I love Homelander’s reaction to Hughie since he was impressed that his heartbeat was steady.
It probably was not steady at all. But HL notices when it's because of fear or rage.

@@poppinbot321 yep. the one thing both comics and show have in common. is that homelander is impressed when someone stands up for themselves. not necessarily to him. but for themselves. and as long as they don't do what he thinks is an insult to him, he gives credit.
Love the "mmm" when Hughie stands up, like Homelander is at least thrilled at the idea of someone openly defying him despite being an ant compared to him, he probably though Butcher was the only one...more than likely the closest to "respect" you can get from him, lol

The real ones who never feared homelander since the beginning were Butcher, Soldier Boy, and Mr. Stan Edgar

Think of it as dozens of voices and hundreds of ambient sounds reaching your ear all at once. You have to focus on 1 voice to make sense of any of it.

The best part is when she fully powered up and levitated, then blasted Soldier Boy with everything she had and all it did was knock him back a few feet lmao.
The scene started looking so badass and ended like a wet fart.
The writers need a way to power her up. She really is no threat at this point and everyone, including the audience, knows it.

Homelander is one of the most effective villains I've ever seen.
I personally think he's the best villain I've ever seen on television. And there are some GREAT ones out there.

Is he? He has super hearing, super speed, super strength, can't be killed by the most powerful weapons, can laser probably 10s of thousands within a minute. All of this basically means he is near-omnipotent god. And yet he can't/for some bs reason does not eliminate 3 rag-tag friends with questionable skillsets.

Its been a while since I rewatched season 3 so maybe I’m recalling wrong, but I swore I remember Vought trying to publicly T-Up a love triangle between Hughie and Supersonic. If I’m right, then all Starlight had to say is “The love triangle between me, Hughie and Supersonic has already been established and has the public talking. Adding Homelander to that muddies the waters too much, and The Deep is already joining and you KNOW some freaks would want us together. Less is more. Keep it a triangle.”
I know Starlight was afraid of HL in the scene but HL is only strong arming because of public approval, so having Starlight logically argue that them together would be bad for PR ruins HL’s leverage.
