My uncle was a long haul trucker after his Army service, specializing & certified in foreign engines.
I remember him being able to just glance at mom's old Fastback that (we thought) had given out for the last time. A flick, a click & a flooomp! & Boogly ran until the mid '80s until mom 'moved on' to a Chevy.
Appreciating ALL the seasons is indeed what makes ALL of life so beautiful.

Funny how you own a VW bus and old Ford pickup, as I also own those too. Had my 69 bus since 2009. It was my Grandfather's. And yes, it's been a journey with all the work put into it!

I have a 1968 VW Beetle that I did all the electrical on. I’d suggest buy a new wiring harness and relay/switches and just do it yourself. It’ll save you a ton of trouble in the future.

I have the same van. My father bought it back in 80s and in '87 we traveled from Greece to Spain. And after those years as a farmer still using it for my work. But someday I wanna do the same as you. I want to fix it and travel the coutry.
