    I was struggling after watching another video looking for take down lever like it said in the video and couldn’t take this gun apart. I had to rest hands because of my arthritis. Wow, thank you. I just bought my first handgun. Same gun in this video, just a 4.25" barrel. After watching your video, I just went from being absolutely clueless and timid about disassembly. To sitting here timing myself dropping the mag, removing the slide, reinstalling the slide, resetting the action, and reinstalling the mag. Too simple.

    The other day I just purchased two 9mm M2.0's in the 4.25 barrel length. Love my Glocks, but the grip and steel magazines plus $397 per gun was attractive! Also like that I have 17+1 capacity in the same general size of my Glock 19's.

    This is a great tutorial! A little different from other videos I've seen. I noticed you did not use the pick from the grip to reach in the chamber and flip the takedown pin. Nice to see it can be done without "picking around" inside the chamber.

    So there is a metal arm like piece inside of your m&p just below the chamber that you can pull out keeping you from having to pull the trigger to release the slide its actually better on your firearm dry firing it is never good

    • @3KindsOfGuns

      There is nothing wrong with dry firing modern guns.

    • @3KindsOfGuns
      @3KindsOfGuns  Год назад

      I don't believe your grip has the space for a safety. But I could be wrong. Why do you want to add the safety? I have removed it from all of mine.

    • @darylw792
      @darylw792 Год назад

      @@3KindsOfGuns Because if I ever get into a confrontation and someone gets my gun if the safety is on it may give me the time to get the gun back and take control of the situation. It is said that one of the reasons for police to get shot when wrestling with a criminal is the criminal gets their gun and if no safety the police officer gets shot by his own gun.

    • @3KindsOfGuns

    • @darylw792
      @darylw792 Год назад

      @@3KindsOfGuns That is a good recommendation. I know this issue about whether to have a safety or not has positives and negatives. Massad Ayoob on his channel favors a safety and shows studies to support his argument. The gentleman on the Warrior Poet Society channel favors not having a safety. I think both are valid points. It is up the the gun owner to choose.

    1st time gun owner, and I just bought a 4" barrel compact version of this handgun. Haven't fired it yet. I practiced disassembling and reassembling per the instructions, and have a really hard time pulling off the first inch or pulling on the last inch of the slide from the frame. I'm not sure what's causing it. I removed the barrel and spring, and the slide is so much easier to pull off and on, although there is still slight resistance in that 1 inch at the rear of the frame/slide. I don't have cleaning tools yet, but I did add a drop of oil to each lube point per instructions, but it didn't seem to help. I'm pretty sure the barrel and spring is seated correctly. I think I'll have to take it to the store and see if they can look at it.

  • @Ripskiis
    @Ripskiis 4 года назад

    Don't use grease guys. That's way overkill and a place for stuff to collect and maybe cause a problem. Cleaning and lubrication are way overdone these days, in fact carbon is a natural lubricant itself. I'm not saying don't clean, just that a totally uncleaned gun would run longer if put to the test than one with grease in it.

    • @3KindsOfGuns
      @3KindsOfGuns  4 года назад +3

      This has been disproven by the US Army.
      And the grease that I'm using isn't bearing grease.

    1. don't pull the trigger when taking apart the gun, unnecessary on this model. 2. don't press down on the slide lock after pulling the takedown lever or your slide COULD go flying. Instead, close the slide manually by racking. 3. Not sure where you learned to 'clear' firearms but that scared me. REALLY.

      @@henrydenry9508 no, you can press the trigger, or use the little piece on the inside. As you saw, I verified the gun was clear, so pressing the trigger is a none issue.

    • @3KindsOfGuns
      @3KindsOfGuns  3 года назад +1

      You absolutely can press the trigger, or use the bar on the inside. Either works, you'll notice that I didn't let the slide slam forward, but used my hand to keep it from slamming forward.
