When you’re the one doing the punching and not getting hit as much, that helps lol. Plus he did take a 10 year layoff so I guess that also did a great deal of benefit to his mental health.
The last man standing from the greatest era of heavyweight boxing. Ali, Frazier, Norton, Lyle and Shavers all gone. Great to see this big man with an even bigger heart still smiling and loving.
I appreciate these younger guys getting an interview like this with George Foreman. I’m 29 and I picked up some good life gems from this man. Needed this.
@Boxing Truth I love how they were so infatuated with his cars and George says "I call this a hall of stupidity, I can only drive ONE car" so much wisdom 🙏🏾
Did you watch the interview because they talked about more than that they talked about his childhood his childhood mentor I suggest you watch the whole interview
The man was so powerful he didn’t need a cool and fancy nickname..just straight "BIG" George Foreman! Salute and many blessings to this iconic human being 🙏🏾💪🏽
George one of the few boxers from the old school that made great business and marketing decisions and created generational wealth for his entire family. Much respect to Big George Foreman
@boxingtruth2167lmao dude how many boxers did that in his era? Y'all are nitpicking some undercover racist excuses for praising the least important aspect of a man. All that shit has nothing to do with class. Notice you fucks won't have that and still will be classless. You guys destroy towns over football games 🤣🤣🤣. Truth is y'all hate Ali this much for being unapologetically black and y'all love George for being the antithesis of that.
George is my GOAT. Love that dude. Ali was losing his ability to move by the time he reached the age foreman was when he won the heavyweight championship of the world. God preserved that man beautifully.
If George had the body he had in 1976 with the head he had in 1995 he would have been unbeatable. Extremely humble, always articulate, just a great interview.
This interview with this iconic hero had me in tears. The way he spoke about another icon and hero Ali and Joe Frazier we don’t have them anymore and how lucky we were to have been around to enjoy them, root for them when they won and cried when they lost. The fact Big George is not only beyond wealthy he still has his health, his family and his God. Of all the great people and athletes that have been on this program this is one that I will never forget and this was conducted at George’s compound amazing. Thanks guys. 😊
George never bigs himself up or pumps his chest. Humble as ever, no wonder God blessed him with a wonderful family, legacy, more money than he made in the ring. Most importantly, peace and a sound mind. Im 32 and he speaks more clearly and eloquently than me lol! Incredible interview, the right questions being asked.
I'm miss my grandparents I like talking to the old people. George transition from wanting to fight people on the corner to leaving fighting to becoming humble. He had a great career loves his family very respected man he drop alot of jems salute to the legend 🫡
I remember George as a kid from the Ali fight. It wasn’t until I got a little older to understand how impactful and wise George Foreman was. Excellent interview kings! Foreman is a wealth of wisdom.
Foreman has outlasted them all. His mind and body appear to be well intact along with his thinking and humor. Now how he did that? Is truly amazing to me and a lot of you. He's not bitter or regretful. He praises other fighters more than anything. Even the ones he lost to. What a hell of a man. Keep on living George. We all love and respect you. And God Bless you sir!!
One of the most thought provoking and well done interviews I have ever seen. The world needs even more George Foreman. There is much more to the man than we thought we knew.
I can't get over how down-to-Earth George is. He's humble, honest, funny and incredibly inspirational. Not something you might expect from such a devastating former heavyweight champion (his match vs. the late Ron Lyle in 1976 is well worth your time). Brandon and Djax were great.
Mr. Foreman is such a wonderful human being. May God continue to bless him and his family. I also own a George Foreman grill, and I absolutely love it.
We as humans are blessed to be still in the presence of Mike Tyson and George Foreman. They are healthy and surrounded by family. The true gladiators of contact sports.
Great interview, this is my favorite episode to this date. My fondest memory of Foreman is when he came back in the 90's in his 40's, and beat Michael Moorer for the heavy weight title, knocked him cold out. I also had a Foreman grill, too. Love the grease catcher on that thing. RIP Muhammad Ali.
That 10 year break probably was the best thing that ever happened to him from a health standpoint. Still being able to articulate his words and talk the way he does. It is a beautiful thing
9:00 this part where George Foreman said “ never a punch in anger” it really reminded me of Thorfinn and Musashi. Long story short both these men were battling anger inside of them and they were great warriors, but this anger control them. Until one they realized. You have no enemies and invincible is just a word.
Never was into football much until recently and had never heard of Brandon Marshall and company, but I really love I am Athlete and the style behind it. You guys have genuine conversations and make your guests feel welcome. And you guys know your basketball
“I just happened to be at the right place at the right time and have a hard punch”.. the humility to say that and mean it as one of the all time greats
I think that break he took really saved his mental health. If he kept going, he wouldn't be as articulate as he is now. It's a shame so many goats are gone and couldn't speak like this.
EPIC...I felt the gravity of it. An Amazing story and he is living history...that part about Ali was trying to win a boxing match and he was trying to kill him then needing to atone for that resulting in a loving friendship...POWERFUL. That's the kind of love and bond this country and this world makes us feel we are above or can't build.
BM and DJ u guys brought over an hour of true authentic love and wisdom out of a man who wanted to harm to a man who Consistently wants to love and Forgive. A great Road map for anyone to follow! Ty and DJ if you decide to play or retire I’ll be rootin for you.
GREAT episode. Salute to you Brandon you stayed true to the vision and it continues to evolve into so much more than A show. Some didnt understand why u moved how u moved but its becoming clearer and clearer. Paper route is dope. I am hip hop is fire. The gyms. The app. Keep shining and let God continue to order your steps and u cant lose.
I respect Big George Forman a great deal. I didn't have positive male role models growing up, and my father raised me. But men like him that turned negative to positive, and I became what he was meant. I love his wisdom. Great interview and most important by "I AM ATHLETE"!!!
I am soooooo.. Inspired to see and hear George Forman articulate the way he did at his age WOW!! ✊🏿😂marvelous interview guys I took away be in the presence more so then the speeches I am a martial artist instructor and teaching these children's the arts 👏🏾😅
The best interview on " I am Athlete" I am a woman who has never had no interest in football or basketball but ever since i found this channel one month ago and subscribed that day and watched just about every video the wisdom that you all share to us is beautiful and believe it or not i take it and write it down and follow it❤️🙏 Thank you.
I so enjoyed this! This is one of the most honest personable authentic interviews I've seen in a long time! So much insight and drops of wisdom! George is such a great story teller and so full of wisdom. I hung on every word! Great content! My first time finding this channel and I will be back! I love the honesty and authentic humor. Keep letting that light shine!
one of the greatest interviews in sports history, to be able to interview a great and allow your ears to hear the stories is the greatest blessing and athlete can endure
This guy is a legend, pure legend doesn’t even have to say much you can feel it. Not even my era but this guy is what they meant when they say “Heros”. Able to reinvent his life not once but twice. Real champion
Respectful interview, good job guys, he’s a legend that’s living one of the few left, remember he’s met and been in the presence of so many greats, including himself not many left.
Man it’s good to see Champ still in great form my little bro Big Sam rip use to watch all your comeback fights we jumped on the furniture the night u won that belt from Michael Moore we was so proud of you your a Legend and a great man God is the way
This is true defination of a champ!! All that wisdom and humility comes from not boxing but what his faith and his belief values!! God bless you Mr Foreman
My first ever boxing match i've seen was his come back victory, when he became a champ again in '94. The first time my father allowed me to stay up and watch it with him.
I truly admire George. Not just because of his boxing which I think he was the best power puncher of all time but because of who he became. A gentleman, a kind man always with a smile. I admire that tremendously!

Your statement is accurate
That’s because Big George did most of the hitting….LOL

Wish they would’ve gotten into his feeling after the Shannon Briggs match, but they covered a lot of necessary material. Great interview 💯

Muhammad Ali is my masculine role model. Nowadays younger men don't have fathers or masculine influences around unfortunately
@@MrKevy40 ok now I’m curious…
What part of my comment implies that I didn’t watch the entire interview?
