0:53 I can assure you if you pick up your guinea pig and give them good sniff they might smell like hay... but they also might smell like heaven and happiness and once you get a wiff you can't get enough. me personally I collect them like Pokemon and sniff them like scented markers 🤣😂 ( obviously joking... or am I 🤫)
You are a wonderful mother to them. You take good care of them. They are all so beautiful and sweet 🥰 Nacho is so cute ❤️ I also adore all the other Roxy, Phoebe and Callie. Pedro touched my heart the most ❤️🐾🐾😪 May God bless you all

I just got a guinea pig and your channel is helping me grow my guinea pig and I wanna have a third one now! even though it’s hard to take care of these little guineas that look easy to take care of but actually hard they’re really cute and really really nice. Thank you for all these tips and videos!
Love this! 🥰❤️🥰❤️ You are so kind and gentle with him. I know that at the LA Guinea Pig Rescue, they bathe the piggies every two or three months with an anti- fungal. What do you think about that?
Yes I have heard that - I don't know how they manage with so many! There will be a higher chance of fungal infections at a rescue with new piggies coming in all the time so it might be a good preventative measure for them. Fungal can be more likely to spread in hot environments too.
I’m taking care of 4 more so I have J now one of them loves a chin rub and loves our fleece since he doesn’t normally have fleece as they live at my school and they can’t wash it he loves it so much and he’s next to the door!
I bathed my boys once, as they were quite dirty and greasy, they were so well be haved they did freak out a little but they were defo not fans of the hair dryer 😅, i did manage to get them dry however... at least i now know that my boys should be ok and wont need a bath anytime soon
My piggies have only had one bath when they REALLY stank, but now one of my girls keeps getting kinda poopy clumps on her nails so every two or three days I have to get rid of it by rubbing on it with my fingers, do you know anything that would help??🐹💩💅
You could try cleaning it with a facecloth carefully, then dry it with a towel :) If your piggies poop isn't alright you should also check their diet and health.
"Poop shoes" can result from not cleaning toilet areas enough or more likely soft stools - it could be too much veg in her diet or not enough fibre (not enough good quality hay or too many pellets instead of hay). Try cut out veggies for a few days and see if things improve, then you might find that you just feed them veg every other day or just not at much at once. And for fibre, try a nice timothy hay if you haven't already - they love it!
You are so calm with him Sarah. You are such a wonderful Guinea pig mom. He looks so handsome! He’s so adorable! Now do you brush it after you dry it to get all the knots out just in case or do you just leave it or do you use a comb instead ? Just asking I know I do the same thing with my little dog she’s only 4 pounds and she gets very hairy but does not shed and then I dry her really good with the towel. I don’t use the regular dryer, I just dry hair really good several times with a big giant towel and then I brush it sometimes afterward.
Hi we have two luyunkra guinea pigs and they suffer with dandruff so I use nizol shampoo and sometimes gorgeous guinea pig shampoo. But I give them a good hair cut in the summer I usually do it with the hair clippers. It does look rather short though 😂
It does help but I am starting to think that they are the type of guinea pig that might be prone to dry skin with having so much hair that's why I like to take it quite short in the summer to let there skin breathe if that makes sense 😄.
We love Nacho!!! He's such a cutie-pie. I have a quick question Sarah (nothing to do with baths though!): what do you use to cut out the entrances in your plastic under-bed storage/hay tray thingie? I don't want to shatter the plastic when I attempt this. Thank you. Zoe, Brighton.
Thank you so much squeak dreams because of you I am going to become a Guniea pigs owner but I will purchase them from shops so how will I now if they are male or not
They should be able to tell you at the shop - they should have males and females seperate, if they don't, avoid! I recommend watching my "New Owner Checklist" video - it has information about checking they are the right sex and other things to be aware of for new piggie owners. Good luck 😊
Dear Squeak Dreams you should trim Nachos fur/hair up some for the spring and summer he must stand on his fur/hair by now and he must be hot and tired of maneuvering with his size to get in and out of things i wonder if he does he pee on his fur in the back best to trim it so he doesnt smell. thank you for the vlog.
His hair wasn't long enough for him to stand on or to get wet with pee. It's winter here in the UK at the moment so I don't trim it too short, in the spring/summer yes definitely shorter 😊
Aww bless him nacho he was so good in the bath have a long haired piggie he is a Peruvian do not think he be as good do cut his but hair and brush him. Good helpful video f need to bath him thanks

I don't know if you'll see this, but my pig suddenly stopped being able to eat his veggie treats and also his favorite Timothy hay heads. He mainly prefers his pellets now. I've done a bit of research and found that their teeth can grow over and occlude the tongue. He really wanted his treats but just couldn't eat them, so we tried chopping his veggies very small, and he immediately was eager and able to eat them. Have you ever seen this? Have you heard anything about the long-haired Piggies getting fur balls and if so how do you manage that situation I'm a little worried about my long-haired Piggy
I recommend the following videos - my Beginner Guide, the New Owner Checklist (a few weeks ago), and my Top 12 Tips for New Guinea Pig Owners one from last year too. Also the Reasons Why You Should Get Guinea Pigs too - best of luck! 😄
Where do you buy your Guinea pigs? I’m looking for a long haired Guinea pig but the nearest groomer to me only sells short haired Guinea pigs. Should I consider just buying my Guinea’s at petco or pets mart?
I adopt from guinea pig rescues. They occasionally have long haired pigs like Nacho, probably more than pet shops will. Plus there are many down sides to buying from a pet shop (I have a video on this "where to get your guinea pigs from"). I recommend googling to see if any rescues near you 😊
I think maybe using clean running water to rinse him would be better. I know you eventually changed the water but it just seemed silly to use dirty water to rinse them at all after bathing the fur and skin. Maybe it's just my anxiety talking lol But otherwise this was a great video :)
Hi there I'm thinking of getting guinea pigs and there is a herd of five bonded at the rescue. I was wondering if I could fit five guinea pigs in a 21-square-foot cage. and if so how big of a cage for five?
I would personally say 21 square feet is a little small for 5 piggies Depending on how well they get on with eachother! Maybe try a 25 square ft cage, basically the bigger the better, so glad you thought of adopting from a rescue❤❤
Hello, can you tell me if "Guinea Pig Pals" used your images in their video "10 fun activities to keep your guinea pig active | ultimate guinea pig play guide"?
Haha! The carpet in their room is old and so marked already that its hard to tell! When they have their new room and new carpet I'll be much strict with potential pee spots 😅
Ok so not about this video but I'm gonna buy a 65$ thing and it has 2 food dishes/water dish a water bottle and a wooden hay rack and a litter area all in one the water bottle is 500 ml but anyways is it ok or not
Does it include a cage? If so it will depend on the size of the cage, and if it's anything like "starter packs" we have here in the UK it will be a rip off and far too small. Take a look at building your own C&C cage, or the Midwest or Kaytee Open Living are good pre-made options. A wooden hay rack isn't essential and food dishes/water bottles can be picked up for low cost online 😊
I mean it's meant for bunny's and it's seperate from the cage (it doesn't come with a cage) the whole thing is around 20 inch by 15 inch for two piggies The cage is 56 inch by 28 inch it's kinda like a c&c cage but not the brand but style yes
