This particular KA model is fantastic at doing every function. Mine is almost 2 years old and I use it several times a day. It can fit a 12 lb turkey. It also fit an 8lb spiral sliced ham. It can accommodate larger casserole dishes as well.
Kitchen Aid has always had quality products in my experience. But I never had a countertop convection oven. I loved the full size convection oven I had, even though it wasn't Kitchen Aid. But I'll have to try getting this one! Thank you, Marc & Jamie!!!
I had purchased the Ninja Foodi XL pro Air oven... great product. Our regular oven is now a storage for pots and pans...lol Our hydro bill has been much lower too.😊
All of my appliances are Kitchenaid Architect series, except my dishwasher, which was an Architect series. I had to replace the dishwasher last year after 16 years of use. I had to replace the ice maker in the fridge and hinges for one oven. Everything else is going strong. I replaced the dishwasher with another Kitchenaid. Customer service has also been top notch over the years.
If out in Canada yet would be great to see the new Ninja ProChef Thermometer I know the ones built into air fryers tends to be hit and miss but be good to see if they have got this one right!
Thanks for the video. Do you have any other videos of how to use it? I just bought it and haven't been able to find any. I want to see how to best do a butterball turkey beast for new years. Thanks for the help
I am torn between buying the kitchen aid airfryer ( you didnt show how well it airfrys) OR the Ninja airfryer 251 with temp prob. Help! Lol. I love all your reviews and just bought to ninja immersion blender based on your reviews. Ty for all your reviews!!!
Thanks so much. We actually did a full, comprehensive review on the Kitchenaid. Check it out. Hope that helps. ruclips.net/video/UolQuzdVurk/видео.htmlsi=n2wKrPWC-N8PZc4W Marc
Thanks for this review! Would you say this is the best stainless/teflon-free air fryer oven you’ve tried so far? I am in search for my first air fryer and it’s so hard to decide.
Well, I’ll be 100% transparent. I have this on my countertop, it gets used daily. But the air fryer portion only gets used a couple times a month. So I cannot say it’s the best air fryer I’ve used, although it works great. But it’s an amazing counter top oven, toaster that we use all the time. When I do air fry, it works great. Marc
Hows cleaning it going? I have a Nija Foodi XL pro it is worst thing to clean I can't get access the fan areas nor remove stained grease no matter what I use. I air roast, air fry, bake and toast. I am ready for a replacement and I need to know what your cleaning experience is with it. Thank you for your reply in advance.
What a coincidence this video just dropped as I am trying to decide on this. Does it do wings well is what I want to know? I have an older version that they just called "convection oven" that didn't have as big of a fan in the back. It never crisped well, but it has been not working at all lately, so trying to decide if the new model is worth it?
If you’re buying it solely for wings, I would go with a traditional air fryer. If you want to size and versatility, to be able to toast, bake etc. I’d go with this. Marc
So I had to take apart a similar one to this (KCO255) and I’m a little bit concerned that I reconnected something wrong, because it get super hot on the exterior. Is it normal for it to get really hot on the outside?
@@TheAverageKitchen thank you for the quick reply! So in your experience, are you able to hold your hand on, for example, the silver bezels without getting burned? Obviously the glass is going to get super hot, and i was thinking it makes sense that the bezels do as well. But what about the back of the unit or the sides/top (after about say 10 min of running at 450ish)? they don't get as hot, but hotter then i expected i guess? hot enough that i would avoid touching it. anyways, your channel is awesome and thanks for all the info from one Canadian to another :)
To be honest, our daily use is bagels, English muffins in the morning. Sometimes cook chicken tenders for my kids lunches. But I’ve never noticed any access heat that I felt was abnormal. Marc 🇨🇦🇨🇦
This is going to be strange but when looking up the model on KitchenAid's own website it shows ~16" deep, where is the extra 3" coming from on your model? What model number if you don't mind me asking? Thanks! Currently researching countertop ovens!
We did a full review of that product here … ruclips.net/video/UolQuzdVurk/видео.htmlfeature=shared The size difference “may” be that we included the door handle on the depth. Marc
The most important part for me is the cleaning which you say you don't use air fryer function which is why you say cleaning is easy. I had a Ninja pro oven very hard to clean so threw it away, and it wasn't a year old. Won't buy another one. Have a Breville pro now, same thing plus smokes a lot. So don't use air fryer function. Looking at Corsori 26QT because it looks easy to clean. They say takes longer to warm up but cleaning is the important thing to me.
@@nunyabiznezz3856I’ve had luck in the past with throwing some dish soap, vinegar and water into a Ramekin, ‘baking’ at a medium-low for 20-25 minutes, then wiping clean with a microfibre or paper towels (using dish gloves for the heat, obviously!)

I love mine too, haven’t used my big oven at all. It’s just two of us in the home so it works perfect for us!
That's great! - J
It's nice that it held up. What do you guys prefer? Kitchen Aid or Ninja?
For me I would say Ninja, mostly due to price. But we have a new Ninja oven review coming out soon, so stay tuned! - J
I would love to see review the Breville bov 900 i bought one for the size and able to make bread and it will hold a 14 lb turkey
Just ordered the BPR700. Stay tuned for that review ! Marc
looking forward to that review

@TheAverageKitchen I appreciated thanks. Queden, when you use the air fryer does it make like a click sound every 30 sec or so??
I would like to know about the DEHYDRATING option to this. Is it messy, and how efficient is it in that mode? tia
We haven't tried dehydrating unfortunately. - J

where can i download a recipe book kitchenaid that explains recipes and how to use the oven?
Maybe on their website? - J

I saw other reviews that said this model wasn't good at keeping a consistent temperature, how was your experience?
We didn’t experience that all. Marc
Do you use the probe?
Not much to be honest. Marc
Nachos are really tex-mex, hence the sour cream. Yum.
👍
What about toasting a regular piece of bread?
🍞
That would be good to know, 5+ min to toast a Bagel seemed like a lot!
How hot does it get on top?
Not super hot, but I wouldn’t leave anything on there that could be damaged by heat. Marc

I've found this hard to keep clean? It stains easily. Anyone else?
I’ve had zero staining with mine. Use it daily. Marc
@@TheAverageKitchen However you had said you haven't air fried? It's grease.
Very true, I use the bake and or toast daily. I use a different air fryer for the occasional wings.
@@TheAverageKitchen I love the oven. But broiling and air fry grease stains won't remove. Disappointed 😔
