English united kingdom option. I'm currently downloading the English (international iso to see if that works....but I am not optimistic.
Nope. Didn't work. Still greyed out
For the love of god, do not Upgrade.. from a clean boot on a brand new SSD my event viewer now has 3 pages of errors, long restarts and a task manger full of services iv not seen before (device manager is creating duplicate/ghosts everytime I reboot)
I was just wondering if it is possible to install windows 11 24H2 in legacy/BIOS mode? I have a Vostro 460 with a i7-2600 and 16GB of ram. I know that it can run windows 11 with the workarounds but I can’t find a way to get the legacy/bios mode support
if your windows 10 is activated, using this program to install 11, will windows 11 be activated?
Thank you Brian! ❤
You are so welcome
All I get is Failed to get mounted drive letter.......Update, it now gets to windows pc doesn't currently meet Windows 11 requirements.
I have an old Asus laptop with an Intel 2nd Gen i7 running Windows 10 Pro. Will Flyby11 install Windows 11 on it?
Ran into the sse 4.2 error on my Dell latitude e6400 atg when attempting to upgrade from 11 23h2 to 11 24h2. Oh well, windows 10 ltsc 1809 for me
YOOOO THANKS IM ON IPHONE WAIT FOR LANDING WINDOWS 11 INSTALL TYSM :D
Many thanks: after many wasted hours, this finally worked!
I have a Macbook Retina 2013 late 13 inch. Has a hard drive 121 GB with 4 GB. Ram. I have tried several different ways to download windows 11. I have downloaded windows 10. I think this does not have enough space for windows 11 because only 72 GB. for windows. Can you help me download windows 11
Went straight to Windows 11 install. Not Server install. Then after all the update checking etc., said my processor does not meet hardware requirements. What did I do wrong?
I did not keep the check on Fido, your video shows it unchecked. Went to Server setup but without the option to keep files, settings and apps, only personal files.
what about using windows 10 LTSC which it will give you security updates until 2030
You can use that
you could also go for W11 LTSC now when it's released :))
What is LTSC, please?
@@73dem6vmo7 Google or any other search engine is your friend.
@@73dem6vmo7 LTSC = Long-Term Servicing Channel
Thank you for this video! Yes this works, but i think you will find that when you come to windows update KB5044284 -after 26100.1882- it will not let you install it and it will say that your PC is not compatible... :(
Thanks for sharing
Keep getting denied, using FIDO
"Error: We are unable to complete your request,,,,,,,etc"
Hey does it bypasses sse4.2 or popcnt features
no
Is it still safe updating to win 11 with Celeron Processor?
My windows 11 wont download 24h2 my pc is rysen 7 7700 cpu ddr5 so gets error code after trying to install so will this help mine?
How can I be sure that it isn't installing anything naughty (malware/keylogging/etc) on my PC?
but...why? if my hardware isnt supported it propably means tht it sucks, forcing this upgrade will jst make ur pc slower no?
