  • It can be very frustration trying to cut plexiglass. If using cutters that cause heat friction, it just melts back together and causes a hazy mess.
    Try my little trick the next time. HAPPY CUTTING!

    just please be mindful of people with allergies and clean your project fully of all peanut oil if anyone would come into contact with it... I wonder if say veg oil would work as well>??

      @mlr080965 That is good advice. I know some people with very bad allergies to nuts (meet them after making this video). Almost any oil, that doesn't ruin the plexiglass, should work. It's just making a slick surface. I never buy veggie oils so I used what I had.

    Just use the proper acrylic cutting blade, no oil needed.

      Thank you for your comment. That may very well be true. This was for those people, like me, that use what we have on hand for occasional projects so we don't need to spend money on anything else.

      @@QueenBee1755 That is an ingenious idea with the oil and being frugal is true nowadays, I have accumulated so much stuff over the years I rarely have to buy materials except for special projects. I keep 2 different acrylic cutting blades on hand that I purchased years ago as samples, I barely use them but when I need them they are ready to go. That's if I can find them among all the stuff!

      Lol! That sounds like me. Once I do buy something, I hang onto it forever. You never know when it might come in handy again... IF I can find it! 😂

      What blade is best for cutting acrylic?

    • @QueenBee1755
      @QueenBee1755  Год назад +1

      @woodys_woodwork There are specialty blades available but I rarely cut anything except wood or metal on this, so I make due with the blades I have for wood and metal.

    Hi what blade did you use?

      Sorry for late reply. I have been out of town and not able to get to my account. It was just the regular wood cutting blade I already had on it. The oil just coated the grove as it cut so the two halves did not melt back together. It washed off easily with soapy water.
