This is just what I want: great footage, calm and professional commentary of an absolute boss performance leaving the dock. And it was nice how you put music to the rest of the clip.
Much much respect to you Captain.
syns du det? All thrusters i verden pluss joystick. Kanskje du ikke kan så mye om det :)
@@MemoryLaneCinema Lol whatever:-)
@@MemoryLaneCinema :) its actually only 1 thruster twin screw and rudder. I have no idea what you mean by "thrusters" and "Joysticks"???
They pack you in like sardines. You are a Master of your boat! :))
Another great vlog.
tight is so much more fun ;)
With your skills and amazing crew you make it look simple. Great coordination between yourself and crew. Cummunication and trust has been demonstrated. Also like you said, keep calm and go slow.
Give your crew my compliments on being professional in their duties. Awesome responsability.
Very tight, the silhouette of S/Y A is amazing in that shimmering sea
Great video of the close quarters work and getting everyone involved. Barbara seems very relaxed on the bow.
Amazing what calm heads and good communication can achieve - oh - and a moment or two of experience..... Job well done.
Whoa. That was really tight. Almost too tight yes? I can see how trust in your crew is essential. Thank you. Another great video on how it is done. Be safe!
Thanks Ron
Excellence is a quality ! I drove into Monaco with a Sunseeker around 27 times an it is always a pleasure to be surrounded by professionels who know how !!!
Tristan - What a beautiful job of getting out of that tight spot. So nicely done, calm, cool and collected (On the surface anyway) Remind me of my time at the wheel. Well Done.
Love all your videos! Entertaining and informative in a most professional way - Thanks Tristan ! 👍😀
We hold our breath - we who are completely out of our league.
You make the difficult seem easy.
It really took little time, considering the mass of the boat.
So it's true - slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
I hope that your owner eventually asks you to captain an even larger yacht. You deserve it!!
And take your crew!!
Well done Captain Tristan navigating out of port, and for giving us an excellent commentary. An Excellent Vlog. Take care.
Top work team, really enjoy these videos, great information, yes power and panicking never works
Outstanding close quarters maneuvering! I remember while doing a sea trial with my most recent boat, a twin engine 31 foot express cruiser power boat, then at the end in close quarters in the marina my boat broker said "if you hit another boat or the dock do you want to be moving fast or slow?" So I learned quickly that slow and easy in close quarters is essential. Our boat's front half really did act like a sail with wind. Because of that I learned how to cleverly back into the wind to maneuver into tighter spaces. Success was a rush!
Thanks for showing us something we would not normally see!
Enjoying the extra angles from other crew members with go pros attached 👍
The best advice. Stay calm and go slow in this situation. Would love to captain a boat like this.
Excellent captain, excellent crew! Great job everyone!!!!
My complements on the boat handling of your crew, very nice teamwork.
Tristen - Amazing boat handling skills by you and the crew. Thanks for showing us how its done. One of the best parts of the video is actually at the 9:30 or so mark when you come out of the port and in the distance is the sailing yacht “A”. If I am right, it is the largest sail assisted yacht in the world owned by a Russian businessman who also owns the motor yacht the “A”. We were chartering a catamaran this winter in Anguilla, St. Martin and St. Barts and he was there that week with the boat, so we saw it up close. Pretty amazing vessel with a crew of 65, according to a couple of people in port with whom we spoke. We sailed up to one day in Aguilla....it is really impressive! Thanks again for all of your videos. You and your crew are fantastic!
Voted, you & your crew are awesome 😎!!! Talk about a tight squeeze...Be Safe Capt.
Really fun to watch. A lot of effort from a lot of people go into these manoeuvres. Can't wait for my journey to begin.
Mission Impossible?
No - you need a steady hand and a sharp crew. AWOL got both. Enjoy watching.
Thanks for sharing.
The water is such a beautiful blue... You can see why guests enjoy AWOL and her crew!
As a Wedding Celebrant I love these video's. Occasionally I do ceremonial wedding ceremonies on board a ship. Although not a luxury yacht you're currently on.
Great job to you and your crew getting out of MCO, the white paint on the stabilizers is a fantastic idea, this should be standard on all motoryachts that have them fitted !
Yowser!!! I WOULD GO NUTS! Fortunately Tristan and his able crew had the experience and skill to pull this off. The AWOL's owner can smile for he has a good team. Getting into that slot might have been even more challenging?
To Infinity & Beyond!
T.G.I.F.
Yes!!!!!! was Hoping Friday In Uk Dull Wet would bring some Cheer & You Have cheers Capt Thanks have a top weekend Tc
Hi Tristan. That was a true captain at the helm, ahead is my day skippers course and i hope to aspire to your skill level. Great video.
Excellent Tristan! Well executed and perfect team work. Cool and calm. Mature far beyond your years. Now show us the video of you backing into your mooring. That must have been even more difficult.
Have just been introduced to your channel and finding myself rather binging. 😆 I have a good view of our (pre-covid) frequent cruise ships arriving but anchor and tender passengers off & on this port of call. Watching these docking and embarking videos makes me wish more super and up yachts visited us out in the middle of the pacific. In any case very impressed with the skills necessary your ports of call, insane indeed!
Great video! I really appreciate the step by step moves and the music was a nice touch after! thanks Captain!
That was excellent work! Well done to you all and especially! You! Captain!
I was right. You excelled like I knew you would. Job well done to all of you.
I like this channel so much. Thanks Tristan and team!!
Love watching your journey through yachting the Med.
If I was a rich man and own a vessel like that I would have Tristan as the Captain , he is excellent at his job and also has a nice personality which in a job like that is most important.
An American fan !!
Great video with good commentary. The last part was so relaxing.
Love love love the new chef, James! A much better fit. Am still sizing up the new engineer...
Awesome video!! Very detailed!! I voted for Awol, you, Barbra! GL!
Love seeing the maneuvering! Dream job!
Nicely done! Thanks for sharing.
Calm and cool skipper - calm and cool crew
Man thats Tricky for sure good job Captain
Really great episode Tristan! I loved all of the extra viewpoints that you gave us, plus your post-edit voice over as you were obviously a little preoccupied performing that extremely delicate and expertly helmed manoeuvre. When mooring, I am still not sure if you tension the ground lines to the fixed stern lines or vice-versa? More of these please. Can I also make another polite request for "a day in the life on board from Barbara's perspective" please.
Woww, that was quite a maneuver. You are very professional.
Great job Captain and CREW!!!
Lovely seeing the yacht club finished, it was under construction when I was last there 😀
Wow, will never experience a yacht in my life, but you make it so real.
great video! My favourite club. I was there a few times....on the cruise ship's sibling, the RSSC Silver Explorer and as you had the Silver Whisper off the starboard bow, that hotel on the left Is definitely worthy od a few nights too!
Aw, you brought back some great memories that just added much ti the video. Great skill shown there as well. Thank you
Oops well the silver whisper is a different line to RSSC Explorer. Both are awesome!
I voted for you cause you deserve the trophy
Great video! Love the multiple camera angels. Hope u guys get a few days off 😀
AS a Boater it is always fascinating to watch non boaters trying to drive a boat the same way as they drive their car - everything done fast. Sloooowly, Sloooowly is what's needed in port. Like other posters, i'm surprised you do not have a rear camera view screen to view when on your docking stations.
Wow,, awesome video,,,This was fascinating..
Great job Captain, I’ve been trying to view every vlog episode, Thank you Captain!,,
Thanks Corey 👍
Wouw!! Perfect manouvring!!
Great job Cap, you are a fantastic captain in more ways then just boat handling! Any possibility's of showing exactly how you plot out your trips? I know u probably have most waypoints already put in, but would love to truly see exactly how you do it on your high tech instruments, epically navigating skinny water in Europe, Caribbean etc? Would love to also see a outer and inside yacht cleaning day, and exactly all the things u use to clean with? Thanks again, and safe passages!
Please keep the vlogs coming . Really interesting and informative. Best wishes to all.
Cheers Michael
Nice job. Slow n smooth!
I want to see backing into that berth! Great teamwork!
Awesome driving job!
It sure doesn't get boring!
Your living the dream buddy!
Very slick gentlemen. 🇬🇧
Beautiful!.
Another great piloting class!
I know you avoid it but I am looking forward for a rough sea video.
Best regards and best season.
(O: buena suerte y buena mar)
Brilliant.
Love the video. Well done!
Nice VIdeo as always. Hopefully will see some footage from the Anchorages you go to...how you set up all the “toys” ready for the guests.... whatever you come up with will be welcome....
Nicely done by all.
Great vid! I like the multiple angles😄
Nicely done.
JUST THE BUSINESS OF A YACHT CAPTAIN ! the "rest" is just litterature !!!
Suggestion: Include a play list at the end of your video series to binge watch the series from the start. Great for new comer, I have seen it else where and they say it really helps with new subscribers. Love the videos... back in school this winter working on more certification, then back to work in a month.
Very tight berth and well done maneuver! Did I hear "15 knots of wind"? Never ever.
Great video! thx for sharing
Well done!
Amazing! 15kn of wind too!
Thanks Tristan, brings back memories of turning m/y Pelorus around in Antibes harbour so we could clean the portside along side the dock, during the 180 degree turn we managed to foul a ground line and anchor chain from another yacht, as he refused to wait his turn......lets just say it got very political for a while !
Amazing ship handling skills. You make it look so easy. The mark of a true professional
I've requested this before. Would you please do a video on Med ties and picking up ground lines
Thanks
Neutral is your best friend! Nice and slow but if you have any problems put it straight in neutral! When using forward or reverse just click it into either gear for 1 or 2 seconds then straight back into neutral ! Asses then back into gear for 1 or 2 seconds then neutral again nice and slow cant go wrong! But your best friend is ALWAYS neutral !! Not difficult at all just patience and confidence! Great vid
Tristan!!
Except you can't steer in neutral. Sometimes neutral is your friend but flow over the rudders is essential for control.
@@rastapete100 You can rudder steer as long as you are moving, prop thrust or not. Also bow thruster.
great video. super nice.
I see the Seadream!!🛳❤️🛳❤️
Thank you Captain for this awersome footage. i love this kind of video where camera go around the boat, showing what all the crew is doing . I know it's more time consuming , and i appreciate it. Great Handling skill. Just a question: the liitle domes on roof what ar thei for?
Seeing the sailing yart A outside Monaco is nice :) It was build in my town :0
Nice view on Sailing Yacht A at 08:05
Amazing 😊
Nerves of steel. Just saying... g,day from southern Tasmania. Australia. Down under down under. Enjoy your videos cheers from Glenn old school boatbuilder.
I just realized that I was holding my breath.
TOP MAN GREAT JOB
That was very very close.....Everyone else's million dollar yacht there in a tight fit boat lot area....That was nice...

Smooooth.
Amazing skill.
Thank you 😇🙏
thrusters and good crew help alot
Getting out, no problem. I wonder how you got into the berth - that is the trick!
If you want a drunk captain, AWOL is your boat!
Do you, or could you, use the chase boat as a tug if needed?
Thanks
Chris.
Man AWOL is pretty:) also I like you stance on collisions. If your gonna whack it just whack is slow with fenders
Also HOLY SHIT ITS SAILING YACHT A 😍😍😍😍
my boating rule number one "never approach a dock at a speed faster than you want to hit it"
