Every beef outside of 50 vs Ja are totally different… all them artists were authentic and for the culture not trying to steal it. Any rap song Drake drops there will be a lot of ppl looking at it sideways
@@amenx absolutely… I’m not speaking on authenticity for that battle I’m speaking on the outcome and backlash after the battles… Ja was definitely authentic plus 50 n ja’s beef was really some street shit that just so happened to play out over music and Drake was done worse than Ja
I think ppl are underestimating what Dot just did to Drake. This is only comparable to 50 vs Ja, the other comparisons in the video did not have an L at the scale of this one. I was there for all these beefs, I have never seen no shit like what Dot just did to Drake, a song calling someone a pdf? This is uncharted territory in beefs imo.
HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JA/50 and this beef. For starters Ja was only a hand full of years into his career by the time 50 came out he was not some big, larger than life artist especially not on Drake’s scale. Remember Drake is damn near 40 with 8 albums and a plethora of other bodies of work under his name. The run was the run. Ja wasn’t even 30 yet when 50 took him out. This would’ve been more career ending in say 2013-14 compared to now. Also, something else that keeps getting lost is that Ja was technically declining in sales BEFORE the 50 beef. He was not at his Apex, his run was coming to an end whether he liked it or not. 50 just sped up the process
@@TheKidwonda yes there is nothing to compare to this, I just said it’s the closest thing we have to compare among all the listed beefs. Also Drake sales are on the decline already, Scorpion did 7 mil, He hasn’t hit half of that since then. Also the fashion in which he was dissed was far more embarrassing than anything 50 said imo. We will never have any beef to compare to Drake if we go off his success bc he has had the biggest commercial run we have ever seen. My point is that the other beefs mentioned the other artist was not flat out embarrassed. Drake for the rest of his career if he disses anybody, will have to expect potential pdf claims. I don’t think ppl are really processing how detrimental this will be long term
@@chimezie7 I hear you I think what keeps confusing me is people keep saying long term like the man is some young gun. He about to turn 38. He is wayyy older than anybody that was mentioned above when those beefs popped off. I think his contract with UMG is about to come to an end(part of why he’s released so many damn albums as of late). Rumors were that he was set to go on hiatus after this past tour.Like I keep emphasizing the run was the run. If you’re a Drake fan this beef not eliminating him from the rotation and if you were not a fan than more than likely you weren’t listening to Drake before so again nothing changes. I think people are projecting what they want to happen instead of giving realistic expectations.
@@TheKidwonda I can agree with his run being unprecedented but one thing I think ppl put too much value on is raw numbers. I think that although his commercial run is crazy, the kind of fans he has cultivated thru his career are mostly casual music listeners. I think his true core audience is smaller than ppl think, artists who make very mainstream music tend to have mostly casual listeners as fans which is why when something like this happens, since they aren’t as invested in the artist, it’s easier for them to just drop them when it’s not “cool” to like them. Which is what happened to Ja. That’s why I compare the 2 not bc of their respective runs but bc the circumstances are similar. The other examples used in the video were not as mainstream as Drake musically so they have far less casual fans than someone like Drake. Which is why the loss in the beefs didn’t affect them as much. Plus, the content of the disses thrown at them was fairly tame compared to what we got in this beef. That’s why I’m saying ppl are greatly underestimating what happened here. I’m not saying Drake will not sell records, bc even Ja still went platinum after the 50 beef. But he will never be the same imo.

I wouldn't be surprised if some individual rap/hip-hop stations increasingly go rogue going forward and refuse to play or at the very least put in heavier rotation future singles of his and he has a hard time getting any more #1s on the rap/hip-hop charts that's not a feature. That said, he's going to continue to have hits in the broader scheme of things outside of rap and hip-hop radio. Because, after all, he's ALWAYS been a pop entertainer first and foremost masquerading as a rapper. He'll continue to collect some Billboard Hot 100 #1s and ultimately pass Michael Jackson for the all-time #1 tally on that chart because the streaming industry is sooooooooooo centered around entertainers like him, because of frontloaded first-week sales and streaming numbers barely any other established entertainer can replicate. Pretty much all of them will be frontloaded and lack any lasting cultural impact past their second charting week, but the point is because the streaming industry is sooooooooo synonymous with Drake, he's insulated to the point where his career is stabilized no matter how bad his respectability is in rap/hip-hop.

He genuinely wishes the best for his culture and would wish the same for drake too if he wasn't a cancer exploiting his community and the future younglings. Kendrick still has love for his peers and would rather focus on other aspects of his life than go out of his way to kick a man when he is down i.e. what 50 did, perhaps trying to relive his glory days at the cost of hurting others. 50 talks a lot about other people's personal matters, seemingly to distract from his own, it's clever but schemy! Thank goodness kendrick came to the scene. He is fighting for morality, love and the future of his community and culture unlike 50 battling for god knows what, doing petty and unmanly stunts like he did ja rule.
Because calling him a certified pdfile definitely shows he wishes him the best. Wanting someone to have a good life by calling them a seggs offender. Try again.
Here’s what Drake needs to do. He needs to do a classic collaboration album with lil Wayne before the end of the year and perform it in the 2025 superbowl. Lil Wayne is the only one who can take Kendrick on lyrically, and it can be a father son collaboration that will repair drakes image to the culture.
After being reminded of Drake's disrespect by having sex with lil Wayne girl when he was in jail, I don't see anybody speaking up for Drake besides Ak, and he is compromised. Fact is Drake did this to himself so as a male almost 40 years old he needs to fix this problem for himself. Relying on the ovo sweatshop writers and paying 'homage ' to even 1990s Erica Badu tracks in the end was his doing. Pride comes before the fall and he has been doing people dirty for too long. Times up, face what you did like a man, finally. And stop using Adonis for photo ops

No way Kendrick would accept an olive branch the way jay and nas made peace. Just found your channel and wanted to say great video, plus everything you said at the end is exactly what Drake currently need to do to evolve as an artist. But now to answer your question is that Drake will not experience a downfall, but his reputation on the other hand is ruined and anyone that he dates or interact with the general public will have questions for him and if people care about the pdf allegations then he will fall slowly; if not we have a r.kelly 2.0 and the only people to take him down will be the next generation since they won't have such a strong attachment to him.
I think people are forgetting that he's been outed (and outed himself) as a pdf I don't think anyone is going to associate him with that both musically and commercially but let's see there's worse creeps in the hiphop/rap industry
At this point i think Drakes best course of actin is to admit the loss, admit he is not really made to be part of the rap culture and publicly state he is going to stick to pop and r&b. I could see kendrick blessing that decision, he straight up said he like Drake in that genre.

Every beef outside of 50 vs Ja are totally different… all them artists were authentic and for the culture not trying to steal it. Any rap song Drake drops there will be a lot of ppl looking at it sideways
Ja was authentic too
@@amenx absolutely… I’m not speaking on authenticity for that battle I’m speaking on the outcome and backlash after the battles… Ja was definitely authentic plus 50 n ja’s beef was really some street shit that just so happened to play out over music and Drake was done worse than Ja
How is anyone in this beef trying to “steal the culture”?
Why didn’t he mention Em vs MGK either? Dude literally had to switch genres.

He'll be fine as far as his overall career is concerned.
The part of his career that will be affected specifically...............is with regard to his stature among the rap/hip-hop community itself.

Rap battles have EVOLVED since the 'beef' between ja rule and 50 cent. Kendrick isn't a petty person outside of rap league, it shows in his work and conduct.
